  1. Thanks for all the responses. I think part of the problem is that the current trend in the WZs I've been in lately is that everyone runs around freelancing. The Warzones that I do win seems to be extremely strategic and everyone does their role. On the flipside, the warzones that we lose, we lose by a landslide. We were on civil war yesterday and I was trying to get middle with a bunch of my team and I noticed 2 of our team mates went and controlled snow. As soon as they controlled snow they both left it. I tried to say in Ops chat "guys, someone needs to guard snow" but they continued to keep it unguarded which resulted in the enemy team taking it over. Sometimes I try to guard it but I'm nowhere near powerful enough to defend it. I try to call out incoming at the first sight of an enemy but people don't look at Ops chat and no one comes to help. I also notice that when they are 6 enemy players at a turret, a lot of people try to run in solo. Can people not see this does nothing? I've been trying to find groups to do warzones with and I just joined a guild which sounds promising so I'm hoping things will get better.
  2. I understand WZs are mostly objective based, I just posted damage stats so you could see how much the other team is destroying us. You can't complete objectives if you can't kill the other team defending the objectives.
  3. Just a general question, I'm a new level 50, I have about 50% Recruit and 50% BM gear, and I've done close to 40 WZs this week, and have only won 5. I've been going solo, and I know I'm not doing a ton of damage to the opposite team since most of them are fully geared, but I know it can't be just me that's making my team lose. Seems like at the end of the match everyone on my team is around 50-100k damage where as the opposite team is around 100-300k damage. I've been trying desperately to finish my weekly quest (winning 9 PVP matches) but after an all day WZ grind, I'm unable to finish it. What is going on here? I took an 8 month break from SWTOR and before I left it seemed like when I entered WZs it would be a 50/50 match on who would win. Is it possible when I go solo I keep going against premades? I just don't get it. In many cases I'm one of the top damage dealers which shouldn't make sense because I have terrible gear. Can someone help me understand why I'm losing SO many WZs? P.S. I'm a DPS Powertech.
  4. So maybe you guys can help me out a little. I'm a little confused as far as what the best stats are for. I'm a level 35 powertech and I'm not interested in tanking. I picked powertech over mercenary because I liked the abilities better and everyone on the forums said powertechs typically do better in PVP. So here's my question, I'm looking to be mostly DPS, so should I go for Aim primarily? I always have 2 options with gear, primary aim with secondary or endurance, or visa versa. I always pick Aim over Endurance. I'm currently sitting on about 700 Aim and about 600 Endurance with my armor and such. Should I reverse this so I have more endurance and less aim? I seem to hit pretty hard in PvP but I can't take much damage at all. Seems like when I go 1 on 1 with any class my health drains super fast. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance, George

    Warzones bugged?!

I don't know if anyone else has noticed or not, but I decided to do some warzones today on my powertech to knock out my daily quest and usually I'll just keep playing WZs until my daily is done and then I'll quest. Today, I did 15 warzones... and the imps won ONCE. At the end of the game, I look at stats and there's a HUGE gap between damage from imps and republic. Has anyone else noticed this? I find, as a powertech, I'm doing considerably less damage to other peeps that I did a week ago. The unfortunate thing... during the ONE round we were going to win... my wife needed my help and I got kicked outta the WZ. What are the f***ing chances of that. Normally I could understand maybe 5 games in a row losing (because people have premades or certain groups get good strategy) but I've been playing 15 games scattered throughout the day with no groups looking alike. Are the warzones bugged, or did all the republic characters get on steroids?
  6. Ok, that make sense. At my house my main desktop has a Intel Quad Q6600 with 8GB of RAM and a ATI 6850. I typically get around 70 FPS but after they came out with the 1.1 patch I seemed to get terrible FPS. I haven't played since they did the emergency update so I hope it got fixed. Do you think as time goes on it will be smoother to play on lower-end systems?
