  1. Hi I'm sure I'm missing something so advice would be nice. I'm now level 60. So in level 60 group finder I am locked into: 1 SM operation (which gives ultimates) - good 4 lvl 60 HM flashpoints (which gives elites) 2 tacticals (some elites) My problem is with flashpoints. Since I don't yet have 186+ average gear I can not really do those lvl 60 HM flashpoints, yet I can not enter any of the old lvl 55-59 flashpoints. In fact it seems like all the old operations are also locked out now. Is all that content now obsolete? I'm unsure how exactly I am to gear up now as it seem the flashpoints that I *can* do with my current gear I am not allowed to do because of my lvl 60 status? Even though I'm level 60 I am not that familiar with all the end-game content in this game so I would actually rather have liked to do the old flashpoints and operations still. Somehow it doesn't seem so great that once you reach lvl 60 you are now limited to 4 flashpoints and 2 operations? Like I said I'm sure I'm missing something or not understanding something correctly, so please let me know what I'm missing.
  2. Firstly if I ignore somebody I would like them to be ignored across ALL my characters. Or at the very least an options to "sync" ignore lists across your characters. Secondly if I ignore somebody there should be at least the option to ignore ALL their characters. This can be hidden, as in I don't have to see the names of their other characters. But the functionality is required. While you implementing this, also it would be nice to be able to sync friend lists across characters.
  3. Hi there I know most of the stuff in here is about HM and NM ect. However hammer station is the first fp you get at level 15. However I find it quite hard at level 15/16 it seems and was wondering if I'm missing something? Once you have lvl 1 or 2 lvl 18's in the group it becomes a lot easier normally. But when the whole group is 15/16/17 its quite difficult it seems. The first part which usually gets me is that mining laser robot. The thing is those de buffs the laser stacks, once that reaches 8+ it is likely to kill the tank. And at that level you don't have: 1. no way to "cleanse" that I'm aware off? 2. tank has very limited ability to actually deal with this considering the length of the fight. 2.1 if you are shadow/sin tank you have nothing really... (the regen on combat stance is way to slow to have any impact against that laser) 3. at this level the healer usually have a very hard time keeping up with healing. I found 2 ways to get through this kinda: 1. if you have 2 "tanks" you can swap tanking at the right time and prevent the debuff to stack to high, but this is rather difficult. 1.1 a guard on the primary tank can give 5% additional defence but won't make that big a difference. 2. if you have off-healers this can usually make up the difference. (most effective way I've seen yet but its not guaranteed you have somebody that can off-heal) 3. in theory a sage/sorc with bubbles can use the bubbles to help with the spikey damage a lot, but the other healers don't have this ability. 4. if none of the above works the fight is close enough for the tank to rejoin the fight after dying perhaps The final battle is usually a lot easier but at lvl 15/16 the healer usually runs out before the fight is done. Which can cause a wipe quite easily. But normally if nothing seriously goes wrong it's much more do-able than the robot. Now eventually its do-able, but it feels like either I'm missing something. Or this FP is spanning to wide a level range perhaps? being to difficult for lvl 15 and to easy at lvl 19? Or at least this FP is not actually supposed to be done with a lvl 15/16 tank?
