  1. You may be right....but it would at least be a bit better then how it is now with Empire sitting on central 90% of the time and nothing going on.
  2. Ok I know some people will get riled up here...but oh well. But...Ilum (in relation to PvP area) could be so good and have people being entertained but they have totally dropped the ball on it. I find this a bit confusing as knowing that Bioware has a bunch of people from Mythic on the staff that worked on Warhammer Online (in particular Jeff Hickman who you see being quoted from time to time). Ill cut this as short as possible. In Ilum you basically have everyone crowding the Central Base trying to control it for armaments. But what is happening on many servers I would guess...is that Empire outnumbers Republic 5 to 1 or more...so.... Empire holds it probably 90% of the time. Yeah Republic will from time to time catch them off guard with a small Ops of 10 or so people....then after a few good fights...Empire calls everyone out and the Republic get rolled by 20+ and.....well....thats it. Done. On Warhammer Online even if you were outnumbered you could still accomplish things. You could do hit and run taking smaller keeps and getting rewards in commendation type rewards and even chest loot etc. There was at least something to do. On Ilum its hold Central or...nothing. They need to add at least a few armaments to the other capture points and also award say Valor and perhaps a couple Armaments just for capturing a point. Then at least the undermanned side can run around and accomplish something. Even if you only add it to 3 central points. That will also help as it will spread everyone out a bit and get more fights going. As it is...if Empire has Central and you go capture the other points....half the time they dont care they will just sit at Central and farm armaments. I know its getting bad when half the time I go to Ilum and its the same 8-10 people in zone and Empire has sometimes twice that at Central alone. If there was some other incentives out there other then just holding Central people would go out there and mix it up more.
  3. Im one of those people that has been hosed on the bags more than probably most. Ive gotten 28 bags to date. I have ZERO Champion armor pieces from those bags. From those...Ive only gotten the Champion Weapon and Champion Relic (which is terrible). But no proper armor pieces. 26 empty bags out of 28. Now your telling me your going to make it worse!!??!!?!?!!! Thanks.
  4. Yeah I know this has been discussed. In fact I love the other thread where someone suggested the devs should do the same system with fanny packs and their paychecks. I just had to come here in frustration at the anger I have currently with this system. Now I know some of you will say you have had worse or that I have not opened enough bags etc etc. But let me just show this in the slight 1 in a million chance a Dev is actually paying attention. Im currently about to hit Valor 40. Yes Im of course level 50. I have now opened 25 bags. Here is my results... 1- 3 tokens 2- 1 token and relic item (which sucks) 3- 3 tokens 4- 1 token and weapon item 5- 3 tokens 6- 3 tokens 7- 3 tokens 8- 3 tokens 9- 3 tokens 10- 3 tokens 11- 3 tokens 12- 3 tokens 13- 3 tokens 14- 3 tokens 15- 3 tokens 16- 3 tokens 17- 3 tokens 18- 3 tokens 19- 3 tokens 20- 3 tokens 21- 3 tokens 22- 3 tokens 23- 3 tokens 24- 3 tokens 25- 3 tokens Yes. In 25 bags not a single piece of armor unless you count the relic which honestly is the worst piece as my current ones were really almost as good. Now I know a few of my guildmates have sorta had equal bad luck in that they keep getting repeats on pieces they already have. But at least they have like 2-3 pieces. Yeah..I can at least buy the lower quality Centurian gear with all the tokens...but..yeah. I dont know...this system is just frustrating. As it is Im going to hit Valor 40 and not have a single piece of Champion gear. Heck...I may get to 60 even lol. Anyway just voicing frustration in the whole system. Curious if many of you have had the same sort of luck or perhaps some of you have been real lucky. I know I saw another Scoundrel in a match once and inspected them and they had 3 Champion pieces they were wearing along with a bunch of level 35 green pieces. /rant /whine
  5. Im 50 now. I pretty much used Bowdar until I got Risha. Once I got her Ive used her pretty much exclusively all the way up. My reasoning is she kills things much faster then any of the others. Im a healing scoundrel so... I throw her a couple HoT's and we are good to go. The tanks just take too long. I also prefer her because gearing her is easy as I generally just gave her my gear that I upgraded since she uses the same Medium/Cunning armor. Ill probably gear up Guss and Corso though as they can be useful here and there. Bowdar I liked but sometimes it just seemed Corso causes less aggro issues and all that.
  6. Im 50 now as a Healing Scoundrel and I can tell you that once I got Risha I pretty much stopped using the tanks (Bowdar and Corso). Especially if you have Armstech....you can make her nice sniper rifles and then give her your gear that you upgrade. She does quite a bit more damage then the others. For me...it was basically have longer fights with Bowdar or faster fights that I may have to heal a hair bit more with Risha. I went with the latter. The only time I break out a tank pet is perhaps for a tougher boss fight on a class quest or something.
