For the culmination of what I found to be a really engaging story it was a disappointing ending that flew in the face of the dialog choices they were giving me. Here's how I'd fix it in order of the best option: 1.) Allow my character to abstain from the throne. Give the option where I don't have to be ruler which goes along with the dialog options the game gave me to say like 5-10 times it felt like. OR 2.) Remove the multiple dialog options for your character to say they don't want to rule so that actually taking the throne doesn't fly in the face of your dialog options. OR 3.) Write an actual compelling ending that isn't a McGuffin. It's so lazy.

The sit part I was talking about was when you first arrive at the throne before the electricity part you just sit down with no choice. I actually wrote this post prior to defeating The Emperor. My character simply would not have sat down at all. This is my first time playing this content. I quit in 2012, came back for like a week in 2013 and just started playing again. I liked it enough to sub. I really enjoyed myself. This particular thing was haphazardly done though. They gave me MULTIPLE dialog options to Val where I said I did NOT want the throne. For my character to just sit down without a choice kinda ruined the end for me.

I have really enjoyed everything about all these chapters, storywise. It's all well done. My dialog choices up until now have ALL WITHOUT FAIL been that I don't want the throne. I've literally said it 6-810-12 times. I don't know how many but it's been a bunch, so to NOT get the option to NOT sit on it ran so absolutely against anything I wanted to do as to completely go against your own story. It kinda ruins the whole thing. My character, from the choices THE WRITING TEAM gave her was ALWAYS UNEQUIVOCALLY, "I don't want the throne" so for her to sit on it without the option to reject it like Galadriel rejecting the ring is like if Mrs. Failed Sheev Clone Jr. and Mr. Failed Sheev CLone Jr. decided to leave their most precious girl with a junk trader named Unkar Plutt in what amounts to basically indentured servitude to keep her safe. The discerning viewer quickly realizes that the writers didn't end with the story they started with and had a bunch of continuity errors. Also, the loot and XP game in this was DEPLORABLE. I'm hard pressed to think of an MMO that has worse loot. A cash shop is supposed to pay the bills not supplant the actual fun of getting drops in an MMO. On top of it you have what is in essence a mandatory sub and a cash shop. You give me the option to REITERATE OVER AND OVER AND OVER THAT I DON'T WANT THE THRONE AND THEN YOU FORCE MY CHARACTER TO SIT ON IT? It's doubly awful because I HONESTLY ENJOYED MYSELF UP TO THAT POINT. The character development was amazing. I ADORED that you guys swung for the fences with changing the companions etc. It was bold. So disappointed you didn't follow through on the decision to NOT SIT ON THE THRONE though. You should at the very least REMOVE that option from the game. It flies in the face of prior choices and autonomy of the player and the story that you created.

I just came back last week for the first time since 2013. I thought I'd check it out for old time's sake, play for 15 minutes and that would be that and I ended up loving it and re-subbing for at least a month. There's zero reason to delete accounts ever.

this is really funny considering it's star wars, bioware, and ea. Standing STone Games who are in charge of Lord of the Rings Online and it's a small potatoes studio upgraded their character models a few years ago and you have the option of keeping the old one. instead of laughing you should be proactively asking them to add it. bless your heart though for adding so much to the discussion. be well, friend.

Hey all. This is my first time playing since 2013! I can't believe I created my forum account back in October of 2008! Wow! I'll be quite frank in this thread. I came back out of morbid curiosity due to the launch on Steam after not really thinking about this game since I left. I was floored that I enjoyed myself so immensely upon my return. So much so I started subscribing again and purchased a new race! I'm having a blast. The thing I'd really love to see first would be an HD Texture Pack for the characters followed by an HD Texture Pack for the game. This game still plays wonderfully but is looking a little long in the tooth and I think a new coat of paint would do it some good. Looking forward to playing more!