  7. No I totally understand my specs are too low. I'm curious WHY. I'm able to play LOTRO with medium graphics and it plays just fine. On SWTOR, I can hardly play with all gfx disabled and set to low. I totally understand that I don't have enough ram and that my cpu isn't fast enough. I'm curious why? As far as I can see, the graphics are not much different at all compared to LOTRO. So if the graphics are similar, why such a difference between the two games?
  8. Ok so before I begin, let me tell you the basic specs on my laptop. HP Mini 311 Intel Atom 1.66 GHz with 3GB of RAM Integrated Nvidia Ion Graphics Now I know what you're thinking, where did I get the money to buy such a high-end gaming laptop? But that point aside, I play LOTRO on occasion and I get anywhere from 40-50 FPS even in high populated areas such as Bree. I also play Skyrim and get around 30 FPS. But SWTOR, I average around 10 in the middle of nowhere with nobody around. Now I understand that this game is more graphically intense that say LOTRO, but I don't see how it would bog down my FPS THAT much just from graphics. Especially comparing it to Skyrim. IMO, I would say Skyrim is much more detailed in textures and overall quality. So why is SWTOR so slow? Is it the engine they chose to use? Could it be a mixture of bad lappy hardware and lots of other players online? The reason I'm even attempting to play it on this laptop is cause I work on an ambulance, and we have extremely slow days where we just sit in the ambulance all day long, and I'm pretty sure I've watched everything Netflix has to offer. Thanks in advance. George P.S. I'm not asking for a "fix", I'm just asking for an explanation.
  9. I'm getting real tired of taking forever to finish quests because it takes me so long on the mobs. I think I'm gonna continue on with my trooper for a bit. It's frustrating me too much.
  10. Yes I do believe he was a gunslinger. That does make things more clear. Thanks for the input. I wish sentinels were able to dish out that kinda damage right off the bat. It's not very often you have to endure long fights unless it's a boss.
  11. Definitely smuggler. I know full auto is a trooper skill, I just used that name cause I'm not sure what the smuggler's skill is called. I just know he shot a stream of shots with lots of damage. I don't know what other skills he was using, I just know that he was able to clear the room of mobs in about 10 seconds (with 3 mobs). It takes me probably 30 seconds to clear the mobs when I'm using Doc. I was just disappointed at how much better his DPS was.
  12. So I was questing last night with a Smuggler (same level as me), and his DPS was insanely higher than mine. I don't know what the smuggler's abilities are called, but his "full auto" attack was taking out enemies just from the one skill. He was mowing through targets like it was nothing. I, on the other hand, was struggling with the exact same mobs. I just recently upgraded my hilts and armor to be max for my level and I'm using all my abilities but even my master strike was only taking their health down to half. I'm extremely disappointed in the sentinel class, I got sentinel wanting to do DPS and it appears sentinels is one of the worst classes for DPS. With jedi guardians you can at least have heavy armor. I usually use Kira as my main companion cause she takes down enemies faster, but I've been using Doc a lot more due to the fact that it takes longer to take down enemies and he helps heal. Using Doc is a good way to stay alive but killing mobs takes much longer. Thoughts on this?
  13. I can't explain how glad I am at how fast you can level. I'm a very casual gamer. I have 2 days off a week and on those days off I usually have lots of things to do around the house. So I usually get in about 6 hours of gaming between the 2 days. I'm at level 35 right now and only playing 6 hours a week makes me happy. I played LOTRO and SWG before this. LOTRO it took me almost a year to reach level cap (mostly cause I was playing captain which made it difficult to solo). SWG took forever as well. For me, I have a lot more fun when I'm at level cap. I really enjoy doing PvP and getting armor pieces. I sincerely hope they don't change XP or anything. With LOTRO, I only ever had one character at level cap. With SWTOR, I have 3 characters and it's easy to try them out and see which style I like the most. I don't enjoy doing a TON of questing to level up. Thanks BioWare!
  14. I had a few favorites in SWG, one of my Jedi's was Obi-Wun MyHomie, another one was Admiral Snackbar
