  1. 1. I always aim mid center. 2. I just upgraded them and I hardly experience any differences. 3. With or without my hits only hit for about 230 per tick. 4. Some times they do, some times they don't, I can't imagine that they're capable of having it up 24/7 for I sure as heck can't. 5. No I am not, I am sharing my experience.
  2. Me having to hit a target at least 10 times before it explodes. But it only takes them 3 hits to get me? Yes I am aware of converting power to engines, weapons or shields.
  3. So I reached 70 went to Ossus did the story quests and after taking over the Jedi Library it ends? Is the rest tied to reputation? Is it still being released? What's the deal?
  4. It's common issue with the ST type launcher ( streaming ) The guaranteed fix to this issue is changing the launcher to a non-stream launcher. open the launcher.settings file in notepad and locate the below line and edit to the below , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"BR\" }" Change to: , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"SSN\" }" , "bitraider_disable": false Change to: , "bitraider_disable": true SAVE the changes. Delete the BitRaider, Movie and Asset folders then start the launcher.
  5. He raised a valid point. He contradicted the OP for lacking in knowledge of the mechanics and locking in the wrong spec without the proper statistics to meet the standards of the challenge. And he did so via a rather comical sarcastic reaction. There's always a way to accomplish something in video games, you just have to find out how. Demanding nerfs and changes just to make it easier isn't rewarding and takes away any sense of progression and or success. Great example World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth.
  6. Unique class stories is a thing from the past. The subscription count is too low to support a fully dedicated expansion. Though I do believe they're making a lot of money via the Cartel Shop. So unless the community grows and throws in more money it won't happen. As for your other points I agree it had some good it had some bad, my biggest annoyance with the story and their quests are the vehicle phases. I am playing a dark lord of the Sith with tremendous power why would I need to diminish myself to an extremely slow automaton in order to defeat my enemies? It made no sense to me, it was also really slow and it felt as filler to extend your play time.
  7. It might be interesting to upgrade your ISP package to a faster connection. I for example have 400mb/s connection and when I'm playing on US servers my ping fluctuates between 90 and 130 ms.( EU player ) It's too high for competitive shooters but mmorpgs can coup with it just fine.
  8. I suddenly lost connection to the server and my game crashed. Naturally I tried to relaunch the game via the launcher but it keeps promting a warning message saying: "This application has encoutnered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again." Any idea to what's going on? UPDATE 12:11 It seems like the problem resolved it self, my guess is that the server went down for a while..
  9. It probably won't. The game hardly gets any proper new content updates. They keep releasing slightly modified stock model characters and low resolution textures. Most of the instances are under performing and extremely laggy and or bugged. Yet you're still being charged 12,99 euro a month. The game isn't bad but it's far from reaching a new high point.
  10. The game is experiencing a lot of bugs and performance drops... Isn't it great? Paying a monthly subscription fee to have a unstable product that doesn't deliver it's promised support?
  11. Then you've missed out on tons of other better titles. KoTor alone is already 10 times better than Swtor can ever be.
  12. Almost every mmorpg that uses a subscription based membership prices their customers 13,- each 30-days. 27,- for 60-days is outdated and only available through pre-paid cards in most other games. Besides that the real discount only applies to those who order a larger quantity which is normal in marketing, buy more pay a little less, hence the reason you're only paying 11,- per month when purchasing a recurring 180-day subscription deal. Now you could argue that a one-time 30-day purchase would be cheaper than a 27 day which is true but only by 1 euro which isn't a major difference or an actual issue. They're still getting more money than their current product is actually worth. I've addressed this is one my topic ''point of view, from a returning player'' Where the game never made any graphical enhancement or mechanic based upgrades. The game still runs on the same old engine, with the same old low resolution textures, with the same old rehashed stock models. Even the cartel market items are made using the same old model principles and resolutions. Besides never changing and or updating those features, it no longer requires the same amount of resources to host an 7 year old server platform. But back on topic... Like I mentioned before, no-one actually purchases 60-day subscriptions anymore when it comes to other more successful titles. ( think of World of Warcraft ) And if you truly wish to attract a new player base to your unstable game you will have to make it appealing. No one wants to pay 27 for a trial. Now the game does provide a 7-days of imaginary subscription time for free via referral links but that's limited to level sixtyfive or at least it is for me. You're still unable to participate in the new content to see if it's worth the price of admission. You're only allowed to enjoy the outdated content no one plays any more but this time without any restrictions. And that's why a 13,- for 30-days manual purchase would be effective. It's relatively cheap even though I personally believe it should be way lower than that. People are more wiling to give it a shot and if they're enjoy the new content and the game at its finest they will extend their sub via one of the recurring sub plans.
  13. It depends on your location, you're clearly American and I'm European we're not paying 15 dollars per 30 days we're paying 12,99 euro which is equal to 15 dollars.
  14. One time is obviously a non-recurring subscription as even stated on the store page as one time purchase for the 60 day option. I'm not sure what you're trying to point out here? My point is that there's still no one-time purchase option for 30-days. No one wants to spend 27 for 60 days and find out the current state of the game is not their idea of a enjoyable game in the next 3 days. having spend 27 with 57 days remaining but 0 interest of playing. This is the only superior feature Blizzard offers with their mmo product.
  15. Taking away a rewarding feature that heavily impacted your character's progression renders xp gaining boring and more like a chore despite how fast it has gotten. Subscriptions are based on the resources required to maintain the product and update the product and a small profit. Time has passed and tech has been upgraded yet the core of the game remains the same. It requires less to host and maintain swtor today than it did back in 2011 hence the reason I addressed the topic: "is it still worth the same price of admission?" And my guess is, no. And I doubt that audio dialogue deletion was a community wish. It's more likely they left it out in order to cut back their expanses, as hundreds of hours of voice recording sessions and editing costs quite a lot of money. If it truly was a wish by the community they would have removed it with the first expansion release which they didn't. Infact the "diehard fans" played the game for it's uniqueness story driven dialogue with top notch voice acting it was Swtor's selling point back in the day. 1000's, 5 or 100 hours doesn't mean I can't see errors with the current state of the product. Pre -expansions it took time and effort to progress your character making you invest and emerge more in to the game. Now you're applying your face to your keyboard and you're done. Like I said, Swtor Bioware/Ea are following the World of warcraft formula and what have we learned from Blizzard's Wow is that they lost millions of subscribers due to the fact they oversimplified the game to a degree anyone could do anything at anytime with minimum effort. So what Bioware/EA are doing is they're looking at their competitor's success trying to mimic their product in a unpopular game which ultimately will lead to more players abandoning Swtor. Hence the reason they merged all the servers together because the servers were practically empty and the few remaining players on each server, were basically playing all by their selves. Rather than truly experiencing a MMO universe. And don't get me wrong. If you're fine with a simplified game that hardly has a sense of progression or reward, outdated textures and models copy pasted til death then be my guest enjoy it to your heart's content, but that doesn't mean the problems aren't there and that I have to like them just because you're okay with them.
