  1. I want addons, but I'm happy to keep them either in house, or have stringent outlines for third party. Real time threat meters. Post fight DPS meters. * Fully customisable UI. Better GTN functionality. And that's. About. It. *As in, after the boss fight ends, a "scoreboard" comes up with DPS, healing, protection, damage taken, sources, all that kind of information broken down into easy to follow categories so you can analyse who's doing what. Should be after every boss fight (kill or not), NOT at the end of a raid. It would be pointless at the end of the raid, as it doesn't allow you to discern what's going wrong and where on progression fights, etc.
  2. Much loling to be had within this thread. I'm not really going to add much to it, other than two things: firstly, I quite like Corso so far (level 20), and secondly... the OP is full of so much aggression and bile and hate and a general sense of looking down on anyone that would DARE like Corso as some kind of sub-human, that I'm actually genuinely astounded that s/he thought people WOULDN'T take offense. Looky here, pal, I don't give a damn if you hate Corso, that's your opinion and you are welcome to it. But don't hate on me because I don't share that opinion!
  3. Played WoW from release, on and off. Quit WoW in August, due to going to America for 4 months on a university exchange. I got back to the UK 2 days before release of SWTOR and haven't looked back. I had a LOT of fun on WoW and have a LOT of good memories from the game. I'll never slate it. But currently I'm having a lot more fun on this game, and intend to stick around. I do have concerns for the horizon with TOR, but also high hopes. I intend to resub WoW when Mists comes out, if only because I've wanted a Panderan since day 1 on WoW (WC3 Brewmaster ftw). I doubt I'll stick with WoW unless TOR really bombs, though.
  4. Oh and a SI line I particularly enjoyed, when confronting Darth Scotia in his office and he goes on about disrespect, or some such. "If you think that's bad, you should meet my other personality." Classic.
  5. In the Bounty Hunter storyline, I always loved the sarcastic digs you could give to Darth Tormen. Also, the cocky liners you give to the Dread Masters, even when they're forcing you to your knees. Basically, any time I got to be cocky in the face of supposed powerful beings was awesome, especially with the male Bounty Hunters voice! My most epic line as a Bounty Hunter, though, was when you confront Tormen after taking the LS option with the Chancellor... "I've waited a long time for this, Tormen." before pulling his pistol out. It just has an epic, ****** feel. Flirt options are always funny too
  6. Thus far, this is how things are going with the "Krow" family. Baelarn [bael for short], is the son of Teraal Krow, a merchant of moderate renown in the Outer Rim. He has a younger sister, Lia-rana [Lia for short]. The two grew up in the Outer Rim, going wherever their father went on his merchant business. Their mother, Fraim, died from disease when Lia was very young. When Teraal was killed by a client he double-crossed, Bael decided to take the path of being hired muscle for merchants, given his aptitude with weaponry and combat. Lia followed in her fathers footsteps and became a merchant. Eventually, she became a Smuggler. Bael was discovered and set on the path of being a Bounty Hunter and Mercenary. Meanwhile, their two cousins, Jayden and Khairn, were the force-sensitive twin sons of Teraal's brother, Kayim. The two twins witnessed Kayims' death at the hands of the Sith during the sacking of Coruscant, and it changed them both irrevocably. Jayden swore to uphold his fathers ideals and protect the galaxy against the Sith by becoming a Jedi Guardian. Khairn, on the other hand, vowed to become the most powerful Sith ever and slay all his enemies. Derrewyn is the half-Zabrak half-sister of Bael and Lia. Teraal had a fling with a Zabrak a few years after Fraims death, producing Derrewyn. He began raising her separately to his other children. Unfortunately when he died, as he hadn't introduced his other children, she was sold into slavery, where she slowly began to lose her mind. Having being found to be force sensitive, she has begun her journey to become a powerful Sith Assassin, though her fractured sanity makes her devious, unpredictable and dangerous. Those are the characters I've thought of so far. I plan on making a Trooper, possibly the older sister of Jayden and Khairn. Beyond that, not a clue!
  7. As obvious as it is, I'm going to have to say Han. Partly because he's cool as frick, and partly because limiting the characters to the movies is a big bloody restraint on what characters are fleshed out!
