I add those types of tanks to my ignore list, i don't care if there is a tank shortage, I am willing to wait a little longer in the Q in order to not have to group with people who are not willing to learn how to play their class.

I've never had anyone try to make me conform to their way of doing something. However I do find that there is an increasing amount of people who have no clue about even the basics of gameplay. If the other members of my groups seems like they know what they are doing I usually say nothing. But I frequently find myself explaining every fight and tactics that should be obvious. Simple things like move away from targets under you. And don't stand in front of the boss because he may have a frontal cleave or cone ae. When I am healing, my biggest pet peeve is when the dps in a group attack strong or elite mobs without the tank first having agro on them. My opinion is that DPS should be killing off any weak targets first and letting the tank work on getting agro from everything. Dps can usually kill off weak targets with 1-3 attacks while not taking any significant damage. And this is what I always do when I am DPSing. When tanking, I know the best way to take on most encounters and as long as the dps are doing what they are supposed to, and the healer is somewhat confident, there is usually no problems. My friend brought up a good point too. It seems like nobody knows how to interrupt mobs anymore. Every class in the game has at least one interrupt but nobody ever uses them. That and it seems like at least one person in every group doesn't understand their characters enough to know they are using an ability that is breaking the CC's. Or they are just dumb and are breaking the CC's on purpose. Hey look, that mob has a shield icon above his head and he looks incapacitated, I should attack it.......

I don't think you realize how it works, It it used outside of global cool down. Which means you can fire it off while other abilities are on global cooldown. So saying that you have other things to do doesn't make sense. Its also a free attack that doesn't use ammo.

It will run, but horribly. The graphics card is the downfall. Its not that hard to get a notebook with similar specs but with a dedicated graphics card. Look around a little bit more before you buy.

I have to agree a little bit. They try to make it like the 500 CC a month makes up for it, but it really doesn't. They should get rid of the free CC for subscribers and just give us full access to everything. And they should let us buy items from the Cartel market with in game credits. It seemed at first that they were following the same free to play model as LOTRO when they started this but they have really screwed it up at this point. Looking at the message boards you can see that a large part of the player base does not like the way they are doing it.

Why do I get forced to check my email and enter a one time password every other time I log in? This is really annoying. And really unnecessary. Is there some way to turn this off?

I just wanted to say how good of a job the DEV's are doing with this game. I am sure you all did not want to have to make the game free to play, but the way you are doing it is a good format. The Lord of the Rings online did the same thing and they have continued to have success and be able to keep their game going. It is unfortunate that there are not as many people playing this game as we would all like. But maybe going ftp will help. You guys are releasing substantial game content on a much faster pace that I would have thought, and faster then most other games do. The only thing that is still a downer for me is the lack of a good space combat game. I hope that you guys are working on something similar to the space combat that SWG did. Even if I have to wait another year, I hope that it is at least in the works for future expansions. Don't let the Haters get you down, and keep up the good work.

Gambling yes, Gambling for monetary increase, no. So not illegal as you would be trying to make it seem. Stepping out the door every day in hopes that a plane doesn't crash on your head is gambling too. You should just stay home if you don't like to gamble.

I agree, LOTRO did a good job with their F2P model and this looks very similar. I think it will bring more people to the game, and if they find they enjoy it enough the new people will probably start subbing. This is all good for the game and its longevity.

What do you mean? Did you not already get a special box full of crap with your collectors edition? Like a statue and a book or something? Don't you already get access to some special vendor on your fleet? What else do you think you are entitled to? You have already gotten what you paid for. If you want more, you have to pay more just like everyone else.

I've never had any problems with my companions. My current main is a level 50 scoundrel healer spec and I have used both Corso and Bowdaar as tanks while leveling up and now at level 50, they both do fine. I can solo all of the Level 50 Heroic 2+ dailies with them accept for darkness on ilum(the one group with the elite who heals is too tough). I also frequently do the Heroic 4 in the black hole with me healing, my companion tanking and one or two dps players along to help out. I also have a mid 30's commando played as both heal spec and dps spec that I have used both M4 and Tanno Vik with no problems as well. Gear is important, but not everything, make sure you don't rely on them too much, keep them healed and you will be fine. You have to keep a balance between healing them and helping them dps. And make sure you keep their guard stance on.

SWTOR is more like WOW 1.2, were as WOW is currently at 2.0 SWTOR has a lot of features that WOW didn't have at 1.0. Most people like yoruself didn't play wow when it first came out and so don't realize that WOW did not have cross server group finder, cross server warzones, dual spec, rated warzones, guild levels, and achievements, until more recently. WOW was at 1.0 for quite a while. SWTOR is doing fine and they are progressing at a normal speed for adding these things that people want. The problem is that we live in a "I WANT IT NOW" world and people do not have the patience that they should for games like this. It will all come in time and those of us who are willing to wait for it will be the ones to enjoy the game for years to come.
