  1. How about an Item that when equipped changes you to a DPS spec... AND remembers your hotkey setup for that spec. Then another Item that when equipped changes you to your HEAL spec... and updates to your hotkey layout for that. Then the same for your third spec... if you use it... You get the idea. Quite often it would be beneficial to change my current spec, but it is a nightmare because my skills and hotkey layout etc all change as a result.
  2. Returning player here. I have a character that is +10000 Light Side. There is some Dark Side gear that I would like to work on getting. (never seen any LS that I liked anyway) So I would like to change to be eligible to wear / purchase it. If I remember right, you used to be able to choose LS / DS missions for your crafting, but now it only shows the ones that align with your current faction. So that option is out. Is there a way to slowly work on that conversion? Or do I just have to wait for enough expansions to come out to give me 20k DS points from quests?
  3. While it is not always a problem, the matches where many of the opposing team rely heavily on stuns takes all the enjoyment out of PvP for me. Other games have resolved this by adding a trinket that breaks all stuns. I seem to remember them being on a 30 second timer while the ability was on a 1 minute timer. I could be wrong on the timing. A solution I prefer: Add roots and snares to resolve. and Once Resolve hits full, it automatically breaks all CC currently on you. Resolve then ticks down like normal.
  4. Resolve is a garbage mechanic. It was BW attempting to reinvent the wheel on something that wasnt broken. There are several viable and working mechanics in other MMOs. They chose to invent their own. It has never worked very well at all.
  5. I recently started leveling a healer (commando) and have been having a blast. My problem comes with targeting group members. I would like to use f1-f4 to do so for speed purposes, however I can never get them to work properly. I realize that f1 is for self targeting, and f2-f5 are for group member 1-4. But the order never matches what is in my raid frame. Yes, I use the operation frames as this allows me to not need a magnifying glass to quickly see a groupmate's health bar. I have tried re-mapping the keys but can not get it to consistently work. Is there anyway to have hotkey targeting work consistently for groups in raidframes? Is this a bug? Working properly (and stupidly)? or is it me that is just missing something? Do I have to use the terrible group windows to use hotkeys? Am I stuck mousing forever with Raidframes? Please tell me it isnt so.
  6. Allow us to spend 50cc per item to use the opposite faction look on existing items. I understand at first you wanted to keep with lore and have each side look the part, but with cartel armor that crosses those lines, that reasoning is no longer valid. Allow us to choose which look we want for each item. You already have all of the armor built for every model. Just allow it to be selected.
  7. It already does. It only costs 6 credits for items you sell at 100. But it scales all the way up to 6000 credits of something you sell for 100,000 credits. The benefit to having the fee is for people who enjoy the social aspect of selling. People who enjoy working hard at selling in open trade. The people who play the game because they enjoy making a business out of their crafting. The guy who sits on fleet and hawks his wares can always under cut the GTN. If you want to be lazy, pay the fee. It is a small fee to be able to play the game and not have to sit around selling your junk. A guy in my guild has over 700million credits from crafting. He constantly sits in fleet making and brokering deals. He loves it. He could certainly afford the fees, but thats not something he worries about.
  8. It absolutely is. I have stripped the enhancement out of Jedi Knight gloves to use in my Trooper armor several times. This becomes particularly useful when trying to replace the garbage enhancements you get in Rakata with a Columi one. (you would think the higher tier would have better enhancements lol) Enhancements are usually best since they only contain Endurance and Secondary Stats (Crit / Absorb / etc) But there is no reason you could not pull out the mod and armoring to put in a companion piece if you like the look of your companion armor already. Or just replace the enhancement and use that piece for your companion. If an item has mods in it, you can always pull them out and do what you want (other than trade them because they are bound) edit - armoring is slot (ie. gloves) specific... so you cant move them all over from columi.
  9. I have a suggestion on what to do with Port Nowhere.
  10. Why not a 2 step fix? Set a hard-cap for stats on PvE gear when used in PvP? For example, if one item has 100 Strength on it and another has 130 Strength, they would both count as 100 Strength when fighting in PvP. This would eliminate the possibility of high end raiders having a distinct gear advantage in PvP. It allows PvE gameplay to have progression without affecting PvP. Then add an augment slot that can ONLY be used for a PvP augment. By adding a specific slot only for PvP, you allow Progression in PvP without any effect on PvE. Now both systems have progression that does not impact the other. People are free to pursue whichever system they want, or they can pursue both.
  11. I understand the issue you have with a low population server, but I have to disagree with them spending any developer time on 'solo' instances. The whole game is already a single player game. Perhaps your server would not be so dead to start with if there were actually something to do with other people. It was over a month ago that I first heard people complaining on my server because they had already seen it all. Done all the flashpoints and beaten the Ops on nightmare mode. I am glad I did not race through the content as quickly as they did, but many people did. With the destruction of PvP with the 1.1 patch, it eliminated all the dynamic content in the game. Especially for Republic on my side. Your choice was to go to Ilum and face 5 to 1 (or worse) odds (even if you managed to come up with a full op group to go) and get slaughtered, or after a week or so face opponents that out-geared you by a large margin in war-zones. Beating your head against the wall is not my idea of fun. So I have to say "NO" to more solo content. I would rather them create group content and dynamic content that encourages people to play together... and give people a reason to log on. That way you will have people to do stuff with.
  12. You don't have to do heroics. I never bothered with half of them. I did my class quests, and I did some side quests, and when it was time to move on, I did. The game is not linear. You do not have to do every quest to level. You don't have to finish every objective on every planet. If you want to do it for 'story' that is fine, and it shouldn't matter if they are gray at that point since you are doing it for 'story.' When you visit a new city on vacation, do you have to visit every shop? See every monument? Eat at every restaurant? You are not supposed to (or required to) in this game either... but you can if you want.
  13. The 2 man on Belsavis can be soloed. Just takes a little longer. Im not sure what server you are on, but I see people asking all day long for a group to do the 2 man. I never see people ask more than once. And if I am doing it, sure enough I will see that person and one or two more people in their group heading for the entrance. Join a guild that plays at the same time as you. The quest takes all of 10 minutes. I and others in my guild go help people do it all the time, all they have to do is say they are heading there in guild chat when they log in. Even if we have already done it, we go because it is super fast and easy and helps the guild grow.
