  1. So I actually didn't read much of this topic except the OP until after I posted my 2 cents. And tho the OP and I are what I think complaining about two different areas of the game. His definitely is about the cartel market and how he feels about it. I feel mine is directed twords the bugs in the game and the lack of meaningful directions the game has been taking. BUT after reading all 11 pages of this topic something has become clear to me. There are three people posting in this topic. 1) People quitting this game and posting there reasons for doing so. 2) Trolls, they have nothing better to do. Dont feed them please 3) Biowares/EA's Social Media team I MEAN COMMON would any sensible subscriber argue that the buggy content they are getting is sufficient and this is acceptable. Lot of other MMO's Ive played don't release raid after raid with this many bugs. Some yes. But as game breaking as cortanni for example. Spending hours trying to kill the boss over and over. Just an example, many buggy raids in the past. Nothing new here. And yet there are people saying this is ok. A by product of today and age of MMO's i'm sorry but try any other MMO and its not the case. BIOWARE OR EA SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM! Whoever you are, STOP IT. There are issues making this game and your company look highly unprofessional. My Wife and I have already taken are money else were. Closer before i avoid these forums until the end of this year., when i make my decision if its worth a second look. Your new costume designer looks dumb. Ive been playing since open beta "my look" is already complete. Give me savable STAT GEAR SLOTS. So idk i can change between my pve/pvp sets by a click of a button. Doesn't that seem handy and awesome. OR Like swappable build with gear bound to them. So when i am needed for either Tank or DPS for a given raid instead of having to respec change around my UI, and change my gear.... 10 min later we start raiding. How about savable builds and STAT gear slots. This was in a game called Guild Wars (1) released April 28th 2005. Common thinking of good ideas is not hard. You just have to wake up in the morning, drink some coffee and DO SOME WORK!
  2. I just got done un-subing to the Game. Upon my way out I left Bioware a note on my reason for leaving. In addition to the same message I left Bioware below there are many additional reasons as to why I left. Not all inclusive but to add a few more. The engine, framerate drop because of a poorly codded UI. FOREVER and a day to fix some key game breaking bugs. Any decent new content is on the Cartel Market while the released patch content is the same with no new flare to the game(edit-there has been good updates I.e Strongholds, and gsf are among my fav, but anything past that is new boring daily areas and raids with more buggs then i care to recount). No new ideas, nothing fresh its ALL THE SAME, patch after patch after patch. Everyone is entitled to there opinion, and the trolls will tell me im wrong for X,Y and Z, but myself and my wife who plays with me (both of us since launch). Will be taking our time and Money to an MMO that offers real content updates bringing new life with every patch. My only complaint is my Star Wars Fanboyism prevented me from realizing this sooner. I hope Bioware polices up there game so I can return one day. But i have now moved on. Below is my 1995 character message to Bioware over the reason I left. "I have been playing since Open Beta. I pre-ordered the Collectors edition and have been a loyal dedicated sub since. I have enjoyed this game for a long time but as of recently it is starting to feel very stale. I WANT this game can succeed. But with the direction the game has been taking lately I have come to realize there are better MMO's out there with less game breaking bugs and cost less to enjoy. I will take the next few paragraphs to explain the issues I have with the game. Story: Excellent class and planet story's with great voice acting. As of today I have played most of the Class missions and ALL of the Planet missions+many additional quest content. It is now dry for me and this aspect of the game no longer appeals to me as there has been very little attempt to continue these class story's. PvP: I enjoyed the warzones, class balance was one of the best I experienced with any MMO, not perfect but good. As time has progressed PvP remains the same. Not many new warzones. And little to no attempt made to introduce World PvP or a type of battlegrounds bringing fresh life to PvP. GSF: Favorite part of the game ATM. But with no future plans to add more to GSF content based on the most recent road map, this disappoints me. Conquest: An awesome feature, but because the friends I play with are in a small guild and our shrinking server is preventing us from recruiting more. Conquest is a challenge and is becoming more of a frustrating grind. Content/expansion/Cartel Market: Last expansion was short, felt like a daily area update. Newest raids remain bugged. YET the cartel market gets updated regularly with new stuff. (not bugged) I must pay more for a subscription that should provide me this content. The MMO i am switching to does not do this and offers all new armor/mounts/content to its subs for no additional cost. I have more to share but the 2000 Character limit prevents me. Please contact me as I want to see this game succeed."

