  1. I received this yesterday from a member of BWC in our Planetside 2 Regiment who would like me to post this here: "My first knowledge of BWC was from Planetside 1. To me, BWC was hardcore to the extreme and the best outfit around and, viewing this family form the outside. I thought, there is no way I would ever be good enough to play with this group. Fast forward to PS2. Gaming with another outfit that had well a different way to play, more or less being a slightly controlled Zerg. Being a Galaxy pilot in a very free form environment was hard. While I could do whatever, getting people to tag along and play my style of play was not. Burned out people started to point me to BWC. I thought that there is no way. Not good enough, but I tried anyway and well I was completely surprised. Almost 4 years later I cannot imagine gaming with anyone else. I say this because I thought I would lose my individuality but that was the complete opposite. There is form and structure while adding your uniqueness to the family. I also will pass my experience with MMO guilds. Having been in 3 big WoW guilds, leading in two of them as well as heading a SWTOR guild. I can say that I wish I had BWC when SWTOR launched. That being said I am not telling you that your gaming group should all join BWCs. However in the WoW guilds where I was X.O. I can say from experience that when we merged and became something bigger. Amazing things followed. One guild I was in was struggling but hanging in there. It was middle of Wrath. People were burning out going, coming, and it was a difficult time to raid. So we merged with another guild. Afraid to lose control and identity, we did so with caution. My guild was the bigger guild but I was the only tank left. The other guild was much smaller and had been reduced to doing 10 man's and could barely run it but had amazing healers and an awesome tank. Everyone was nervous. There was contention on how things should be done, but all of us leaders met, and we worked through it, and then brought it before our combined guild. Some people left, and some quit after due to personality conflicts. However the people who stayed and the new people that joined soon after our merger, went on to become one of the most successful guilds on our server. The group that formed became a family. We went from struggling to meet content to becoming an achievement guild that downed everything save heroic 25m LK and Halion that expansion. We went from playing two three nights a week to raiding every night, and I am not kidding. We enjoyed each other company and playing SO much that we would find things to do. It is because of this that I was extremely privileged to get the Herald of the Titans achievement. An amazing test of skill and team work and would not have been possible without a family of gamers working for each other."
  2. Over the past several months, BWC has had GREAT success in recruiting like-minded individuals in SWTOR into our Community. I say "community" and not "guild" because there is a distinction. BWC is much more than a simple Guild in a single game. We are an international community filled with family and friends from all walks of life that have a common interest: we love to play video games! Everyone within BWC has a unique story of what brought them to us and I would like to take a minute and share mine. I had formed a guild with 12 of my RL buddies and everything was awesome at first. We were really successful as a group and had a lot of fun! Then one of our friends had to leave because he was being deployed. Then another left because he had a baby. Then another and another until all that was left was 3 of us. At that point, we went our separate ways to different guilds because of our varying play interests (hardcore vs casual) and I didn't get to play with them much after that. The same thing happened again on the Harbinger except this time I co-founded a guild with friends I met online. Same result, we drifted apart. I discovered BWC through the game Star Citizen and didn't realize until after I joined that they played SWTOR also. I reactivated my account after being inactive for a few months and found myself in the middle of a thriving community filled with gamers who just like to have fun. I was content to settle in and just do some casual stuff in game for a while, just logging in, hanging out, killing some operations bosses and logging out for the night. I started paying attention to how much work our leadership was putting into making sure our members were having as much fun as possible. I decided I wanted to be more than just a casual player again. I wanted to help this community grow. Fast forward to now, I am responsible for organizing and maintaining all end-game raiding operations for BWC to include teaching and mentoring our members on how to be a better "raider". Several times since I've been in BWC, we have talked to full raid teams and even other Guilds about joining the BWC community. Some have joined us and some haven't for various reasons. If you are part of a raid team or leadership of a guild that's struggling to hold a consistent member base, this is what I would tell you: Since BWC caters to all different play styles and offers such a wide variety of games to play, there is an opportunity for your group to join us and still get to be together as friends. Even if some of your buddies decide they are tired of SWTOR and want to play something else, they are still a part of your community and are just a PM away on our forums or a poke on our TS3 server.
  3. Having a blast here tonight in Black Widow Company. We've got 30 people online running flashpoints for conquest right now and we've still got folks logging in. Apply now at the-bwc.com and join the fun!

  5. This past week, <Black Widow Company> conquered Voss with just over 20.3 mil points. This total was the 5th highest among all guilds for both factions across all servers! A HUGE salute goes out to <HK's Vanguard> for providing serious competition to us in fighting for this planet. O7 O7 O7 O7 O7 O7 O7 As a result of both this win and our recruitment operation 2 weeks ago, BWC has seen an awesome surge of new recruits and we are more active than we have ever been before. I would like to say "Thank you" to all of our members (both long-standing and brand new recruits) for making SWTOR just as much fun to play today as it was nearly 3.5 years ago. The fun has just begun! If you are reading this and are looking for a guild that makes this game FUN, I invite you to visit us at http://the-bwc.com/ and fill out an app! - parsec

  7. <Black Widow Company> is alive and very much active on Pot5! We invite you to join us as we do some PvP, Operations, GSF, leveling and anything else you can think of in-game this weekend. Starting at 5:00 pm today and through 11:59 pm on Monday, the BWC will be hosting guild events that will be aimed at recruiting. These events will run 24 hours a day for the next 4 days and we would love for you to come have some fun with us. If you have fun with us too, head over to http://the-bwc.com/ and submit an application! As always, there is no level, gear, or experience requirement for joining BWC! Keep an eye on this thread over the next several days as our current members (and hopefully some new ones too) will be posting their experiences running with the good folks of Pot5. If you are online and you want to have some fun, whisper anyone in <Black Widow Company> on the Imperial side or <BlackWidow Company> on the Republic side. We would love for you to join us, even if its just for an hour to run a FP or an Op, or as a permanent member!
