  1. What I really miss from Renown crates is the low level cosmetic gear: custom armour and weapons for lvl 1 and 10 that I was happily using on my characters (of which I have plenty). It was really cool getting some nice looking gear from GTN for a change, especially since I am not a big fan of new CM weapons. Right now, Renown offers just some free Jawa junk.
  2. You have an interesting definition of "casual" players As for the "difficulty", I think most of it stems from lowering level lock on planets. I am on Tatooine atm and I think level lock for it was 32(?), now it's 29. Lower lvl = less dmg/hp/stats = longer fights. The game is not "more difficult", it's just more time consuming (or more inconvenient if you will). Some situations now require more than just spamming a default attack, eg I needed to "plan" to take out a group of mobs that killed me yesterday (yes, killed ! First time in ages - I was spamming force storm [becasue it's awesome] but now it will not cut it). So, yea... the game is not more difficult, it's just more inconvenient.
  3. @MasterRummy Yea, I am OK for now, on my current char I am 2 crew mission skills and I'm sending all available comps to gather gifts. The idea was to max out comps and sell remaining gifts on GTN for sweet cash, but now that "Commander's Compendium" is on CM, I guess that source of credits is bust as well. Poo.
  4. Hello there, A question here: How much are we supposed to make from selling loot? My toon is lvl 64 (still leveling) and was running heroics on DK. After doing all 6 I returned to vendor and sold all the loot from the run (trash and items) which gave me... about 22k. And then I paid 4k for gear repair. Now yes, I know it's less than pocket change for old players, but come on! Selling prices for items have been slashed by about 90% Here is a screenshot of similar item from 5.10 and 6.0. Note selling price. https://imgur.com/0CCcIOs
  5. I wrote about dyes before. Overall I agree that an overhaul is needed, and my idea was similar to yours, but I believe it's simpler because it doesent require changing any armous. My main concern at the time was the issue of reclaiming dyes from collections, something I was against. Here is what I wrote:
  6. Hi, I asked it on Dulfy's site, but I'll repeat it here and add some more Are armours level and class restricted as well? For example: Can my lvl 3 Warrior put on lvl 47 Smuggler chest piece (in appearance tab ofc)?
  7. Hi, I want to talk a out dyes. There are quite a few topics on this subject, mostly focusing on reclaiming CM dyes through "Collections". Personally... I think it's a poor idea. Let me explain: Making dyes "reclaimable" would drive up their desirability, and with it, their price. There would be some increase in "low tier" CM dyes (mostly from packs) price, but the "high tier" dyes (black-black) would become way more desirable and that would lead to greater price increase, which is sky-high already. As a result of "reclamation" and price increase, the volume of CM dyes sold on GTN would quickly fall for because of: A) lower affordability due to higher price B) being able to reclaim additional modules from collections discourages additional purchases by the same player With that in mind I believe that in longer term the price for "low tier" dyes would fall, but volume of sales would still became lower than before due to Collections reclamation. I do not believe that there would be a great effect on craftable dyes, maybe some small fall in sales of "low tier" modules due to "reclaimability" of "low tier" CM dyes, but highly desirable modules (black-red) will remain the same, because they still remain an affordable alternative to CM black-black ones. But... That's just my justification against "Collection Unlocks". However allow me to offer an alternative. I posted something like that before, but I can't remember where exactly, and now I can refine it. My idea would help crafters and would increase CM sales so more $$$ for EAWare: An overhaul of Dye Crafting. * Instead of "ready to use" modules, crafters are able to make any single "dye colours". Those "dye colours" are tradeable on GTN. Cost of crafting them should be lower than current modules, maybe slight variation in cost based on colour desirability (eg crafting "sith black" colour would require more materials than "neon green" colour). * Colours have to be inserted into "dye frame" which in turn can be inserted into armour, and works exactly in the same way as current modules (single use, destroyed on removal, canot be altered after inserting colour into the frame). Frame has 2 slots, one for primary and one for secondary colour, player can insert any colour into either primary or secondary slot, and can leave one slot empty if so desired. * "Dye frames" can only be obtained through CM, with some reasonably low price, say 50cc. Frames are tradeable on GTN. The changes proposed by me would allow constant, affordable supply of all dyes to the market, everyone would be able to get any module they want. Crafting would get a boost, making crafters happy. CM sales would increase because of constant demand for low cost frames. IMO that's a WIN-WIN-WIN scenario. All of the above is just my speculation, I am open to suggestions and/or counter arguments
  8. I think the "simple" solution, and by no means perfect but still an improvement over what we have now, would be disabling "physics" while mounted, just like it is in "preview" window. As I say, there still would be clipping, but less obtrusive that we have to suffer at the moment. Better solution would be making fluffy bits dissappear altogether when mounted, but I imagine that would require some actual work.
