  1. Ah yes the child card....full of IMHO too. Next your going to tell me the "you FEEL the changes are not to bad because you FEEL that healing is ok"? So basically ignore the dozens of threads on the PTS that showed the BH healing is down over 25% across the board and there was zero "under the hood" changes made to help balance it? ( like the promissed)
  2. Are you serious or just have your head stuck in the sand? I just unsubbed, so did our other BH healer and our sorc. Why play a game that blanket nerfs and entire class of character(healing) because of PvP whiners and the 1% NM raiding guilds? And yes we have tried the new changes on a HM and yes it is NOT fun to heal anymore. I don't know about you but I play games to have fun and unwind from a hard days work. Welcome to the new MMO e-sport.
  3. I have played WoW on and off since closed beta, I have played CoH for 7+ years. I have probably spent over $1000 on monthly fee's on both. The sad thing is, they could have had $500+ from me and people like me who play MMO's for long periods of time. All they got from me was 2 months and an unsub, GG Bioware..... Back to CoH where I actually feel heroic.
  4. And PvP was mention in your original post when? Unlike you and your kind I don't alway assume every thread is about PvE or expect people to automatically know thats what I am talking about.
  5. I wasn't sighing at the Sorc changes I was sighing at you and your uniformed statement. There has been many test on PTS with the new changes and most have stated the Sorc changes are not nearly as bad as mercs.   6. Ok here is a little story about my friend and his guild. I was over at his place on Saturday right as they were making their 5th attempt at HM SOA and trying to get past phase 2. I could see he was getting a little frustrated because they breezed through the previous 4 bosses in less than 60 minutes only to hit a wall with SOA. I then noticed that both his healers were BH and he said his regular Sorc healer was away so they were using an alt. He said they have never had these issues with phase 2 before and have even killed him the last 2 times (just) I basically told him there was now way in hell 2 BH can do this unless you are very lucky with the mind traps, flinging in air and lightning balls. You will spend most of you time overheating trying to top off all the lightning damage and sure enough even with SCC they were still having an impossible time , best they could do was 36%. I asked him if any alts were Sorcs and he said that he actually had a half Columi geared Sorc who also had some PvP gear. Try that! He then switched out to his sorc and made another attempt. Well let me tell you, they still didn’t kill him but because of the bubbles charging balls and AOE healing in the center they did get him passed phase 2 on every attempt after. Once they even got him to 5% before everyone called it. Even if sorcs can’t recover force like before they still have the bubbles and AOE that is pretty much essential in any over tuned content. Yet you nerfed BH’s who couldn’t even do SOA phase 2 together……unsubbed
  7. Seriously? Then maybe try saying that instead of demonstrating how much better you are than the OP. The OP makes a sarcastic post basically saying how he hates enrage timers and how they just barely survived it. The standard response would be yes they suck or no they make easy content harder. Your response was: This is basically nothing more than “you suck, we did it with companions”. Your statement has nothing to say about enrage timers pro or con or how to help him beat them. Basically it looks like you epeening on how much better you are than him. If thats not what you intended then fine, but your answer to me basically sums up your attitude.
  8. Ok I am not a huge math person but I crunched out some basic numbers based on a heavy armor Companion tank having 30% reduction and Xalek having 25%. Heavy has 12% def and Xalek has 24%. So with my crappy basic math it looks like Khem will mitigate 24 more damage per 1000 damage taken over Xalek. I think this is a good trade off for the increase in DPS. Heavy: 10x 100 damage 1000 =880 12% def -264 for 30% reduction =616 damage 246 of it = 40% shield reduced by 98 = 40% absorb =518 damage / 1000 (keep in mind the 40% shield /absorb is very generous since heavy companions do not have shield/absorb talents) Xalek: 10x 100 damage 1000 = 760 24% def -190 for 25% reduction =570 damage 142 of it =25% shield 28 reduced = 20% absorb =542 damage / 1000 I am not saying it is not a bug, it might been originally intended this way as a trade off and that is why no answer from the devs.
  9. But thats my point , don't you think 42% armor reduction, 22%+ def, 25% shield and 20% absorb on a well equiped 50 Xalek, might be the reason shield/sbsorb are not modifiable? The armor and defense are double what all other tank companions have. It would be seriously overpowered if you could modify his shield and absorb too.
  10. huh? My 50 Blizz and 41 Khem Val are both at 28% and 27% armor reduction, their forms do not give them any armor modifier. Login to the game and look at Khem Vals armor reduction, I think you are mistaken.
  11. Ok so he gets 25% shield and 20% absorb base that is not modified by gear. As I said earlier he also has double the defense of all other tank companions. Why would Bioware allow him to have a 22% + Defense and the same shield/absorb (40% range) as other tank companions? overpowered much? To me it looks like Bioware did this on purpse to balance the fact his defense is so much higher. IMHO
  12. But someone said previously in this thread it works its just the default value and won't modify when shield/absorb is added. Which is it?
  13. What is Xalek's base def 5% or 10%? If its 10% do you think maybe that is why his shield/absorb is at base? My tank companion at 50 in full purples is 27% reduction 12% def 41% Shield 38% Absorb If Xalek is 10% def, he would be? **% reduction 22% - 24% def 25% shield? 20% absorb? If above is correct I don't see an issue, he is still as viable as my tank that has half his def. I would say he is even better since Def works on everything.
  14. I would guess they will do a few more weeks of bug fixes then add a few healer changes (as per the QA) in early April. Test for a few more weeks then release.
