  1. Look what you just wrote. Two "good dps" need 2 to 3 rotations to bring down a healer. If there is a lag, or if the healer gets a single heal, your take on burning DPS down goes out the window. In your scenario it's a 2 v 1, and if the 1 gets intermitant heals, then there is no chance. 2 good dps, can go at 1 healer, the healer gets heals from another healer who is dps-ing one of the two attackers. That attacker is going to drop before either healer is...and that's what happens. See, in your example alone, the need to drop that healer makes it a 6 v 7 in favor of the healer's team. Now, that's accepable if that healer drops fast...but that healer doesn't. That healer is going to go into "keep my own *** alive" mode while receiving a heal or two from one or two more healers. Meanwhile, the two attackers are being burned down by the healer's team. The attackers beating on the healer in this scenario cannot attack anyone else because then the healer will not drop for certain. I used to play a Pally and a Priest in WOW and you have to look at it like this, as a healer you're going to throw out a heal or two, then you go full tank mode (in PvP, healers are the tanks). In a coordinated group, your group is going to be ready for the attack on the healer, and due to the game mechanics, it's easier for the healer's group to do their job then it is for the attackers (if it's a coordinated group). So in any situation when three healers can tank 3/4 of the other team...then you have a problem. I noticed that you did say that some healers are a little over-tuned right now, well, that little bit makes all the difference. Anyhow, I don't expect BW to do much about it, Eric whatever his name is has shown to be very bad at his job. Granted he's not as **** for brains as Ghostcrawler (WoW...I've met the dude, and he is a moron. Very slow thinker, very short-sighted person). My goal here isn't to sob all over the place over PvP, just acknowledge a situation and move on (I just don't like people calling it like it's not).
  2. So not since launch have I had this problem in a WZ where I press a key, I watch the GCD flow across all of my buttons (preventing me from pressing anything else), and when the GCD is up the button I pressed to begin with never executed the respective ability. I press an ability button, get the GCD, and no ability. Sure, I can press the button again, but I've lost the time: time taken to press the ability+GCD = loss of valuable time during PvP. This issue has been conintuous and I know it isn't client side, it has been happening since 2.0. Is anyone else having this issue?
  3. So, how are people finding DF/Leth at 55? I've been levelling up my GS and SS is getting pretty boring, not to mention that any team with half a brain is going to have stealthies on healers and Slingers/Snipers. Do you find DF/Lethality spec effective? I've been using it sub-55 and it's been great for stressing the heck out of healers and ranged (I LOS U). Feedback is appreciated.
  4. How does that compound the problem?! The fact that people don't play together IS THE PROBLEM. This is an MMO...*sigh*...a bit of history... MMOs have typically required people to talk to one another, build relationships, etc. These relationships helped to achieve common PvE goals, develop in-game markets, and successfully PvP. What we are seeing now in MMOs is the equivalent of modern teen dating. People with all the reasons in the world to interact with one another on multiple levels, instead they stand very close, while looking deeply into their respective smart-phones. THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THIS GAME. Make a guild, make a friend, make a friend in a guild with a common PvP interest. Jeez man...have people ever played TF2, Unreal Tournament, Half-Life? Gotta coordinate. There are no rambos...there are teammates.
  5. The only thing that they are working is the next Cartel Market item that will have players spending cash. Bioware was made aware on the PTS several times that 2.0 had significant problems when it came to PvP. Bioware chose to DELETE those threads and act as if all was well. This is why so many people where pissed off when Eric came to the forums and was all "...thanks for pointing that out! We didn't know. We'll take a look." in response to complaints regarding problems he was already aware of and had already responded to on the PTS forum. PvP is such a low priority it's insane. They only thing that they are concerned with is making it as accessible as possible to aid retention and new players. Balance and competent design will come later, if there is a later.
  6. WoW! You mean do dailies as part of the levelling because there's not enough side quests and story to get to 55? LOL....this xpac was a tidal breath.
  7. Check the sig. They don't care. The majority of players are sub 55. It's not a priority. Think of ANY MMO you've ever played before. Was there a massive game breaking exploit? At some time or another, sure. Were the players who took part in it penalized (ban, temp-ban, loss of items, gear, or money)? You bet they were. Has BW EVER penalized players for exploiting the HE !1 out of this game? Not a single one. Go back to Illum on 01/17/12. Do you know how many people made level 100 valor that day?
  8. ...that there was a player named Gydieon on PoT5 that was using a teleport hack or anything. I'm just saying that someone was using a teleport hack. You know it's bad when even your own team is asking you to stop. Now, come on Bioware forum moderator...make my signature as right as it is. I still know of hackers that you never banned. Now I'm not saying that there was ever a player named Chisiler who put up videos of himself hacking in Huttball on youtube...but...well, you know the rest. He was never banned....because BW doesn't care. See the sig. It's been there since June 2011 in one form or another.
  9. You're thinking of the Focus spec.
  10. See, but that's just what has had so many people upset this last week. Sure all of the PvP gear broke, but who cares, there's a new xpac and with it a higher tier of gear...and new carrot to chase. However, what did happen was that players (new, returning, and continuous alike) had a chance to strip all barriers, all advantages and disadvantages alike; simply go at PvP. What happened was that people who have ran the hamster wheel, received their carrot (gear) found out that for all of their effort, for all of their time spent PvPing...they really weren't very good. What we saw were experienced level 50 PvPers, taking advantage of the naked bug and PvE stat bonuses (due to the bugged bolster mechanic) fighting in WZs and getting their butts handed to them by level 30 something players. Even experienced PvPers who weren't 55 yet (between 50 and 54) were getting destroyed by players who were in their 30s and 40s. Why was this possible? Because for all of their boasting, the seasoned PvPers actually sucked at PvP. Surely this wasn't true for all of the seasoned PvPers, but for a vast number of these players it was. Now lets take a look at what you said. Something about skilled PvPers taking every advantage (gear/pots, etc.). Well, that's just it isn't it. You're definition of a skilled player is someone who looks to get an edge through external means. Others would disagree and say that ALL things being equal, the player that continously WINS is the more skilled player. Right there with that disagreement is where the hang-up is, it's assumed that players that constantly win get the best gear and that gear is a symbol of their success. It isn't. Gear in this game has only one gate and that gate is time invested, not success. SWTOR PvP is not like the early itterations of WoW Arenas where you actually had to WIN to get better gear. It's not like LoL, or Starcraft where you had to WIN to receive status in world competition (surely you had to put in the time, but you also had to win...putting in the time just supported one's learning curve). I see where you mentioned that "... is hard to get that gear without acquiring skill along the way." and I understand that. However, it is an assumption that as of VERY recently has been proven false. PvP vets have been getting destroyed by lower level players (new players/re-rolls/alts) quite often. Factoring into all of their losses is complacency. They have had really good gear for a long time and have had plenty of noobs to beat up. Well, you don't get better and ANYTHING when you have people who aren't as good as you are to play against, you typically get worse. This is what has happened to many players. So, should you feel bad about squashing a fresh 55? Not at all, it comes with the territory and the way the game is designed. What you should do is question your success. Sure, the new guy was easy, how are you doing against someone else with equal gear? How do you know whether or not you both suck? You have no way of figuring it out until the next xpac and the next levelling of the playing field. So to take anything away from this remember that unless you and another player are on equal footing, you'll never know how skilled you are other than to say that "When all things were equal I could/couldn't beat that guy that time." Most geared PvPers over the last week or so have found themselves saying couldn't. Which tells you how worthwhile their time in the hamster wheel has been.