  9. Hi, I'm not sure if that has been posted before, but the /thrash emote doesn't loop. It plays for a few seconds and than character returns to idle. I think it used to be on a loop, though I'm not 100% sure of that. So... is it a bug, or is it "Working-As-Intended"?
  10. Hey there, Just to pester you a bit. It's what now... 6 months? I know it's been a bit crazy here recently with 3.0 and subsequent fixes, and we had Christmas as well, but now, that things are starting to slow down a bit, maybe someone could have a look at this? Cheers
  11. Man, I hope not. Let the poor Revan rest in peace. I don't want him to become new Mr Wayland, who has to be somehwere in almost every new installment of Alien franchise (and he dies because he's bad). Leave the chap alone! As for the trailer... No matter what, I will go and watch the movie, no doubt about that. Will I like it thought? Well, that's not entirely up to me, now is it EDIT: If JJ really wants to make a nod towards fans, he should make Revan as a Force Apparition, who appears only for 2 minutes, shows everyone a middle finger and goes away. Yea...
  12. Oh, don't remind me... As for the hot topic of saber... It's weird. The crossguard emitters would be hit by a blade that slips from your own, so the defence purpose is a bit of a miss. As an offensive part of the saber, well... maybe. The blade is a bit strange as well. All sabers that I know of have smooth, solid core, not this... special effect thing. TBH I don't like that, but maybe that's just me.
  13. I'm all for playable Sarlacc. But seriously, I would love to play as a Jawa. Devs said that they will not be putting races that don't speak Basic (English), so no Jawas etc. I DON'T FREAKIN' CARE! I can play as a well educated, English speaking Jawa. As for new animations... Yes, a work is involved here, but that's what I want to pay for. With real moneys like. Make it so!
  14. You could say "survival of the fittest"... but I agree with you. The only way these sellers are allowed to operate is because of broken decimal places system. The comp, eatly bonkers thing is... It's super easy to fix: either get rid of all decimal places, or force 2 decimal places on all items.
  15. I had a great laugh, good job! Now my turn: In the meantime on Dromund Kaas... "Greetings viewers, we are just outside the Trading House on the Imperial Capital, Dromund Kaas. Here, like on many other worlds both in the Glorious Empire and the Treacherous Republic, honest traders have reported incidents where some goods on the Galactic Trade Network were being sold at highly inflated prices. Additionally those prices were deliberately set in the way to confuse honest, hard working people." "We are now speaking with Darth Imperius, a member of the Dark Council who is currently overseeing the GTN activities." "Good day to you My Lord. There are reports of scammers trying, with varying amounts of success, to cheat the GTN users into purchasing grossly overpriced goods, using a confusing number of decimals in unit price column. We estimate that hundreds of millions of credits were lost due to these tactics. There are a lot of angry citizens throughout the Empire and the Republic, some threatening to take matters into their own hands, there is even talk of leaving the Galaxy! These despicable actions may threaten the peace. What can you say My Lord, to ease the pain of those poor citizens who lost their fortunes, and maybe of plans that the Empire may have to combat the scammers?" "Yea, whatever." "Thank you My Lord. From Dromund Kaas, speaking Khalisah bint Sinan al-Jilani, from Compleatly Different Game. Good day. "