  4. Rarely... RARELY, do I read the forums located here at Swtor.com. Every time I do, I am reminded why I don't. After the first few post I read across General, FP/Operations, PvP and GSF sections of the forums I find nothing but discontent for the game and makes me wonder if the people on here maintain their accounts just to complain about it . As I pondered this I came to the realization that this IS....

  6. Republic Aligned Tank and DPS team looking for a raiding guild, details below. Player Details: My wife and Myself are looking for a Mature and professional raiding guild. Formerly Empire aligned characters that began into NiM TFB and S&V raiding. The guild we where in on PoTF disbanded and despite attempts by members to keep it going it ultimately fell apart. Since then we decided to re-roll on the Republic trying new classes. We have not had any luck finding a raiding guild that completes more then the three boss weekly TFB and S&V SM on the server we rolled on (Jung Ma). Gearing: 69+, (No set bonus), Fully augmented. Guild Requirements: -Must be on some type of PVP/RP-PVP server (cant stand not attacking the opposing faction). YES WE WILL TRANSFER TO YOU! - Have a need for a Guardian tank, and Sentinel DPS in a progression raiding group. Preferably currently clearing SM TFB/S&V given our current gearing. - Prime raiding time anywhere between 6PM-1AM CST any part of the week. -Have a Mature/respectable mind set and a understanding that RL happens. If this sounds like your Guild and you have a need for us please send me a private forum message and I would love to talk.
  7. What are the que times like for 55 hm flashpoints? Are guilds recruiting raiders to do progression raiding? Is there world pvp/(rp) events organized by the community? Server I am from has a bad attitude and more trolls then i care to count looking for a place I can enjoy my gaming a bit more =) so is this the server for me?
  8. Original poster returning here. After much practice gearing and mod/enhancement swapping I am petty sure I came close to replicating Mauull's rotation. Almost everything is the same as far as number of hits for each move when they appeared in the parse and how often they crit. Only difference regarding my dps is I am only full BH geared. I only have the warrior buff and I used a exotech might stim and no adrenals. So with the mention considered believe I can hit close to Mauull's Damage if i geared some more and ran with all the buffs. I now rival our snipers and marauders when we raid. (I admit my rotation could be better using more force charge and a few less smash.)
  9. Guild: Unforgiven, crashed while running 8 Man HM TFB 3/5 until crash.
  10. For my rotation and priority i do the following. To start off the fight i use saber throw then charge and sundering assault. I then use shatter to apply the dot then ravage followed by impale and anothdr sundering assault. I use force scream then enrage to prevent having to use sundering assualt again so i can use another shatter. If ravage got taken off cool down i use that again and my rotation starts over. If not i use vicious slash and sundering assault while i wait for impale and force scream to come off CD. I dont know what im doinv wround but i would like to hit 1600+ dps, and apparently im doing somthing wroung.
  11. Hi guys, End game player looking for some Vengeance spec advice. I see some ppl are getting 1650+ DPS on this spec before Execute %. I am hitting 1300~ on a good parse. From what i understand for gearing you want 350 crit rating and 300 surge with 105% accuracy and the rest in strength/power. I am mostly black hole gear with 2-3 pieces of rakata, fully augmented with strength augments. MY Stats Str: 1854 Power: 627 Bonus damage: 536 Accuracy: 104% Crit: 30.6% Surge: 76% RELICS: warhero crit and surge relic and Dread guard power activation relic. Any tips to get my DPS higher is appreciated.
