  1. Started patching at around 3:pm . . . still going. Went from 80 to 89% in the past 4 hours. Still hasn't ticked to 90%. Is this normal? And why?
  2. I always thought this lesson was learned the first time; but, apparently, no one watched it happen. Remember gear changes in BC (WoW, most MMO players have at least heard of it and the rest played it for at least a few years). Remember how p!ss@ed off you were when a patch came around and, after all your grinding and working, you could BUY better gear then you earned? Just curious why, after MONTHS of grinding out centurion / champion tokens, it was all taken away. Now the "Blue" PvP gear is better than the initial "Purple" (centurion PvP) gear that took some of us months to grind (months due to Imps constantly losing in WZs). And the "rewards" for trading in our champion and centurion marks . . . really, I mean, really? That's the best we get? It's not even close to the equivalent. Oh, and 600 expertise used to be the norm, now 800 is? Was getting 4 shot on my sorc in Champ / Cent gear last night. so I have to "buy" gear to replace the stuff I "earned". sounds an awful lot like WoW. Didn't Bioware read the WoW forums the first time this happened? /end rant.
  3. Venting: Multiple characters, multiple tries to find what I like. Main is a sorc. So on my BH Merc, fighting some jedi . . . get knocked back, 50% resolve, get stunned, 100% full resolve bar, get force choked, 100% still full resolve bar, get slowed, 100% full resolve bar. BUT, what happens when I try? Knock them back, 50% resolve, stun them, 100% resolve, they trinket, try knock back again . . . fails. Try stun again . . . fails. Just wondering why it's even there? If you can get chain stunned / cc'd . . . what does it really do?
  4. Sorry, bit of a rant here. And yes, I am qq'ing. At level 50 on my sorc, I average 6-8 losses for every 1 win. No, not part of a PvP guild and I am pugging / single queing. But recently, it takes me DAYS to complete the DAILY. The weekly? Heck, I've had it since LAST WEEK. I do my best, but given the massive loss to win ratio, gear is an issue. It's taken a few weeks but I do have at least 300 expertise (low, I know). So I help when and where I can and I usually end up fairly well with marks. It's becoming a gross imbalance. Republic is rap-1ng on our server. And yes, it's usually a pre-made. So I suggest 10 losses in a row counts as 1 win for the daily. Would also suggest that we have some serious gear rating / cross server Warzones so that the 1000 expertise pre-mades don't fight the brand new pugs with no expertise. But that would be logical and make sense.
  5. I'll take the nerf to healing . . . . . . only if they bump our damage specs and nerf the MASSIVE burst. If I crit heal for 3k it doesn't help when the person just RECEIVED a 6k crit. When you have classes that can do 2k damage / hit constantly, healing needs a buff.
  6. What World PvP are you talking about? Oh . . . the level 50 in full PvP gear that ganked my level 32 the other day . . . yeah, reward that. Or the gang of 50's that were on Quesh the other day wiping out level 38's . . . yeah, reward that. I think if you attack anyone 10 levels below you, much like WoW, you get no reward. Pick on someone your own size.
  7. You know what is happening. We all see it. It is the new "World of Stuncraft . . . Part Deux". Any character that can take more then half your life (trinket cooldown . . . . ha ha) while you are stunned bad. And the majority of time, it's more then one character attacking. So to go from 100-0 while not being able to fight back is wrong. Sooo . . . make stuns break at 50% damage and then you become immune to stuns from that same player. It will actually bring strategy into the game. Those level 10-15s with NO snares or roots or stuns will actually have a (small) chance against the PvP geared level 50 with 20 more abilities then they have. See . . . balance. else we just become the WoW 2 in the PvP realms and those with the strongest burst / stun combo always win.
  8. I believe they should offer free guild transfers to all those guilds that per-registered. This way, you could move some of those larger guilds to light servers. It would help especially before they get established and don't want to move. But this is kinda ridiculous. We have 20-25 "light" servers and some servers with over 1 hour que times. I got DC'd once and was over 1 hour (800) que time to get back in. To make matters worse I'm on the East Coast, so it's late already and I have to work tomorrow. I hope they get a grace period. As the game picks up members, this will get worse before it gets better.
  9. What doesn't make sense . . . It's midnight where I am, I just wanted to check some crafting, 20 min que. If that's what the que is on an EAST COAST server at off peak time, what will it be like after Dec 20th at full peak time? Close the full servers to new people.
  10. Just wanted peoples thoughts on ganking. By ganking I don't mean ambushing a character of similar level to you. I mean attacking someone over 10 levels below you because, well, not sure why people do, but just because. You know what I mean, that level 50 that one shots a level 25 because hey "it's PvP" (insert sarcasm here). Are people more of a kill-and-let-live type? Or are more people the type to camp a certain area and player till they get fed up and leave?