  7. Well im currently 48...will be 49 tonight and probably 50 by Tuesday night. Im a Heal spec Scoundrel. The guild Im in has a couple 50's though and from what I hear from them Im not looking forward to it. I think some of the balance estimates are a ways off in my opinion but Im sure it varies server to server. On my server according to a good friend of mine who is a 50 Shadow...he says typically sometimes there will get to be a few Republic out in Ilum. He said there will be even maybe 8-9 of them. They will go around trying to do stuff...encounter a few Sith....then.... BAM....next thing he sees 30+ empire show up...they get wiped...people disband and leave. The End. Im sure this is happening on most servers and honestly probably what happens after a couple instances of this the Republic players just give up. From everything I see and hear Empire has republic at a minimum of a 5 to 1 disadvantage. In some cases maybe worse. Anyone who ever played Warhammer Online can see the train wreck that is coming. Its no coincidence that Jeff Hickman was the top guy on WaR and now is in charge of some of this on SWTOR. Ilum can be great fun...but the way it is setup is going to ruin it. Having 50 foaming at the mouth Sith waiting for 6 Republic to come out of the spawn area is not a good setup.
  8. Things that SHOULD happen to fix many of the issues: - The bracket they add should not just be level 50. It should be 40-50. Have the low bracket be 10-39 and the high one be 40-50. Level 40 is where people get the first set of PvP gear (well there is a lvl 20 set but hte 40 set is the first one with endgame stats like surge, alacrity etc etc). This will also help the queue times a bit for level 50's. - Illum should have 2 sets of balance mechanics.... - Dont allow one side to have more then a 10-15% population advantage before sending to new instance of zone. - If one side has the full 10-15% advantage give the underdog side a 10% stat boost. - Encourage people to queue PvP at least 1-2 times daily by giving a large valor boost for first say...2 matches played each day. This will help get queues at endgame from dying completely. - A better CC immunity system needs to be worked out. Something to the effect of once your CC'd you get a 5-8 second immunity. You can take a note from your in-house Mythic people. They (very late in the game) finally separated CC into like 2 categories I think and gave them different immunity timers. - Healers need more rewards in PvP. If you heal in a Warzone you typically get shafted on medals while dps people get 6+ healers get maybe 4.

This is one of those same old knee-jerk reactions people have in every mmo once they get owned by a class especially when its a stealth class because they get caught by surprise and are not able to recover or adapt in a 1 vs. 1 situation. Listen....every single fight is not going to be a fair fight in a bubble with 1 guy versus another guy. This is not SWTOR the duel simulator. If you and a buddy are getting owned by one Scoundrel...and this is taking into consideration you are all the same level and close gear wise...then Im sorry...your at fault not the Scoundrel that knows how to play. They dont have 10 stuns on 2 second cooldowns. They have a mezz (that can be cc broke and dmg broke)...they have a flash grenade that is 8 sec but is broke instantly on damage or cc....then they have a couple like 3 second stuns like the crotch kick. If between you and a buddy neither of you can click the break cc button and then use a cc and a dot of some sort on him...Im sorry. I know friends who are smart when they see one they use dot's on them first then save aoe attacks to instantly use when they try to combat stealth which pops them out. Its callled ADAPTING. Hate will always come though for any stealth class because people hate to be hit first and then have to be adaptive to recover. Me personally I hare Bounty Hunters. I constantly get owned by them in pvp and they have so many attack chains its insane. You dont see me come in here after a couple encounters though starting a thread to nerf them.
  10. Then your not paying attention. I was in a match with 2 friends we were on vent together. We are 30, 31 and 29. We were in a match there is a lvl 50 BH....the two of them were banging on him non stop with me healing. Another 42 comes over and they wipe us. We know how to play. Its when you are hitting a 50 with your abilities for 400 and they are hitting you for 2500...yeah..Im sorry thats a lack of skill. Whatever.
  11. The reason it is fun for you is explained in your sig. Ill admit the basic foundation of the pvp seems like it will be fun perhaps once everyone is 50. But with the way it is now...with 50's and 40's of empire pounding on 20-30's of republic because Empire population is 5 to 1 of Republic.....makes it not fun for many people.
  12. I can also say this is terrible and really is the one big screw up they made on this game (or at least the biggest). Im on Dreshdae Cantina. Im a lvl 30 Scoundrel and Im typically the top healer on my team regardless of level. We lose like 18 out of 20 matches and I may be being a bit easy on it there...it may be worse. What happens is like this.... Republic Team levels: 36, 32, 28, 23, 22, 20, 18, 12 Empire Team Levels: 50, 50, 48, 42, 38, 35, 18, 14 What happens? The 50's and 40's just own the map. Nobody can touch them. They never die. Its completely insane. At the VERY LEAST...there should be 2 brackets. 10-39 and 40-50. The fact that from most Ive read the population of Empire to Republic is like 5 to 1....probably accounts for this as well.
