  1. dont buy any of the products from Best Buy, friend of mine works there and half the employees that play swtor opened the items get the codes then repackage the items with noone the wiser. Course they mostly play swtor in the back when there is no "geek squad" repairs required. course don't deal with best buy if you want quality anyhow.
  2. Yea I know how ya feel, been 50 for a month and done the flashpoints hard mode repeatedly and the ops repeatedly until it's no longer entertaining or needing items. there's just no randomness or camps to relax at. That's what I enjoyed about dark age of camelot, the mob camps, you could chill out at a camp or enjoy a few of the random encounters that roamed the GIGANTIC zones. doing dailies in swtor saving that same guy every single day is annoying... and makes no sense you'd think after saving him once you wouldn't have to save him every single day. hehe, dailies suck. but boredom... I agree, the themepark was fun but I think it's about time to step off the ride.
  3. The lore fits in the game at least. Kira right before our "wedding" says she found that Master Satele the head of the jedi council had a child and was involved in a romance. She says she will investigate this further. Kira then informs you that she finds an old obscure law that jedi's can get married as long as it's overseen and monitored closely by the council. afterward I chose to wed Kira no light or dark side points. but max affection with Kira now
  4. that is why i dont discuss anytime loot drops i click need if i want it and that's that, we dont have time in a flashpoint or operation to discuss each and every loot drop and people that think companions arent great solo, mine is geared out in rakata, columi and a tionese piece and he's even a healer and soloed 2 strongs without losing health was insane. some of the top geared companion vids on youtube are crazy sick what you can gear your companions up to do. companions get seriously insane in top gear. there's no way in heck im gonna listen to some holier than thou 'political correct' wannabe shout morals and ethics at me, it's my popup and it dont come with a EULA or TOS, so I roll need for me and companions. course my guild all do the same, but we've kicked idiots from pickup groups out of the group when they start trying to preach about loot rules. Id much rather hope for good random's than listen to some autistic rant about loot rules that do not exist except in his own head.
  5. they are just whinging cause they missed out on loot for their foot or wrist, so now they take this evangelical holier than thou right and try and force it down the left's throat. all we do is why they keep harping and whining and preaching the morals and ethics we have already clicked need and got more stuff to equip our companions with. keep it up though it's quite entertaining, you'd think they were devout televangelists from TBN. when my groups get loot there is no discussion on the loot heck most every piece that drops everyone clicks need and we finish our run, unless it just absolute or crap everyone just clicks need and is off to next fight. and I'm only missing 2 pieces of rakata to be in full rakata gear as far as armor goes, I crafted my 2 rakata relics myself since i clicked NEED on all the alloys also. don't push your morals and ethics on my loot decisions and I wont tell you how to play your class or complain about your skills. the companion is the extension of the character, the loot box doesn't come with a EULA or a TOS. Click what you want and go on, for everything else there is s t f u
  6. I always click need for companions... the companions are essentially you. and ive never had anyone play the 20 questions game when loot popup appears. I press need others press greed and someone else presses need, if I win then woot heck my main companion is in full columi/tionese gear with rakata gloves and the daily commendation rakata earpiece/implants makes soloing daily quests super overpowered.
  7. you can still play SWG download SWG off torrent and connect to free pre-nge based "freeshards" easy peasy and fun for a while, and fun on older pc's
  8. will definitely demonoid it. Cant wait for ME3, still got my savegames for me1 and me2 backed up on external hdd
  9. I'm pretty much full vigilance My spec - http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#500cMZIuMRMhddhRZMM.1 I use soresu form and I tank the hard mode flashpoints just fine with guild when I run pve dailies I use Doc and can switch to shien form to blast through mobs quicker. But I have columi gear with the reduced timer on combat focus insta, and the skill that boosts the focus gain on sunder armor so it's my primary focus builder. even with Soresu form I'm never really starved for focus with those 2 bonuses. I love soresu+vig for tanking to be honest much more than defense line or focus line. course everyone has personal preferences, but a soresu vig tank for guild and I can swap to shien if i want to fill a 'lesser' dps role is nice. I use shield generator offhand for soresu tanking and armor mods are built around defense and high hits, atm buffed im around 18.5K hits but I can get a little higher when I get some aug slotted implants/earpiece
  10. /signed pvp gear on jedi knight is horrible, mix between spandex/leotard with a backpack? w t f jedi wears a backpack? bump
  11. What is going to really make this game fail it the new content expansions costing 59.99 - 69.99 per expansion thank god for Eve online though where all expansions are free, there are no instances and no sharding, and is still the only game server running on a supercomputer.
  12. i only buy from "lazy listers" i wont buy the item if it's price is inflated higher than the default. even if i want it really badly or really need it, I walk away, until I see it's price close to or at the default price, then ill grab it. everyone should do the same. and put a screw to the market gamers. Only buy at default.
  13. this is really a Coop RPG... similar to if you wanted to play neverwinter nights online or something. i soloed 1 to 50, did all the sidequests and every planet bonus series so i had full set of orange gear in my 40's got to 50 in week 2, farmed solo dailies on belsavis and ilum for daily commendations outfit my char in all daily level 52 armor platings and hilt, and got my companion in all 52 armor platings and barrel never did a heroic or flashpoint until my 3rd week at 50.
  14. I have a Nostromo N52 I never touch the keyboard when playing anymore
  15. I use Doc as my primary companion he's in full set of orange gear, purple crafted bracer with aug slot and purple belt with aug slot. rakata earpiece and purple aug slot implants. Full set of ilum daily armor platings and barrel has just over 15k hit points and heals like a monster gear up your fav companion and it's night and day difference. My doc can with very little effort keep me at full health while soloing 1 elite and 2 strongs at same time your companions are essentially YOU, so ignore moral and ethics political correct mmo committee and click Need in raids for items you need for your companion and get them uber. makes things very fun when you actually start feeling a little epic soloing certain encounters.
