  1. Hey, I'm just curious how people distribute their secondary stats (surge/alacrity/accuracy) in pvp gear? Is any accuracy needed? If not would you do an even split of 5 surge items/5 alacrity items? Would you go power or willpower augments, or are the differences pretty negligible? Thanks
  2. I couldn't agree more, i've tried to explain to guildies as well that the enhancements and mods in the comms gear are high endurance and are bad, but they just assume because it's 198 it must be better. It's why i hate the comms gear, the gear is ridiculously easy to get (cause ulti comms are obtained left right and center, which is a problem on its own. People getting comms for clearing content that is old and not even challenging) and the gear itself is bad, and people refuse to acknowledge it, and choose higher rating gear over gear with better stats.
  3. When are people going to realise that ultimate comms are essentially useless. The gear you get with them have both bad mods and enhancements. Run some SM Ravagers and ToS, get some set gear and augment that. It's much better than the 198 comms gear you'll get, and in most cases, even the lowest level set bonus armorings are better than the 198 armoring. It's pretty likely too that even the 186 crafted mods and enhancements are better than the 198, and definitely better than the 192 comms gear. Ultimate comms should only be awarded for SM level 60 ops, and level 60 HM FPs regardless, they shouldn't be freely awarded for pretty much anything so that people can do little work to gear up.
  4. How many people will actually know each individual who has exploited though? And still a one day ban isn't even noticeable, whereas losing all the gear would just reinforce that exploiting in the future would be a waste of time. As for not knowing whether or not they're removing gear, i know players that exploited that have had their schematics removed but not gear, so unless the punishments are being done in phases, they aren't removing the gear.
  5. A one day ban does nothing to deter future exploits....removal of the gear obtained would have much more of an impact than a ban. Everyone who did the exploit is now commenting on how worth it was to exploit for top end gear only for a one day ban punishment. Again you've failed at taking the appropriate actions.
  6. Why is it that people only ever run things for comms? The comms gear is horrible, and running old content for comms to gear up for current content is cheap and not earned. Why don't people just complete the current operations and gear up that way?. If it's encouraged to run ops for comms, then they should also make 8m runs give exactly the same amount of comms as 16 mans.
  7. The conquest point bonus should be removed to stop people from decorating like this, don't give them extra incentive to put no effort into decorating.
  8. Strongholds should be personal fortresses, decorated as we see fit as much or as little as possible, and that shouldn't hurt our ability to participate in CQ with our guilds. As it stands now its very cheap / sleazy IMO forcing people to spend all their creds on the cheapest deco available and throwing it around with no rhyme or reason. I think you worded it better than i did =) This is exactly how i feel. Guildies and others are just converting larger hooks into the small green hooks, placing as many chairs and trophies as they can, and all for a stronghold completion bonus that shouldn't be there in the first place.
  9. People referring to decorating all of the hooks just mean completing the hook limit.
  10. This is just me, but i feel as though my Coruscant SH is complete at 60% - i don't want to add anything extra or take anything out. My point is, why should i be penalized for not wanting to utilize every hook available? Why are personal strongholds and conquest connected in any way? They shouldn't be related at all.
  11. I don't think prestige is based on how unique an item is or how rare it is. The first time you obtain a decoration, it gives you 100 prestige, and any additional identical decoration gives you an extra 2 prestige. So i assume that if you place a light in your stronghold, you will get 100 prestige, and any additional placement of the same item gives you an extra 2 prestige. Not 100% sure if this is exactly how it works but this is how it works with collection of decorations.
  12. This is just my personal opinion, but i don't like the idea of personal stronghold completion giving bonuses to conquest points. The two should be completely unrelated, and the fact that you need 100% completion in each of the strongholds to achieve a maximum bonus to conquest points essentially forces people to buy and rush to completion the strongholds in order to be more competitive in Conquest. Personal strongholds should be exactly that, personal, and of course cater to the occasional visitor to show off the place. People should be able to complete their stronghold at their own pace, and have it as cluttered or uncluttered as they want. They shouldn't feel pressured to rush it to completion like a lot of people have using only the basic decorations just to get a bonus to conquest to get that extra advantage - and people who think their stronghold is finished at 60% completion shouldn't be penalized for wanting it to look how they want it to.
  13. The problem with the current system is, they're practically forcing you to completely stuff your stronghold with trash just to get the conquest bonus. And if you're wanting to have a decent chance at conquest, you're forced to buy and complete all the strongholds for the bonus. The two shouldn't be related at all imo, people should be able to decorate the stronghold how they want and at their own pace, without the feeling of competition or a need to complete it for the conquest bonus.
  14. We've had some things in addition to these happen to us while attempting to kill commanders. 1. The classic "continue to taunt off the group killing the commander in an attempt to reset it" 2. A guild with both mirror imp/pub guilds - they use the guild of opposite faction to harass the group killing the commander by pulling guards into them/healing the commander and just attacking the players directly. They do this with a relatively small group while they're same-faction guild is lying in wait to pick up the commander if they succeed in wiping the group or they use the taunting to reset the commander and then take him. To see a republic guild fighting another republic guild for a commander kill in this manner is incredibly disgusting and disappointing, and at the very least if you're going to be jerks like that or stoop to that level, the least you could do is merge groups and both get a chance at the loot.
  15. For those saying it isn't an exploit, fair enough it may not be. But you could look at it from the viewpoint that stealth classes gain a significant advantage here/larger guilds continue to reap even greater benefits with little effort. Two weeks in and both weeks conquest has felt like there is little to no competition, with larger guilds gaining well into the millions worth of points within a day or so and everyone else falling incredibly behind without a chance in hell. This week I've also seen the top guilds posting in fleet chat asking other guilds to merge with them for the title and then leaving afterward, again making it a completely one sided event without competition. Perhaps there could be a point scaling bonus implemented, where guilds with say 1-10 members online at the time get a 20% increase bonus to conquest points, 10-15 people get a 5-10% bonus and anywhere above that gets no bonus. It may not work but it's just a suggestion.
