  1. Could you sound any less of a d*ck then you already are? Do you honestly believe I'm stupid enough to stand on that big shiny circle when it's painted on the ground and go "oh what's that!"....then a few seconds later "hey it's changing colour to red, cooool!". How about you give advice before you blow smoke up your own backside. I'm a Scoundrel Scrapper and I HAVE solo'd my way to the final boss by simply skipping the trash mobs and taking care of the miniboss with Guss Tuno so I can get to the end but as a Scoundrel, I'm not exactly built for tanking and Guss can't heal that fast.
  2. Please Bioware reduce the difficulty of this to H+2 just like the Belsavis daily heroics that have gone down to H+2 or to just being a normal mission. I say this because there's a lot of empty servers out there and for PvP English servers there's only 1 and a half that are highly populated. The rest are empty deserts. In saying that, I'm from Hex Droid and the most amount of people I've seen in Blackhole are 5. It's just not fair that people in low population servers can't do some of the content as if we knew that our servers will eventually be empty. If that can't happen then at least reduce the difficulty of the final boss. I'd happily solo him if it means I'll get my daily and weekly quest requirements fulfilled. Before any of you say anything about moving. Why should I move? Those of us in the lower populated servers pay the same money as the rest of you but do not enjoy the same content. We've grinded to 50 with our toons and I don't see why we should abandon them with end game gear. At least try to understand where we're coming from before dismissing this plea as a QQ or anything else for that matter. Thank you for taking your time to read and sorry if I've offended anybody, it wasn't my intention.
  3. As scoundrels, we already know that we're the hated orphan childs of this game. Our adopted parents (Bioware) don't like us that much and will do anything and everything to make our lives miserable. The thing about many of the scoundrel players is that they hold their chin up high and soldier on like a boss.
  4. Scoundrels are still tough cookies (well squishy cookies). They do decent amount of damage and they can still solo ALL the daily commendation quests with the exception of the H+2 Darkness on Ilum. I know Bioware changed the mobs around with some of the Belsavis dailies to make it harder for Scoundrels to solo as it's unfair for the rest but you can still solo every single one of them easily with Gus Tuno on your side. If you solo all of them, these net you over 200k a day. PvP wise Scoundrels still pack a punch and I think once you get to War Hero gear, you'll do pretty well. I'm on full BM now and I have my gripes with energy issues but all we can do now is simply scream at Bioware or just learn to live with it.
  5. Is this for PvE or PvP? Battlemaster has better stats than Columi, even for PvE use. I'm a Scoundrel though. I did however went for 2 Columi Enforcer pieces with BM mods and the rest are crafted BM with augments. The 2 columi add 16% crit chance to Shoot First and Back Blast. In the skill tree, there's also a skill that adds 15% crit chance to these attacks so that's 31% excluding my crit rate. I rarely miss a crit with these big openers. PvP gear for my class don't seem to have the best set bonuses. It's wise to just mix and match to whatever you desire.
  6. That's what I've went with. Only I have a full BM gear and working my way through to WH. I have however got 3 crafted BM gear with Cunning augments and the other 2 pieces are actually Columi with BM mods. The reason I went for this road is with 2 PvE pieces, I'll get my 15% crit chance added to an already 16% chance (element of surprise = skill tree) to SF and BB. This way I end up with 31% crit to my big openers and I have to admit, I have rarely missed a crit from these 2 skills.
  7. If you want more crits with those BB and SF then have you tried removing the mods from your PvP armour and stuffing them in a PvE gear? In your Skill Tree you've got Element of Surprise which adds 16% crit chance to SF and BB. I've also got 2 pieces from Columi which I stuffed with Battlemaster mods and those 2 pieces give me an extra 15% crit chance to SF and BB. I have rarely missed a crit from these skills since I switched to that gear. The rest of my gear is Crafted Battlemaster with augment slots to which I shoved Cunning augments. The reason I used this is because I saw no point in keeping an extra 5 energy in exchange for bigger opening hits. I know energy is of the essence with 1.2 Scoundrels but heck, an extra 5 energy would give you just one more BB which probably won't crit
  8. Pre 1.2, most scoundrels worked on an energy conservation play style. You had to keep no less than 60% energy at all times which meant you could keep on using your big skills all the time. You could easily do this with only Pugnacity and dropping flurry of bolts every 2-3 cycles. I guess Bioware clocked on to this and decided to tax us with energy so now you don't only use Pugnacity but Cool Head has become a necessity in most cases. Cool Head pre 1.2 was a skill left untouched and only to be used in case of emergencies. It was great at that but now it's part of your rotation. 60% energy might still be feasible in PvE but I highly doubt it will be in PvP. I've tried and you just can't hurt people as a Scoundrel of the old days.
