  1. It's a model every company has... If you are an early adopter you are the ones that pay in the end. I feel for your situation and I can see where you are coming from but consider this: Despite the trend towards making products last forever, everything has an expiration date. If you buy a new 2014 car this year, you can't expect to get a refund in about 9 months when the car dealers try to get rid of their old stock to make room for new years. This is called depreciation and it is the same thing for this expansion. I recently purchased the expansion as I just returned to the game a few weeks ago. Had I not gotten ANYTHING for purchasing the expansion and then they decided to make it free, I would have felt jaded and I probably would have quit. Yes it was $10, but in the end, it is money which requires hard work in this day of age. When you spring a marketing deal all of a sudden with no hype or word of it weeks before, it is often considered unfair business practice if there is no plan to reward those up to a month. They don't have to do this, but it was kind of them to return something to me worthy in price which really doesn't cut into their revenue. You made out okay, you were playing the expansion for a few months.. You were an early adopter and that should be enough for you. I guarantee that you have gotten $10-$20 worth of entertainment out of this game since the xpac launch.
  2. The Shadowlands. It's a not a vastly underpopulated server by any means. I just think it's a little ridiculous the expectations people have for HM FP's. I am sure this whole thing is probably healers getting too comfortable with their ops-geared guild mates and their overgeared tanks doing HM FP's regularly.
  3. Most suggest using your basic comms on things such as the relics first, then isotopes and not even bothering with 53 artifact gear.. At least that is what is what everyone seems to be telling me.
  4. HALP! I just got L55 on my Juggernaut tank and when I think of L55 HM FP's I think of it as the one-stop for gearing out towards the bare minimum for operations. If I am wrong in assuming this mentality, and this is an archaic way of looking at things, please say so. All of today, I've been having issue after issue with healers. I've had no problems holding threat so any damage that goes out to the dps and healers are pretty minimal... So when I see myself dropping in health and not getting heals ( and i don't mean spike/unhealable, i mean steadily) it frustrates me. Plus when the healers dps instead of healing, it gets really annoying. Especially seeing a healer from a known raiding guild on my server in a mix of mostly raiding gear with a few 69 modded pieces who wasn't really bothering to heal me, it honestly made me long for wow again. I have been back maybe two weeks now after an 11 month hiatus, and I have to ask, is this a normal saturday night on swtor when trying to do HM's? Or is this the normal any night on swtor? I was hoping to avoid jumping into an overly social guild atmosphere yet for my own reasons. Is the only way to get these things done cleanly is through a guild? I have done my best to look up information on what I should be health wise for HM's, I have spent about 500-600k on a mix of purple/blue 66 mods... Is there a particular health point i should shoot for? I would have thought 28k health would be enough for all of the L55 HM's but I could be offbase on that one. Am I missing something? Are my expectations of others too high? I don't mean to sound condescending but when you fail 9/10 HM's you attempt in a day because the healer's force, energy and heat barely move... I have to wonder what the heck I need to do?
  5. Here's my issue with the PTS.. it echos all the way back to Selective Beta Testing during the game's over-hyped months in 2010/2011. Everyone was chomping at the bit to get into beta testing. Not just weekend testing but normal beta testing. Everyone that I knew that got invitations said that initially, for the first few months, they did all the feedback they could to help fix things involved in the game, but the developers never responded, and the new builds never showed much in the way of correcting the more reported bugs. If I am going to commit my time on the PTS, i'd like to think that it would be going towards making the game better with the new content. Since there is very little reward for doing anything on there, there is no incentive to test their game. It forces them to do it themselves and actually play the game they develop.

  7. I think the primary issue here is the either intentional or unintentional item squish they did for this expansion. If you had even columni or even rakata gear, there wasn't much in the way of questing OR heroic upgrades to attain throughout the level grind process from 50-55. I was honestly astonished what I saw having come back to the game just recently after a 10 month hiatus. You can't expect much in HM Flashpoints because these are the flashpoints people play catch up on to get to operations. With the amount of gear that drops from these bosses, you are either very lucky to get your Black Market drops, or you have sold your soul to a demon to get them. All I ever see is Bounty Hunter gear drop.
  8. Not at all, but if you wish to mail me in game with your name, i'll look for you on sunday evening.
  9. Yup, empire side. You're more than welcome to stick around to help.. We're gonna try to have some fun with this
  10. Greetings everyone! In a show of good faith to bring the community together, we would like to offer free +10 datacron runs on the fleet for anyone interested on Sunday 9/30/2012 around 8:20PM EST. If all goes well, you won't even need your crystal or your MGGS, but having them wouldn't hurt either. We will have people in place to extricate people as necessary. If you have any questions, feel free to msg Jaylai in game or send an in game mail. PM'ing me on the forums works as well. -------------------- We are also looking for a decently geared DPS Hybrid Madness Sorc for our 16m raids, if you can make Tuesday and Wednesday night raids, 8:30PM EST to 11:30PM EST, please see our website: www.swtorcultofpersonality.com for more details! More spots in the interest of competition are opening, check out the website anyway if you're looking for a home!
  11. I am happy for those that have been moved. In no way shape or form do I berate someone who has gotten a better end of the stick. But I do have to ask.... What do I need to do to make my $15/month match these lucky wonderful people? It seems to be that there is some customer segregation going on.
  12. Aww come on don't you enjoy it when your weekly pvp missions turn into a bicentennial?
  13. So is "quickest to logon forums, whine about cancelling sub, and then cancelling it." It's like long jump.
  14. Sounds to me like EA/Bioware doesn't want to pay a big group of people overtime. Bravo penny pinchers, bravo.
  15. Honestly, this is ridiculous.. TC, have you ever played a MMO before? Or, a MMO at launch for that matter? We are still in the launch area, believe it or not. These teams of developers, server admins, and database admins need time to get their timeframes down to an art. Yes, it sucks that the servers are down, but honestly, do yourself and everyone else a favor and suck it up. Find something else to do. If it happens to interfere with your raid times, you are foolish for having a raid on patch tuesday. Let's cut these devs a little break and give them the time they need.
