  1. i think it's all a playstyle question. I like my Lightning heavy hybrid build, Force Lightning as main single target attack, but clipping it immediately when Wrath procces, for 5.5k Lightning Strike, which can proc Chain Lightning. In AOE, nothing beats Death Field, Force Storm, Chain Lightning. It's a mobility build though, for raid bosses, the Madness heavy (2/16/28) build is better dps from the dots. I tried full Lightning, but 1.5 sec cast time spamming got on my nerves, and full madness is just lacking the utility and regen of Lightning tree. That's why I say, it's just a matter of taste.
  2. For leveling I used a hybrid build, first 16 points into Madness, for Wrath, and then going up Lightning until the +50% crit damage on LS, final 3 points going into crit. Force Lightning instantly deals damage, and not just after a 1.5 sec cast. Usually in FPs, a standard target is dead by the time you finish casting a Lightning Strike. With the procces from Wrath and Lightning Storm, you will be pretty bursty: start channeling Force Lightning, cast Lightning Strike immediately when Wrath procces, and hope for a Lightning Storm, for a free, instant Chain Lightning. It's the most mobile sorc build, you can cast not just Affliction and Shock on the run, but Death Field, a procced Crushing Darkness, Lightning Strike, or a Chain Lightning. The build is also ideal for raid trash clearing, but for bosses a 28 Madness build is still better.
  3. Edit: same applies if you wait for the regular CD on gore, use it and the buff is on you when Slaughter would proc, gore remains on CD...
  4. Yes, I have tried it yesterday on the dummy, used Gore, and then nothing but rage builder and massacres. It looks like, if you have used Gore, and Ataru form procces, while you have the buff from Gore, you get Slaughter, BUT Gore doesn't come off cooldown. You have to wait for the internal cooldown, which is 20 seconds, and then slaughter will proc again, and we are back to a slaughter proc every 20 seconds. So for me it was just the first proc chance that was wasted. Sometimes you can get lucky, and don't proc ataru form on charge-gore-ravage-forcescream, and your first massacre will proc slaughter. But that is a rare case.
  5. I'm using the new Eradicator's Warsuit set for chest, gloves and legs, some Black Hole boots, and for head the Marauder Elite Headgear, until 2.1 when the mask comes out for the Eradicator set. Well, it's not unique, with every mara wearing Eradicator, but did wear the same armor in the trailer too.
  6. Please, if you write a review for the classes, don't just use copy-paste. Because what you just said, is totally not true for SW/JK. For all other classes, resource gain is adjusted by alacrity, (with 0 alacrity you gain 8 force / sec, with 4% alacrity you gain 8.32 force /sec). SW/JK doesn't get this because our resource gain is from procces, that have fixed internal cooldown, not affected by alacrity, or from skills on CD like charge, battering assault, etc. That's why, if an SW/JK has anything higher than zero for alacrity, his rotation is screwed, and he either has to wait for one of his CDs to be available again, or has to use a filler, to gain resource. The first defeats the whole purpose of alacrity, the second just plain lowers the dps. To add insult to injury, there is Ravage/Master Strike, which doesn't use alacrity. So your whole copy-pasted sentence here is flawed, and should be corrected.
  7. My marauder finally looks like a sith, black hood, black cloak, and some nice spiked gloves. (also, bought with coins from monthly sub and achievement, no cash needed ) I hope this starts a trend of hardly sought after items, like: - Smuggler hat for my BH - Pure white armor for my trooper (pretty please?) - Other armor models, which you can only see on NPCs.
  8. Berserk became a bit more situational, than on every time it's up. You need to make sure you have enough Rage when you start it. But for burst start is incredible: Fill up to 30, use berserk, open with a free two hand throw, charge, and normal rotation. If Ataru form procces the free Deadly Throw, it's even more bursty. Just don't use ravage, until you used up all charges, because Ravage doesn't benefit from the 30% alacrity. Which is pretty stupid IMHO.

Please Bioware, raise the weekly for Classic Commendations, either to 400, or like in the case of planetary commendations, lower the the amount you can have at a time to 150 or 200, without a weekly limit. I couldn't hit 50 on my alt after double xp weekend, now she will be in gear bought from planetary comms, until I get some BH drops from FPs, that she can wear. Last night I did two HM FPs in blue 124 gear (with guild, I don't know if anyone would bring me alone with GF), and I'm already at 70% of 50, near 51. With a weekly limit I will be wearing 1 or 2 piece of Campaign, and anything that FPs drop, and be lvl 55. Totally undergeared, becaused the stat curve will drop my stats below playable.
  10. Check out the gree lightsaber, its a fair bit longer than the other sabers. My marauder sports two of these beauties, and most animations look better with a longer blade... but there are some, where even these blades cross the body of the character. An even bigger one would definitely make more problems, even reach the ground in some moves.
  11. I noticed a thing noone seemed to address yet: Classic commendation gear will be current BlackHole one, where 5 out of 7 armorings is Endurance > Mainstat. Without Campaign armorings, you will have to resort to buying player made 63 armorings, which won't have a set bonus. And because after 2.0 armorings will provide set bonus and not the shell, you can't fix it with putting the crafted armoring in a set bonus shell. So it's either under par stats, but set bonus, or sane stats and no set bonus. This is really dumb, IMHO.
  12. So if you knew on the first week, before using the limit, that Hero will be 15000, you could have counted and made the math... ********. This is a game, not a math exam. You shouldn't min-max for an event reward. Bioware seriously didn't do the math, and all the folks who didn't spend the repu items "optimally" (wait what? optimally? why not just turn them in?), will have to wait 1 week after the event ended to get an actual reward from all the helix they have gathered. If (and that's a big if) the vendors "stick around' for more then 1 week. My solution would be, to make the weapons buyable without the repu requirement. You can have them, but can't use them until you turn in the repu items you have lying around. The other solution would be giving some information to the players, that "the vendors will be ingame until the 2.0 patch" or "until the server downtime on y th of x". Nope, none of the above. "they will stick around"
  13. For me issue is: Waiting 5 mins to see any reply from game. Than getting the popup window: You cannot log in characters on this server due to maintenance. All my lvl 50s are on this server after the merges. Bring in server transfers please so we are not shot when one of your megaservers fails.
  14. First I was totally "I'm gonna kill this retard girl", always corpses around her... And than I know she is damaged goods. That makes the choice, who to kill in the end, more difficult. The lesser of two evils?
  15. I would be really happy, if I could a) get the opportunity for even a second Annihilate, before the buff runs out. Usually it wears off, before I get into another fight, where the opponent doesn't stun, knockback or root me, before I could take the swing. b) get a cost reduction on Annihilate, because anyway i count and manage my Rage, i tend to be lower than required. One more Assault, push Annihilate... still 1 stack, damn, I was late. c) make the buff icons bigger, so I see at first glance, how many stacks I have on fury and annihilator, how many time left on deadly saber, and how many rage i have currently. Looking at the bottom of the screen is tiresome.
