  1. I dunno - sounds to me like you're making it more difficult than it needs to be (My Opinion based on what you wrote) I use: 1 - 6 for main attacks F1 - F8 for alternate/AOE/close range/ heals - etc etc attacks - again with the most used or "high tension" (situation) keys closest to where my fingers normally are. All my bars/keys there are full - but those are the most used keys. W A S D are movement. Q and E are special attacks that are used a lot like interrupt on my Sorc. I put my hand so pinky of left hand is on TAB for targeting, and next three are1, 2, 3 - W is right below/to the right of 2, and S is right below that for movement - thumb is on spacebar. A light touch, (or a stiff mechanical keyboard ) is needed - I have a crappy MS keyboard, but it works. Mouse is used for most movement (including holding down both L/R for "GO" lol) and I use the middle mouse button for another attack - and it all works out. I COULD probably use "W" for another attack since I rarely use it for forward movement. I make sure to put "HoT" abilities like medpack on F8, and Bubble on F9 so they're easy to glance down and find quickly or go by feel if I need to - all I need to remember is where they approximately are. I also use the num pad for some things, the + is comp attack, - is target comp for heals, they are both just a mouse-hand thumb-slap away. BTW - I have no clue how to type blind and will probably never learn. I find that this setup works great - especially when, once you have all your abilities sorted, you figure out the best place to put everything so it's SO easy to find/use. It becomes a "key to the right ... key to the right ... key to the right.... etc etc - oops thumb-slap/up one" - rinse repeat thing because you're never really moving more than one key away from where you started, or used last.
  2. I just joined and they are a helpful, laid-back guild. Well - all except for those rep side ones Check us out!
  3. Odd, as I was two levels under and survived just fine. Rocketed up, bad guys died, took about 25% health damage - done.
  4. Google Knows, quick search turned up plenty of info...
  5. I would bet that they are, at least the mobs you describe are.
  6. The pistol I just got and checked out was Rated 50....
  7. I just wish the things would scale with you for awhile. I mean - they make it sound like it's this HUGE deal that you got them, then you find out they'll last for a level or two and that's it, and not even for the character you're on.... On top of that (off topic a bit) at the time you get them you have to go to fleet for your "Act One Reward" - which is only some xp and credits? Really? I mean it's not like I expected a parade or something, but you ship me to the lagfest just for that?? WHY?? I'm not even meeting anyone semi-important, much less getting a cinematic - just click, poof credits and xp - then done. Yay? ~ end rant.
  8. I used Khem on my Sorc all the way up to when I got Xalek. Between them I don't know who is "better" really. They seem about the same. I think Xalek has a few more abilities maybe, but it doesn't seem to really 'help' him - they seem more to make up for the fact he's in light armor rather than heavy. I've not used any of the others, Khem and I managed to stay underleveled by 3-4 levels all the way up - excepting class quests where we dropped to 2-3. Doing the same with Xalek and currently 48 on Ilum tearing through things with Class Quests done - so.... meh.
  9. While it is possible with a bare ship - go to the 'ship upgrades' vendor in the spaceport (look around you'll find them) and get the level one stuff. Makes it SO simple. Also - concentrate on the fighters, they do more damage to the shuttle than the rest do. I used guns + missiles on the frigate turrets, more because it was fun than out of necessity. But saving a couple missiles for those last couple of fighters is a good idea - you really don't need to hoard them - at least not on this mission.
  10. I just don't understand how people are screwing this up. Does no one READ anymore? I had 0 problems with this. *HINT* the jetpack button is next to your quest....
  11. No - nothing. I do get lag in fleet - at least I did before I stopped going there. Try Imp side - less of a problem Seriously - although I don't have a higher level character on rep side, so I'm not sure about the upper levels - no matter when I play there's at least 100 people on, up to close to 200 (not on fleet, on planet). Imp side - the lowest I've seen was 15-20'ish and the highest 60 or so. Come to the Dark Side ... we have cookies and shock collars
  12. I'm not having any trouble with my Sorc either - he's 47 ATM and looking at the final class quest. I think I'll get one more level before I tackle that, as experience has shown that the class quests are a bit harder than the normal ones. FWIW - I stay under leveled by 3-4 levels - except for class quests, there I go to 2 levels. Anything less is just too easy. I don't PvP so I can't comment on that. As for spec, I guess you'd call him a hybrid with more points in the Madness tree so far. I'll rework it when I have all my points, but this is working really well so far for me. Edit - I'll also chime in with the "play what you want to play" comments here. It's your game, your character, and your money (if you sub) so play what you like.
  13. Easily? I don't know - I didn't have any trouble. What level are you? I hear you should be level 20 as a Sorc - I don't remember what level I was but probably 17 or 18. I just sicced Khem on him, and burned him down. I was actually disappointed at how easy it was. If I remember right I didn't even have to heal Khem at all. BTW - for anyone thinking the same thing about the class quests for Inquis up to this point - that changes dramatically, especially if you like to stay underleveled 3-4 levels .
  14. LOL - yes. I wonder what images the ''Fanny Farmer Cookbook" raise.....