  8. Sith I think are kewl: Caedus, Vader, Starkiller, Malgus, Bane, Sidious, Vosa (of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter), Revan, Yun (Of Jedi Knight 1). My favourite Sith, if I was forced to choose... Caedus, though Vader is a VERY close second. Bane comes in at 3rd, the rest are indistinct of order.
  9. Someone put that you can't use the dark side without falling to it, and quoted Yoda on the issue. Wrong. Case in point, Kyle Katarn, Jaden Korr, both make use of the dark side of the force (lightning, no less), and whilst they have indeed struggled with the dark side of the force, they have since become at peace with themselves. They are most definitely Jedi, not Sith. In terms of the topic at hand, however, my vote goes to Vader. The lore supports it. Revan wasn't particularly special in terms of power. Lots of important and impressive feats, sure. Actual force/saber ability? High-middling.
  10. Gonna go with the Fett's here as well - that is, the EU Fetts, not the ones that stood there waiting to get their head cut off while firing one bolt a minute at the oncoming Jedi, or the one who stood their with his back turned to a blind man whilst standing on the edge of a Sarlaac Pit waiting to be knocked in. No, I'm talking the bounty hunting, Jedi-slaying, missile-shooting, even lightsaber wielding Jango and Boba of the books/games. Most of the reasons people give in favour of the Preds winning are "they are stronger and would beat on them in hand to hand". For a starts - debatable considering skill, but I'll give you that. But mainly, and this folks, is key... WHY IN THE SEVEN HELLS WOULD JANGO OR BOBA GET INTO A FISTFIGHT WITH A PREDATOR? "Oh hey, I've got more weaponry than an army packed into this armour, so much so I spend more time deciding what I'm going to use to kill something than actually killing them. But hey, do you know what? That's just no fun! Instead, I'll ignore all this tech, waltz right up to this 8 foot tall behemoth of an alien and challenge it to some fisticuffs!" Irrelevant argument is irrelevant. As has been said before, regardless of how cool Preds are, the Fetts are smarter, have more weaponry, better tech, and have a wider scope of experience.
  11. The relative talent of the EU writers and that of Lucas is highly subjective - you cannot with any authority say that the EU writers are better than Lucas in all cases for all people. I've read a number of EU stories, from various Han Solo books, to NJO and the like. Many are good books. I honestly can't think of any that compare to the sci-fi/fantasy greats, like Jordan, Tolkien, Gemmel, Feist, Eddings, etc. Nor any of the new wave of greats, like Hobb, Cannavan, Sanderson, Weeks, etc. Sure, they are solid books, and enjoyable, but are distinctly 'middle-ground' when it comes to story-telling. All of this is from MY perspective, based on MY tastes. I've never been able to decide whether Lucas was a terrible writer or an absolute genius. After all, despite what seems to be incredibly wooden dialogue, and over-use of exposition in said dialogue, the films somehow -work-. They've been hugely successful. Final point, throwing my lot in with the pro-Lucas crowd here. It's his damn story, and he should tell it how he wants to. He has absolutely NO obligation to some arbitrary greater good or bigger picture. He doesn't owe the fans a damn thing - he created a story, of which we paid for the privilege of viewing, and that's as far as the transaction goes, folks. TL;DR - Self-style hardcore fans need to get their heads out of their arses, realise that they are not the only fans, nor the majority, realise that they don't have some special entitlement to how someone else writes their story, and that whilst their view on the EU stories may be that they are ZOMGBESTSTORIESEVA, that opinion does not necessarily reflect the opinion of others.
  12. Bouty Hunter 10/10 I'm a sucker for the independent, honourable warrior archetype, so loved this story. I loved the variation in targets, as well as the over arching thread. I absolutely loved the final confrontations, and the final speech I gave was epic. Mako was a great and interesting companion. Contrary to most, I also liked Torian. Blizz is absolutely adorable. Gault is cool, though I havent done much with him, but Im not a Skadge fan. Might pump the last two with companion gifts to see their stories anywya (as well as finish off the last 1k each for Mako/Torian, and the last 4k for Blizz). Im currently levelling an Inquisitor and its alright so far. Also got a SW and a JK alt that I'm going to be playing through (heard all good things about th SW). Eventually intend to play a smuggler and a trooper as well. Not fussed about a consular, and IAs dot entice me gameplay wise, but might play one just for the story!
