  1. Well -- and this is just me, and I'm awful at this game -- I've actually had little to no issues in PvE (soloing). I'm level 30 and don't have a healing companion (and obviously can't heal myself), and haven't really missed it. Me and Corso/Bowdarr mow down things so fast that I can just heal afterwards and continue. I mean I've only died a handful of times, everyone being to me just being bad LOL. I'm sure other people can offer real advice, but I'd recommend just going out there and having fun. When I started the game, I really wanted to be a Sith. I rolled this guy because I wanted to play with my friend, and he was already a Jedi so I figured I'd pick something else. And I've been having a blast with the class, which is odd because even when reading SW books and so forth (yes, I'm a nerd) I only really usually really like Jedi and Sith characters. The Slinger has just been that fun to where I don't notice the difference.
  2. Lol. Well, maybe it won't take too long. I'm generally optimistic... as many issues as I see on the forums, I've (luckily?) experienced few issues with the game, and really like it. I give the company the benefit of the doubt, because I'm sure they are dealing with a lot. And, frankly, as important as I think this is, there are probably a ton of other issues that seem even more important to those who are dealing with them. I just have to remind myself that instant Charged Burst is somewhat hosed by dealing with the GCD anyway LOL, and then I'm somewhat okay.
  3. This exact same thing has been happening to me for a couple weeks or so (maybe more, not sure). At first I thought I was doing something wrong, but now I know I'm not. I tried targeting a mob, rolling into cover, and not touching another key at all. The Snap Shot buff showed up and then instantly vanished. Without me hitting any other key. This is VERY annoying, as it feels like the Snap Shot talent is being half wasted.
  4. I'm in the middle of leveling my Gunslinger, which is actually my first toon. Right now he's level 24, so obviously I don't have access to all of my abilities and stuff yet, which I suppose could solve part of my question by itself. Anyway, I'm going for the Sharpshooter tree, just because that one seemed the most interesting to me. I was wondering, does anyone have any tips for how you play in the Warzones as a SS GS? So far, and I assume it will remain this way, SS is a very Cover-reliant spec. Which is great, but when I have other players running up to me and attacking me, can be kind of tough. I try not to panic lol, but sometimes I just end up running away and hitting any ability I can think of. I mean, I can do Pulse Detonator + Leg Shot to buy myself a few seconds (if I'm lucky), but other than that, I'm at a loss. What is the strategy? Run away, using Leg Shot/Flash Grenade until you get away or a teammate shows up? Stay in place and try to burst them down before they kill me? If anyone has general advice for playing a Sharpshooter in WZs, it would be appreciated
  5. "Vector Prime". I got the first 3 books of The New Jedi Order with a giftcard from my birthday because I liked the Star Wars movies. And I really liked them... I read all of The New Jedi Order and Legacy Of The Force, and am now reading Fate Of The Jedi. I've seen many people voicing very poor opinions of all these series, but I think they're great. They show how the lives of familiar characters have progressed, so there's an instant draw (though this isn't necessary... I'm also reading the Darth Bane stuff). I also think the storyline of NJO, and particularly the one that starts in Star By Star and continues into LotF and beyond, is pretty epic. I like epic.
  6. Who, me? No, I don't even have Trick Shot yet. It's as I said: when I go for Aimed Shot, the Snap Shot proc sometimes vanishes. I know that Snap Shot has a 6 sec limit as well, but it's not due to that. The proc just vanishes as soon as I hit Aimed Shot. Though, the issue may or may not have been ninja fixed; I played today for the first time since Tuesday and it has not happened to me.
  7. Well, at least I know it's not just me doing something wrong. Now, I'm not 100% sure on the mechanics of Cover. Does the Gunslinger pop his head out of Cover momentarily to use certain abilities, like Aimed Shot? Because that would explain why Snap Shot goes away, and I suppose that would even mean it is working as intended.
  8. Anyone? =o I mean, maybe this is working as intended. If so, could someone just say so? Surely someone else must have their Snap Shot vanish when they hit Aimed Shot...
  9. I did a search here and saw a thread on this, but it was a couple of months old so I figured I'd start a new one. The talent Snap Shot is supposed to make it so that if I enter Cover, my next Charged Burst within 6 seconds is instant. I understand this proc vanishes if I leave Cover. One of my favorite openers is to drop into Cover (natural or not), use Aimed Shot, and follow with the instant Charged Burst. However, sometimes when I use Aimed Shot, the Snap Shot proc vanishes. Not really sure why... sometimes it looks like my character stands up a little bit when using Aimed Shot. I don't know if he momentarily leaves cover or something? But if this were the case, by Quickbar would switch back to the non-Cover bar, I would think... Anyone else have this issue?
