    Rated PVP?

Does the environment seem "Competitive"? Will Bioware be implementing Skill based rewards having to do with Rating?
  2. I think fellow Star Wars fans need to be optimistic about the future of Star Wars. For those of you that hated the prequel trilogy I have good news for you, George Lucas will only be a "Creative Consultant" for the new movies. For those of you that like the prequel trilogy I will say that you have nothing to fear as well because it actually matters very little whether or not George Lucas is involved because Star Wars, in my opinion, is being held back by Lucas. Star Wars needs to be bigger than Lucas. That being said I will say that I believe in Disney. For the Marvel comic fans out there I would like to bring up the successful transfer of ownership that brought the Marvel universe under the Disney name. The Marvel Universe suddenly began to boom under Disney with the release of Marvels: The Avengers (black magic involved? probably). Disney knows how to handle a franchise, possibly better than any other entertainment company out there. Lets hope that Disney chooses the right Director. With Stephen Spielberg having his hand largely in the pockets of both Disney and Lucasarts I would be willing to make a bet that he will at least be producing the movie. I think a good Director for the movie would be Peter Jackson. What? Peter Jackson? Peter Jackson successfully managed to convert one of the most complicated works of science fiction/ fantasy in the world into a film. However, the man is now addicted to Tolkien.
  3. To be completely honest I don't think we know. George Lucas basically threw the name Tatooine in because there was a local town where he was shooting with a similar name. Lore wise I think someone would have to create some bit of lore and make it canon unless i am mistaken and there is some explenation for the languages of star wars. George Lucas isn't Tolkien.
  4. I just started playing and really like the Sith Inq class but will most likely be making a republic toon as well. I only pvp and am devoted to pvp. Any guilds out there in republic with a purely pvp focus?
  5. There most likely will be new gear for PVP. here is hoping they improve the rated PVP system to establish rewards as well as 3v3 arenas. However I do think they need to change the names of the gear/titles. I hate bringing up WoW in SWTOR forums but their system seems to work, they use things like "Cataclysmic, Dreadful, and Malevolent gladiator" for their gear names and titles. I think that SWTOR should adopt a system where the existing titles are based off of PVP ranking and the armor and valor ranks or whatever are based off of a city or planet.
  6. From my experience with PVP in mmo's: "Use all abilities. Use each ability at the appropriate time. win"

    Rated PVP?

Thanks. this is kindof the thing i was going for. I like the utility and i feel my dps will improve as i level as well. need to just learn the class at this point. it is... interesting. I am not used to playing a tank class with powerful ranged abilities and stealth.

    Rated PVP?

I've been playing the Assassin for the last two days in Warzones (only level 10 ) and idk how the scaling works low levels but im not "topping the damage boards" but i do seem to stay alive a lot longer than others, not because i am not squishy but more because i have stealth and know how to get out of danger. Are assassins "Needed " in rated pvp? I do prefer melee
  9. Audaukin, one of the best Warlock's in the history of World of Warcraft, backpedaled during the 2012 BWC 3v3 arena competition. This is SWTOR but it makes no difference.

    Rated PVP?

New player here. how is it? is each class competitive? please be pro before you say things like "all op class" or something like that.

    Knight or Inq

I have just ventured into this game and am primarily (completely) focused on PVP. I have played around with both classes and need to make a decision. I will be doing rated pvp and want to know which classes is needed the most. I need a class that is pretty good and i dont want some "this class is op because they kill me" comments. So far i see Inq's as WoW's warlocks and Knight's as WoW's Warriors (quiting wow ). However I played a Frost Mage and Frost DK exclusively in WoW, i dont see any SWTOR classes looking similar to those classes but would be willing to hear some ideas. Preferably melee and only considering DPS classes or hybrid DPS/TANK

    Balance?

As a new player to SWTOR with a primary focus toward PVP only I have a few questions. -First and formost what is OP? what should i watch for to make sure i dont get blown half to hell. -I have reserched the balance of SWTOR and got mixed results. what do you think? -Since the ranked pvp system has been implemented are there rewards for rankings? if not, when will there be? -How is faction balance? -How is the balance between melee and ranged? do melee blow up everything or ranged? Any additional information would be appreciated.