  12. With the Bounty Hunter Buff and a full set of Black Hole gear Fully Augmented running 2 of the war hero Shield relics I am at 24240 HP 53.75 Damage reduction 15.64% Defense 60.45% Shield Chance 60.25 Absorb Rating
  13. Powertech/vanguard are the best. I play powertech and ill out tank all you mother ***********. My ability to control the battlefield pick up aggro on everything and survive with little stress to my healer. I.E. ( Exsplosive Fuel= +25% Crit chance, Death from above, Jet Charge, grapple far away npc, AOE taunt, Flame sweep, Thermal overide= Next move is free, Flame sweep, Pop them defences, Flame thrower, Rocket punch, Flame burst and heat blast to build up that absorbtion.) There you have it AoE damage, treat on multple targets sustained and survived with ease. When all you other tanks are force sensitive and we Bounty Hunter's are known as Jedi Killers there is a reason us powertechs are the best, and from this day on you will refer to us as POWERTANK!
  14. To clarify some things on my original post. When testing CGC i stayed in my tank armor i left my dps set in the bank. When testing the 2 stances i tried it without stance dancing. Tanking with this spec while stance dancing would be a good thing to try. Also to be fait i didnt test the dps as exstansivly as i did the tanking aspect. Downloading a parser now. Ill try and get some hard numbers up tonight. My version of the build is (19/0/22)
  15. After reading 4 pages of this post i decided to give the Bubble tank spec a try. I have tryed this once before in one wz match. I missed Jet Charge so much i switched back to ST after one wz. But after reading all the comments about it i tested it. I grouped with my wife who is a Operative healer. We did 2 Belsavis heroic dailyes and HM BP.I wanted to do FE but couldent get a group for it. What I found: Aggro- Aggro was no problem tho i never rly had a problem with aggro. I noticed the IM halped alot with dps. Sence 1 point of damage =1 threat and with the tank stance thats 1.5 threat per point of damage so the 1.8k dot from IM gives u 3.6k threat and on top of the dot procked by IGC. I litarly walked away from the jedi boss in HM BP took a emergancy bio and still had aggro when i came back. What I found: Damage Output-damage was about the same as full ST IMO i felt Bubble tank had more dps output in boss fight havent parsed it i willbe parsing damage of this spec tonight. On a negative note DPS in CGC was actualy about the same as in IGC. So end note DPS about the same in both builds. Bubble tank may put out more damage during boss fights do to dots from IM and IGC. what i found: Heat- it took awhile to get use to but i found a rotation that allowed for low heat consumption. Start off with IM>Rail shot>"at this point you should of closed the gap, no Jet charge =(" RP>Explosive dart>Unload>flame thrower"Compined with thermal sensor is availible" >More RP> Flame burst for filler in CD's. If your heat gets to high from poor managment sprinkle in 2 of the basic attack. I specd for the 30 sec cool down to vent heat tho i will probably do 1 point i didnt use it that much. what i found: Mitigation- heres the big part. Let me start of by saying the belsalvis heroics and HM BP were a bit below me and my healers gear lvl IMO.(Both most rakata with a peice or 2 of columni) Having my healer sitting next to me allowed for cordination of when my shield was rdy. From her standpoint she felt the healing was noticibly easyer. we were able to take on 2 good size heroic mobs and belsalvis and win with little sweat. She said she didnt notice to much more damage taken when my bubble was on cd. from the 6% less shield, up to 8% absorption and 2% mitigation. wasent to bad from the runs we did. My stats 31 Point Shield Tech: Health=22.23k W/BH buff, Armor Mitigation=52%, Defence=16% Shield Chance= 46%, Absorption=42%(50% with heat screen buff, 63% with absorption trinket proc+heatscreen) My stats Bubble tank:Health=22.4k W/BH Buff, Armor mitigation=50%, Defence=16%, shield chance=40%, Absorption=42%(55% with proc from absorption trinket) End state : I was surprised how wellit did i was totaly counting this build out. With thati feel i need to try harder content with it and iwant to parse the damage. Hope this inspired more people to try the build. It would be cool if we had a viable hybrid tanking spec to break up the monotney of everyone having the same tanking build.Maybe this build makes a great off-tank with more testing we will find were this build stands.
