Hah don't quite make the threshold. Just turned 37 recently.

Hey just returned and resubbed about a week ago. Mainly returned to finish up the story for KotFE and just play Star Wars. Anyways looking for an active guild that does various in game activities. I'm from Hawaii so I'm on late at night usually like 8-9pm PST or so. Pretty casual player, helpful and just likes swinging his lightsaber and/or shooting things. Got my DPS Jedi Knight, Gunslinger and Commando to 70 and am slowly working on my Sentinel now.

Okay so I need some quick advice and confrimation on gearing for lvl 55 PvP. So I am mainly a PvE player but want to venture into the PvP side of things every now and then. From what I have read so far on these forums is that going in with my 69/72 gear is absolutely undesired! Is that still true? I should be using gear from basic/daily comms until I can get my hands on Partisan armor but I should wait until I have full Partisan before switching because mixing and matching PvE and PvP armor is undesireable right? Upgrading relics should be first because except for the matrix cube they do not bolster well. Also, the jury is still out on second slot relic because it us unknown if it procs or not atm. MH/OH weapons should be Partisan even though it doesn't pass the eyeball test out of WZ. I know for ear and implant the 54s are BiS but long term should they fix this any insight in what I should get? Partisan or wait and see on how BW changes things? As of now when I join WZ I have 1400 exp and change and from reading threads here I am thoroughly gimping myself and team running in 69s...

Well I guess this will have to be put on hold with the delay do transfers. Feel free to list your guild if it sounds like a good match and I will check you out when they do enable the moves. Also, Ops do not have to be during the week. Weekend Op runs would also work just fine as my time on weekends are flexible.

Ah yes, left out the PST. Edited post thanks.

Well with server transfers coming tomorrow I will be looking to move my entire legacy over to the Harbinger. Main reason for moving is a better fit with time zone and play time. I can usually be on reliably during the work week (M-F) starting at about 9:00 pm PST (I get home earlier but I have a kid so dinner/homework etc you know). On the weekends it’s whenever really. I am interested in either joining a raid group that I can attend with regularity or a guild who does raids during the week that I can attend so I am not constantly sitting on station monitoring General chat (why isn’t there an Ops channel anyways) for a pick up group. I am also slowing developing a liking for PVP though this should be considered secondary, if your guild has an active PVP contingent all the better but not necessary. I do NOT have a lot of experience in HM TFB or SV unfortunately as finding pick up groups for these are hard to come by. I am fairly well versed in SM for both though both as a tank and DPS. I’ve done TC HM which I wouldn’t classify as easy because of the tight enrage window but it isn’t really hard either. EV and KP I’ve done on all settings and I do enjoy running these for both comms and just because at 55 they are so fun to just stomp through. EC I don’t have an abundance of experience because they don’t often pop up on PUGs… I mean why shout for EC HM when you can just do EV/KP for the same reward (comms). That said I would like to learn how to do EC on HM and beyond. I like the challenge that ops provide – my favorite fights right now are Operator IX and the puzzle boss on SV (Wealthy buyer). I’ve done the puzzle on EC SM once and that actually seemed fun too. So what I have to offer: Guardian 55 (Tank), Gunslinger 55 and Sentinel 55. Tank is my “main” but I like to play any of the three so whatever works. I have a Shadow tank at 40 (this one I am not liking but am still giving it a chance because I don’t have the entire skill tree yet) that I am lvling with my gf’s Commando. Also have a 41 Commando (dps) and this is the character that is making me enjoy PVP. I did PVP on my Guard and Sent to get their corresponding Conqueror’s relics and am working on my Valor standing on Gunslinger to get her Conqueror’s (currently has Partisan) but didn’t really get attached to PVP as much as I have on my Commando… Gunslinger is kinda fun though. Both my Commando and Shadow will get expressed to 55 once double xp weekends arrive! I know crafting isn’t really a big deal in SWTOR but I like it and have Artifice, Cybertech, Biochem and Armstech all at 450 along with their corresponding support skills. Idon’t really use them to make creds but more to just have pretty crystals and having armorings/hilts/barrels for when I lvl to cover what I can’t buy with comms. I also have a gf who plays. We would preferably want to be in the same guild but we don’t have to be in the same raid groups etc. She has a Sage 55 (Heals) and a 40 Commando (DPS). She can actually respec her Sage back and forth between heals and DPS since the gear choices are so similar in both specs. She has Synthweaving at 450 and I think is working on Armortech. We both take advice and criticism well but it needs to be communicated. A “You suck learn how to dps better” is not a form of communication that will make us better at our roles lol… explain to us maybe what we are doing wrong or inefficiently and we will try to get better. Tell us how you approach it and we will try to mimic and improve.* Oddly enough we also like helping other lowbies clear Heroics etc… the main constraint on that is the fact that I have to sit on station waiting for a PUG Ops group shout… if I would know I am doing Ops for the week more of my time could be spent helping lower lvl guildies clear content… I mean come on who doesn’t find it fun to return to Hoth or *gulp* Taris and stomping everything? So any guilds or raid groups that run at roughly 9:00 pm weekdays or whenever on weekends that could use a tank or dps?

Well that sounds kinda promising... thanks for the responses folks

So with the new server transfers announced I am seriously thinking of moving to the Harbinger. So before I break bank to move my legacy I figured I'd check to see if the grass is greener or not. So a couple things... I am currently on Jedi Covenant but my play times usually begin at about 9-10 pm PST on weekdays. Needless to say server population at that hour has begun a downward spiral making queing for FPs and/or finding Op groups problematic. So is the Harbinger still alive at that hour or is it also beginning to slow down? I've checked the guild recruitment forums and have seen a few late night Ops groups recruiting which gives me hope since there are no such postings on JC anywhere near that timeframe. Thanks for any info.... just want to check before I burn cartel coins on my legacy only to land in a similar situation.

Nothing huh... What about weekend focus ops groups?

Are there any late night Op groups out there? Republic side looking for runs starting at about 1am EST/10pm PST. Thanks

Need a bit of guidance. I just hit 45 and completed chapter 2 so I figured it would be a good time to do a complete gear check and get everything up to snuff. I'm a tank guardian and I always get the updated hilt as I lvl and try my best through commendations to keep my armoring not more than 2 levels behind. The problem I have now arrived at is with my mods. I have artifice at 400 so I can make my own enhancements but I am at a loss at what to do with my mod slots. As of right now I have mix and match of elusive mods varying from lvl 37-41 that I've managed to rip out of gear that dropped to me in FPs and I've stuck in deft mods everywhere else. My deft mods are 35-37 though because at the time I did not see a better alternative. I know the str and power will help me to generate threat in FPs and kill faster in quests but I am curious if I am doing it right... or if there is a "right" at all. Does what I have in the mod slot really matter before I hit 50? If so, which mods should I be putting in there and what would be the best way for me to obtain the mods? Also, I do know that there is a balance so to speak to be sought between defense/shield/absorb but every guide I've seen has been for end game. Should I even be concerned while leveling and FPing about trying to hit the balance? Have I been crippling myself for 40 levels or so by trying to get tank specific mods/enhancements? I've never really had an issue with constant wiping in FPs with my mix and match mods maybe I've been lucky and have had awesome healers but none have ever said that I require more healing than other tanks. Is it more efficient to stick in dps mods/enhancements to speed the killing of stuff while I lvl? I know once I hit end game I will need to optimize. Thanks