Okay...my point was, since when do commandos have more CCs than Sages.

Really?! What class are you? Really, I would like to know. Ty.

    Skill > All in 2.0

Yeah, you lost all credibilty right there. Really, you wrote that. That was something that you wrote with full confidence that it was correct. You may have just said "Thyroid grass happy bicycle banana smash!" because it would have made as much F-ing sense.

    Skill > All in 2.0

Wrong, try again. See, you made an assumption and you're wrong. As for the second paragraph, you lose all credibility when you say 2-3 hits. You're full of crap. Where's the satisfaction? In winning, winning because you earned it, not winning because you have a gear crutch (see it's my acknowledgement of this that makes you think I give a crap about the gear, I don't.). So, if lets you take on a 2 v1 situation...and you win. Why did you win? Was it because of gear or because the two fools you clowned didn't know what they were doing? Were they a lower level? Did they lose because they didn't optimize said gear? Lots of questions. Same scenario, only with bolster in effect and all parties are partially naked, and wearing PvE pieces. All stats are within 50 of one another (give or take another 50). You win again in this case (the current situation the game is in right now). Did you win due to gear? No. Did you win because you're a much higher level? Possibly. Did you win because the two you fought didn't know what they were doing (they sucked). Again, possibly. Now lets look at Scenario 2 all over again, only the two you beat each had 10 or more levels on you. Did you win because of gear? No. Did you win because you were a higher level and had more available skills? No. Did you win because they sucked? Probably. Did you win because you are really good? Probably. See what I am getting at here? I'm liking the current scenario because it's one of the few situations in ANY MMO in ANY GAME where you can play against someone else and be on completely level footing. It really is Player versus Player. That's what I am liking about it. It's "Who can make a better go at a fight with their respective class". Am I all for gear?! Sure! Give the best PvPers the best gear, but narrow the stat disparity. Or, give everyone F-ing retarded looking gear and give the best PvPers (or the ones who run the hamster wheel the longest) the COOLEST looking gear. OOORRRR....keep it how it was. I don't give a rat's *****. I am appreciating what I'm doing NOW... ...and that is seeing what everyone REALLY has in the tank. When it's equal stats, you (the greater you) and me, who is better at what they do in the WZ? There's a lot to be said for that. Back to your 1 and 2 shotting people. I'm sure that's happening, but you and I both know that the people that are being 2-shot are all of the idiots that don't know that their PvP gear can hurt their stats in WZs now...and that's it. If anything you should be pissed that the new PvP gear looks retarded.

Everybody look out! We have a bad @ss here!! You're an assuming and arrogant. How about you search my posts and look for those complaints, you won't find them. See, your arguement is based on an idea that you made up in your head, conviced yourself that I was who you imagined me to be, then you came and LOL...tried to be a tough guy on a forum?! LOOK OUT ER'BODY! That's the difference between SWTOR and WoW...in WoW, you AT LEAST had to win to max out. Here, you just run in a hamster wheel and get your gear...then google to figure out what augments you need to fit. ...man, you are really proud of how you have made that wheel spin. Too bad you didn't learn to fight on your way to get that gear.