I really wish there would be a "Silver TIer" for f2p for people that paid for the game and subbed at least a month. Throw these people a bone. BW, you could at least get rid of the credit cap and inventory/storage caps for these people. There are a lot of mmo's that have done this. You guys need some good will toward the people that supported you financially for this whole time. I just unsubbed and won't be paying a cent more into the game until I see what the actual f2p specs are. I just don't feel I am getting $15 a month worth of content anymore. With the lack of announcement regarding HK-51 as well as to whether he is free or going to cost something it also leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'll be back when you start letting us know what is actually going on in the future with your actions. I am tired of empty words.

Totally agree with this. It's too bad really. If you announce something to your subscribers before a f2p announcement and then wait to see if you may want to release it as something of a cash shop item, you are gonna tick people offf. Loved the game. I unsubbed though. I will still peruse the forums and will sub again once I see the subbers saying OMG!!!! Thanks so much!!! THis game is so great now!!!. Until that happens, or until there is enough new content to keep me going on all my level 50's with new content for over a month, I am not subbing again. HK-51 should be given to people who had a sub before f2p was announced as a gift for loyal customers. Just my opinion.

It comes down to customization and the lack of it in this game. It's not fun moving mods that cost more than the armor you are putting it on. Wrap your head around this BW: I spend more money transferring mods on my armor than the actual armor itself. I can't dye it the color I want, If I am dark jedi or light sith, I can NOT wear the version that would probably match my affiliation to The Force because it is locked to faction. My Twi'lek can't wear hoods if she wants, and it used to be that if I didn't want to wear one I could get stuck with one. All characters are stuck with cloaks and that TERRRIBLE huge butt thing is still around. The preview window is a joke. Whatevs, I will stop now.

Gear is the fundamental disconnect between PvP and PvE in this game because they want you to play multiple toons in PvE, but in PvP they don't. I am not saying they don't want you to grind valor in PvP. They do, but you have to grind each and every character. I like games like Guild Wars 2 where you can jump in from level 1 and the curve isn't as high as it is in TOR once you hit level cap. For me, they needed to get rid of gear being the drive behind PvP. Just let us fight and make interesting battlefields for us to fight in. Gear grind is so 2006 and I am over it.

i'd LOVE to echo this sentiment. All of my guildies who are still playing and I were talking about this on TS tonight. Where is the Pazaak? Where is the swoop/pod racing? Dejarik[sic?]? Sabaac? Why don't all the games work in the casino on Nar Shaddaa? Could you imagine how packed that thing would be all the time with players? You can't just put a band on a stage in front of a Hutt statue and think people will hang out somewhere. GIve the people something to do that is purely recreational. BW has said since release that they are working on that type of stuff. At this point I think they are just keeping it for when it goes f2p so they can charge people a la carte for it.

My apologies on saying that. Now read it again as if I am speaking on only my behalf and tell me your opinion. To another poster, I am not asking for everything to be given me in the f2p model. I am asking for the things I purchased with credits I earned in game, not to be locked if I go f2p. If I paid 5 mil for a HTN on my ship, I should still have access to it, or I should get the credits back. It's not hard to grasp, nor is it outlandish to expect it to be that way.

I totally agree. I just think they should know that people want to know exactly how they are handling it before it happens. Of course they will wait til the last minute. It's par for the course with BW and this game. I have been a member of the community here since 2008, and I have always defended them, but this really is the last straw for me. The information from them has come out at a dribble, even the Legacy perk prices are kept all hush hush til release or you have to glean info from a fan site. I am just tired of the horrible communication from the CR team. It's time for change for me if it doesn't happen. There are just too many good games out there for me to continue wasting my time with this one if the CR team can't start giving us info on the product we pay for in a timely fashion.

It's really quite simple: The community wants a list of precisely what it is we are losing if we stop subbing and enjoy the f2p model. I understand there is a credit cap. We want to know what it is. I understand there is a storage cap. We want to know how many panes of storage we get and if we don't get to keep the ones we have bought with our credits, then we want a refund on our credits. So again, please give us a list of exactly what we can expect before the change happens. As your paying customers we deserve to be informed of the changes before they occur. If that doesn't happen, I will just chalk it up to the myriad other communication issues that have occurred over the course of the last several months since launch and I will have to call it a day with my subscription. I don't think it's fair for you to ask for my $15 a month, tell me the business model is changing and not provide a COMPLETE list of what is changing.