  9. Don't get your hopes up about 1.3 augment tables. I'm sure there's a catch somewhere there. This is Bioware we're talking about. They mentioned for 1.2 we'll be able to move mods from end game PvE and PvP sets to custom gear and have set bonuses move with it. They forgot to tell us that this will only apply to the new gears. I'm not holding my hopes up that high only to have a Bioware staff Sparta-kick it from the edge.
  10. Pre 1.2 with Gus as a Scoundrel you could solo pretty much every single daily mission you encounter including the Belsavis H+4. The only one we had problems with is the H+2 'Darkness on Ilum'. There're also some other Belsavis Heroics you could solo but do not give you Daily comms. I hear Bioware caught on to this and reshuffled mobs around key objectives for the H+4 daily ones so we can no longer solo them. It's a bit annoying since I used to make over Cr 200k per day just doing dailies pre 1.2 In PvE the best thing we could ever use in H+ instances is the Tranquilliser dart. If we face a strong with 2 elites, we just sleep the strong and continue to disembowel the 2 mobs before the strong can even wake up. I also used to use the dart on some champion mobs in some of the Belsavis H+4 dailies to sleep champions around objectives and skip the fight.
  11. It depends on the build. Most of the time when I'm asked to join a group, they always ask if I'm built for heals. I've always preferred Scrapper so I rarely get into parties. If you don't want to go full Sawbones for a long term then how about you switch to Sawbones and just gear up for Scrapper with the Enforcer sets. That way you'll be invited for many parties and gear up for the DPS stuff which you'll eventually settle down to. I'm stubborn so I'm still sticking to Scrapper and riding this train of nerf and Bioware rage........
  12. This has thread has turned into a Gus appreciation thread instead of giving advice to the OP......In saying that, I am so sorry for quoting Gus , I didn't know what I was about start!
  13. I like this idea. To add on it, solo instances with story generated from each companion. That would be sweet, this way we'd switch our play style for each companion and each instance so our play style won't be rigid. For example if I go with DPS companion, I'd switch to a healer build and do some healings to keep us alive. If it's a healer companion, I'd switch to full DPS. If it's a tank companion then I'd switch to a hybrid build and do some healing and damage to get us through.
  14. I'm not asking BW to hand me end game gear on a daily basis just like that. I'm merely suggesting a solo instance like in games such as Aion where you can spend like 30+ minutes in one and to be fair in that game you never really get any end game gear from final boss. You only get like special potions and other consumable items. How about they do the daily instances quests like the Warzone ones where if you complete 5 daily instances you can get a token for Columi or something and the dungeon can only be entered once a day.
  15. If you're a full DPS then there's no question that you should have a healer companion if you're going to solo. The best healer companion has to be Gus Tuno. I'm a Scoundrel so my words may not carry that much weight as you're looking for words from other Gunslingers. I will say this however, as a Scrapper Scoundrel going full DPS, Gus is the best option I have. He's saved my behind on more occasions then I could count. As a DPS, I don't need another one next to me, nor do I need a tank. Gus can also stun extra mobs around which is a plus when you're taking on too many. He's helped me solo through a lot of +2 heroics and even some +4 ones (pre 1.2). You don't really need to kit him out with awesome gear for him to shine. I've mostly given him purple hand-me-downs from my Scrapper but he's also got like 2 purple pieces of medic gear and against elite mobs, my HP rarely dips below 70%. At higher levels as you've said, you literally cannot go wrong with Gus Tuno. PS: He's also the funniest companion you can have. I love the part where he screams "I'll heal you with my jedi powers".....then throws a med pack at you.