  4. There are a few mmo's that have this "cut-throat" idea: eve-online darkfall? is the 2 I'm aware off. Swtor is however not setup for this kind of thing. The question is: if you loose all your gear what then? Currently in swtor in order to get good pvp gear will require a large amount of grinding I believe? So you grinded 20? hours for gear and then loose it? Does the game expect you to redo that grinding? Also the item-bound system doesn't support giving dropped items to other players. On the other hand if you are able to somehow defeat somebody with top-level gear without it then everyone will be running around naked most likely. Besides I do not think the combat model in swtor is correctly setup for this kind of play. You will need more ways to "escape" if you get in trouble. You also have the problem that 90% of the players will probably not want to engage in something where they can loose their shiny gear. And 9% of the other 10% will probably only engage in this kind of pvp if they have 4-to-1 odds in their favour. So I'm not so sure the result will really be as "exciting" as you expect. If you want a cut-throat pvp experience, perhaps your best option is to go to an mmo that supports this
  5. But doesn't this just open the door to the ARPG style of difficulty? normal/hell/nightmare/inferno ? At the moment you can experience the content again by just creating a new character. I might be wrong but I don't think most people would want to do this. Rather you would make a different character to experience a slightly different story. There are already 8 different story lines you can play.. which should be kind of enough to not need this feature? If you just run through the story again with your lvl 55 character what would be the point? Most people skipped all cut scenes the first time around already... The only part of your post that makes sense is "more of a challenge" but I suppose that is what the higher end end-game stuff is for? This would also spread out the lvl 55 population over more worlds, making it even harder to accomplish end-game group activities. All in all I would say this wouldn't really work. (imho) Or at least I think there are better things to do with development time But I suppose each is allowed his own ideas.
  6. 1) Guild advertisement boards at fleet. With a proper "application" system in place. 2) Ability to copy short-cut key configuration to other characters/players like the interface xml file. 3) Easier way to get a new chat box for a "whisper" conversation. Perhaps getting chat tabs for group and guild can be slightly easier as well. 4) Upgrade the GTN interface please 4.1) a "similar" item search option would be very nice for selling things. 4.2) listing items for longer than 2 days please. 5) Ability to invite "friends" onto your space ship. 5.1) after this some customizability options for space ships interior would really please the RP crowd I think. 6) warning for entering heroic area/mission if not in a group below lvl 20. (I see way to many new players attempting this) 7) Effective HP stat in character panel (That combines your hp with all your passive defence skills.) 8) My final suggestion would be that the devs focus a bit more on the technical parts of the game. If you want this game to last another 5+ years having a solid software foundation on which to build and maintain this game will be very important long term. And from the start I always felt that the one really weak spot of swtor is the technology behind the game that is not up to the standard it should be. And also if you do this right then the game will overall have less bugs (or at least it will take less time to fix) and it will be easier to add new features and less pressure will be put on your customer service division. Win all around!
  7. Hi I'm not sure what level you are or what your exact experience have been. But I've seen a lot of the same things with my healers. But generally my feeling is players just don't know better. Lots of people in the game are quite new I find and don't have much experience. Also many people play dps classes first which means they have little to no understanding of how a group should work. I mean some people doesn't even read chat it seems when you try to tell them something But I must say as you level up things improve dramatically! My sorc is now lvl 39 and at this point people would even say sorry if they break cc. In anycase people don't learn by magic so its the task of primarily us healers to teach people how to be better: 1. Focus fire (everyone shooting the same target makes a massive difference) 2. don't break CC's 3. don't run into a fight at 30% health 4. For the tank to not run away from the healer. At lower levels I found my sorc needed alot more time to recharge power. Because I had so little that I used it all quite quickly if having to heal all the time. Later this gets better and its much easier to just keep running on. Otherwise if people really irritate you for being dumb then leave group and ignore them. The game will never put you in group with somebody you ignored There are tons of very very good players around I found. Especially people in there 2nd/3rd characters. No need to spoil your game time with fools. Afterall its a game, you should be having fun

  9. Here is some things I think can make F2P better. This is written from perspective of me a paying customer. Therefore its really to make it better for paying customer and not F2P customer per say. 1) Firstly when in a group there should be no chat restrictions. It is hilariously stupid to play with somebody that can't chat. 2) It would be nice that if you become paying customer you can re-customize your character without the F2P limitations. (switching gender should probably not be allowed) 3) Would be nice if when in a group with F2P players they get sprint. Otherwise you are just waiting for them all the time. This would also make them want to pay because they would see how cool sprint is 4) You should be able to smack F2P players when they do stupid things.