  8. Update: Black Widow Company is almost to the halfway point of our Galactic Star Fighter Cartel Assault Campaign and we are having a blast! Every Wednesday night, up to 20 of us have grouped for GSF training and then a couple hours of "sync queuing" live fire operations. Since we began our campaign, we have noticed a significant increase in GSF activity on Pot5 and also have seen some new aces from other servers! It has made for nearly continuous queue pops and whether we won or lost, we've had some great fun!. Congrats to our member Jaxiin for earning this past month's GSF MVP award! He is an ace pilot and if you are unlucky enough to see him on the opposing team, better watch your six This campaign goes until June 10. If you are interested in being a part of the action, please go to http://the-bwc.com/ and apply today! Right now, we are looking for recruits who are interested in Hard Mode progression. We have two raid teams that are working on both Hard Mode Ravagers and ToS every Tuesday and Thursday at various start times in the evening. We are looking for dedicated and reliable folks that can be there every week and follow basic raiding mechanics (watch your feet, don't pull threat, follow instructions from the Raid Leader, etc). These raids are not about pulling ridiculous DPS numbers. They are about following mechanics. If you are interested in doing progression raiding, please go to http://the-bwc.com/ and apply today! O7
  9. Thanks for the fun times on Tatooine last night <RL> and congrats on your kill! We'll try to make it tougher for you next time
  10. Thanks for the fun times <RL> and congrats on your kill! o7
  11. BWC Star Wars The Old Republic (SWTOR) regiment kicked off our Cartel Assault Campaign (CAC) in Galactic Starfighter (GSF) this past Wednesday with great success! Every guild member that attended received an Introduction to GSF training followed by a couple hours of live-fire GSF matches. We had 16 people attend the Introduction training and then 12 were able to stay for the matches. Queue pops were fast, the matches intense and great fun was had by all! Our goal for next week's GSF CAC operation is for 16 pilots to attend. Based on the feedback we received from our members that attended this week and the RSVPs we already have for next week, reaching that goal should not be a problem. The best part is that in order to participate, all you need is a Level 1 character! Want to know more? Please visit our website http://the-bwc.com/ to begin your journey!
  12. Hello! I represent the <Black Widow Company> gaming community on the Prophecy of the 5 server. I believe we may be a great fit for your team. Our members would be more than willing to provide you with codes that will allow you a one-time free server transfer for a character of your choice. I would like to speak to you ASAP on TS3 voice comms to discuss options on joining our Guild and remaining intact as a raid team. Please see below for more information specific to <BWC> as a whole. The Black Widow Company is a veteran-owned, award-winning, multi-gaming community which has been successful for over ten years, primarily in first person shooters and MMOs. In that time we have built a solid reputation in online gaming as a community that believes in integrity, fair play, dedication, and teamwork. You can expect a highly organized unit with a mature and professional gaming attitude. We provide content for casual and progression Raiders, casual and competitive PvP and Galactic Starfighter, as well as maintaining an environment conducive to general fun in less organized play styles. There is no gear or experience requirement for joining BWC. We run in-house trainings that will allow each member to advance in skill and understanding as far as they are willing to push themselves. BWC is primarily Imperial and hosts progression raids on most nights from 7:30pm EST to Midnight EST. We also run events on every day of the week, everything from PvP Ops to trainings. We have a guild flagship, 10% Rep/XP bonuses, and consistently place in the conquest leaderboards. Our team motto is “ONE TEAM, ONE FIGHT”, and we apply that mentality in every game we play, and to everything we do, without risking or compromising our desire or our ability to have fun at the same time. Please see our recruitment thread here for more details on who we are and what we're about: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=717557 I'm looking forward to meeting you!
  13. Hello! I represent the <Black Widow Company> gaming community that has been in existence for nearly 12 years. Please check out our recruitment post here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=717557
  14. Black Widow Company Star Wars The Old Republic (SWTOR) regiment is launching their next Cartel Assault Campaign (CAC) in Galactic Starfighter (GSF)! Galactic Starfighter (GSF) is a unique game mode in SWTOR where players enter into an arena style combat area (IN SPACE!!!) and fight over objectives to the last pilot. The exciting thing about GSF, especially for new players, is that your character's levels, gear, and class from the ground game do not matter -- only your skills with a starship. GSF gameplay is simple enough to jump right into and play, while still being more complicated than other similarly styled games such as Star Conflict. Even if you’ve never played SWTOR or GSF before, this new campaign will make you an ace in very little time!
