  7. wasnt able to watch it all but hopefully some new-to-tanking focus will find it useful cant say there's any bad info being giving in what i saw so thats good. beyond threat/taunting... you missed the general mechanic of the 6 sec forced targeting from taunts. Dealing with mobs and bosses that dont auto stick to top threat, its an important detail. TFB's tantrum phase, the probe mobs in the puzzle for Olok, Styrak (non-NM). since this is a "basics" series... utility stuns video you should include a note to watch for boss immunity, etc. guardian leap and utility final didnt work for me. but the tallent for AoE taunt applying reduced damage to friendlies is a life saver at times. like the Kephess drop in TFB... I don't like risking a guardian leap into there but i'll use my AoE taunt just outside the circle each time. in the "reflect pull" vid your referring to proximity threat going straight to you... important note about that: all HoTs from your healers will be building agro, so the moment you take one heal while not having any threat on one of those mobs, they will go for the healer. when its a spread group i usually saber throw the far one, leap to the mid, sweep, then reflect just to help guaranty more group hate. just mark the one you are focusing down first to help insure easy multi-mob management.

  9. SM is designed where you can kill it with any group of 4... its a new thing to the game so if you go in with ok geared tank, healer, and 2 dps you're going in OPed. its the design... so no its not too easy. HM too difficult? give the 4-man crowd a challenge, please!
  10. difficulty is where it should be. we raid maybe 10 hours a week and are currently 5/5 and 6/7 in the 8 man nightmares. we have people out time to time and we've had a few one night swaps here and there but still primarily stick to the same crew and not even swap in and out people for min/maxing the group dynamic per the fight as some other do. we didn't have NM TFB done until right before NM S&V and still got thru 6/7 in decent time without having farmed TFB for gear. if people can clear the content in decent time without max possible gear walking in on day one and then only put in a few hours a few days a week, then there is by no means anything wrong with the difficulty.
  11. its hard to twist someone's words around when its typed out in plain text. anti-social and nonsocial are two different things. nonsocial and not super social, again are two different things. by design i mean our guild purposefully small and is composed of highly skilled players with the common goal of clearing PVE content and being social butterflies makes no difference to achieving that goal. back to the point of my post. the current end game is undoubtedly hard. people are hitting walls. and just because our guild seems disconnected from the lowbie, newbie, and more casual crowd, it doesn't mean we're above helping out other end game raiders.
  12. have i seen that bug? no. only buggy part in there tues night was the red circle was dropping off me at about .5 sec per the explosion versus the usually like .1 sec. i wiped us once with that leaping back too soon and then just compensated and cleared.
  13. it drops 72s, so a min/maxed 69 set give or take dependent on skill. but just like TC, good group of people can 7 man it.
