  1. So, I've noticed that there are only two varieties of curved lightsabers in game (the clawed variety and the asajj ventress inspired design), and I was wondering why that was when---in the cartel market--there is an ample supply of similar straight lightsabers. At this point, instead of rehashing similar designs with different sound files, just make more curved lightsabers; there is so much variety in that! Just a suggestion!
  2. I gotta say, Telekinetics is a great spec now. I feel aggressive during PVP, and PVE has been pretty easy with a well geared companion. Love it, never going back to Balance or hybrid! The alacrity boost to all trees is nice, and I know some people feel like there should be another talent in the tree to compensate, but I feel like the spec preforms well and doesn't need any more fluff. Idk, what do you think?
  3. Has anyone found a moldable version of this headgear? I really like it's look, but haven't found anything that looks like it! http://www.torhead.com/item/bxclr99/blastguard-helmet-mkii
  4. What is more "fun", going dark side or light side with a smuggler? I'm starting a smuggler and I was wondering which side was more "smugglerish" than the other. Thanks in advance!
  5. Does Akaavi like dark sided smugglers, or light sided smugglers? I was planning on romancing her, and I would like to know ahead of time so I don't choose the wrong convo options and have to farm a flashpoint for its dark side or light side points...
  6. I thought about it, and I figured that it could work like this: With free-to-play coming up, there could be some bonuses that link to legacy and subscribers. Free-to-players can: Change facial features or body type: 150,000 credits. Change race: 300,000 credits (this is linked to legacy, one must have a lvl 50 character of that particular race or purchase the race for 1 million credits) Change sex: 400,000 Change name: 500,000 exorbitant amount, i know, but thats the punishment for not subbing for subscribers: Change facial features or body type: 50,000 credits Change race: 250,000 credits Change sex: 350,000 credits Change name: 450,000 credits not much of a difference, but still it's better than spending close to half a million credits on changing one letter in your name.. for people who purchased the difference packages at the start of the game ( i.e. deluxe, standard, collectors) they have the option of using cartel coins or regular credits, BUT people who own the collectors or deluxe have a significantly lower price in credits. like... Change facial features or body type: 25,000 or 3 cartel coins (i don't know the conversion rate so i am just guessing) Change race: 150,000 or 7 cartel coins change sex: 250,000 or 12 cartel coins Change name 300,000 or 15 cartel coins How does that sound?
  7. I am sure this has been brought up in the past, but I think this needs to be brought up again as something the whole community would enjoy. Are you tired of your character being a human? Did you chose body type 4 and now regret it, but you've put so much time into your character you'd hate to delete him and start over? Introducing the new and highly dangerous Czerka Biomorphous Chamber! This state-of-the-art bio-changing system can adjust anyone's skin tone, eye color, hair style and color, facial hair, and even their species! However, changes can be expensive depending on what you decided to select. So come on down to Nar Shaddaa, the only place where it is legal to do such alterations! Anyway, just a suggestion that would help a lot of us who regretted doing body type 4...
  8. Ah well, I didn't think about Marksmen, I play an Engineer and I have nothing that boosts me when I enter cover, I suppose it may not be a good idea if one has ballistic dampeners, on the other hand, if a stealther sneaks up and gets you, one still has that 30% damage reduction up.
  9. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but when one needs to use the out of combat heal, they can pop into portable cover and use the self-healing ability. I have found this to be really effective and reliant in PVP. After I finish a 1v1 or any type of fight, I stay in cover and use recuperation, heal up and go. This may seem like a small thing, but it has saved me from getting charged by melee classes. So, to protect yourself from getting charged while self-healing, I recommend popping into portable cover to keep melee DPS and tanks from charging. Has anyone else noticed this God sent?
  10. I am currently a lvl 36 sniper, and I lvled all the up using Lethality, wrong idea. I respected to Engineering at lvl 35, things are going SO much more smoothly. Damage is a lot better, however, the standard Engineering spec is cluckly when one doesn't have series of shots. One receives that ability at lvl 36, and it really makes life a lot easier with the cluster bombs. I'd say, hold out until lvl 36, then respect. It will make life easier for you and you may notice a significant increase in damage. Remember, this is coming from someone who played as a Lethality sniper, not a Marksmen.
  11. I have been converted to engineering too, I use to be specced in lethality but was butting my head against a wall with it. Now that I am an Engineer, I pump out a lot more damage and I receive a lot more medals! Engineering is seriously overlooked, but I think its not very viable until you get series of shots, then the spec really moves. If one is just lvling, stick with marksman and respec when you hit 36 or 40 for the full benefits of Engineering.
  12. How is it in PVP? Damage wise and survivability?
  13. Hello everyone, This is my first time playing sniper and I am very interested in the Lethality and Engineering trees. I enjoy PVP and have been reading the forums about different skill tree set ups, but haven't really found my answers. Does anyone have a decent damage tree for PVP, it could be just Engineering, Lethality, or the mysterious hybrid everyone says is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Anyway, would greatly appreciate the help.
  14. Hello everyone, I have seen on the forums multiple questions about the TD-17A Colossus set and have heard many storys about how people have received the set. Some say its craftable, others say its from random drops. Could someone please clarify where this comes from for the good of the community. If people don't know what this set looks like, here is a picture. http://www.google.com/imgres?q=TD-17A+Colossus+Armor+swtor&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1420&bih=666&tbm=isch&tbnid=8pqRQWP6dah0iM:&imgrefurl=http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php%3Ft%3D339111&docid=OxlJ4TZ8uc78SM&imgurl=http://47th.info/images/td17a.jpg&w=627&h=503&ei=LXYVUJ7mGYW6rQGP9ID4Aw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=188&vpy=154&dur=2930&hovh=201&hovw=251&tx=106&ty=104&sig=101718440463989472969&page=1&tbnh=150&tbnw=186&start=0&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0,i:75
  15. My favorite is when one goes to Taris as a Republic character and goes up to the people in the main base who were forced out of their homes. They all say what they need, and one of them says..... "I've spent years working on a novel in my spare time. Its on a datafile, I am sure it hasn't been stolen..."
