  1. Like others have said, I too hope Dulfy is well! I just think that privacy is sought by Dulfy and that ought to be respected, maybe someday Dulfy will be back. If not, well, it was a pleasure using Dulfy.com all those years when I used to play! Thanks Dulfy. I always found Dulfy.com to provide endless information about SWTOR but in a way that made it fun to search and read through! Dulfy created a site that was not only useful but FUN to use. There really was a Dulfy touch to it, and no other creators come close to what Dulfy created. I find it ironic that the most beloved and genuine creator was also a real, true fan of this game yet Dulfy got very little props for the work they did. Players always raved about Dulfy and the site, but this game never did squat for Dulfy! Anyway, I feel like Dulfy could have been given a much larger platform by BW and EA and they definitely missed a big opportunity where they could have brought in someone that truly loved the game and would have added substance to their community with an unmatched, unbridled amount of passion. Just another great person left to fall through the SWTOR cracks it seems.
  2. Seems to be the new "feature" players have found to exploit to troll and harass other players... Squelching. If it's not abundantly clear by this point the playerbase can't be trusted to use such tools to self-manage themselves. Vote kicking, too, btw. Any feature in the game giving control and power over other players to the players has proven disastrous. Recognizing, and reacting to it in a timely manner are impossibilities though, so expecting them to acknowledge this issue and handle it quickly already has been proven to not be in the cards. That's normal policy though regarding all problems in the game except for issues involving the CM. When the CM is affected, it provokes instant fixes. Shows you what is most important to BW. It's not the gameplay, folks. It's why truly gamebreaking bugs have been tolerated and left in the game for months on end, while any CM problem is almost instantaneously fixed or dealt with. Have fun!
  3. I remember, it was 5+ years ago for me. It's time to accept the real present state of the game and either support it as it crumbles and continues to erode or jump ship. For me, it just comes down to pros and cons. I find the game has far more cons than pros, so for me there's no reason to log in and play anymore. The robust character outfit system no longer is good enough icing on the cake for me to deal with all the other bad things that occur in the actual gameplay of SWTOR. It's hard to pinpoint where it went wrong, due to the amount of incompetency and other factors that lead to how SWTOR was managed over the years. You know, it's funny. Imagine being a game company and being handed the Star Wars IP, and handed the keys to the biggest, baddest Star Wars game of all time, yet finding a way to squabble it all away. Imagine that! The level of stupidity, incompetency, and greed, I am sure greed has something to do with a lot of the mismanagement too, just things are going on we have no idea about. Fact is, they been sitting on a goldmine, but instead of using resources to mine it, they decided to use resources to go look for other mines instead. BW and EA have done this. They took all their resources and went searching for new mines instead of using them on this here goldmine of a game. BW totally lost the opportunity of a lifetime in the gaming world to not just make a game, but to really create something special and long lasting. The truth is the game is just a corpse of itself now. I know people will want to defend the game and pretend my critical comments are off base, none of us enjoy talking about it's terrible present condition. If some enjoy it, love it, that's ok. But the majority of us know and recognize the lost potential and opportunity squandered here. Time to face reality, and acknowledge the truth here.
  4. Right, I thought to myself, Xord just might be more cynical than myself... Even more cynical than CynicalSteve!!!??
  5. *puts on tinfoil hat* The Illuminati have favored World of Warcraft since EQ2 was rushed out too soon, forcing them to have to play WOW which eventually found a cult-like following in the Illuminati as many of the members got addicted to WOW and have ever since been nothing less than complete WoW addicts. Some have even faulted this chronic gaming addiction for the Illuminati's steady decline in world domination. Where the Illuminati once were the real puppetmasters on the earth, that position reportedly is now held by the Bilderberg Group. The Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission are considered ahead of the Illuminati now, too. Truly are dark days for the Illuminati, dark days indeed. TL;DR In reality, the Illuminati are DDOSing SWTOR in fear that Steam has made the game so popular that it is hurting WOW, their all-time favorite MMO of all times.
  6. Unfortunately that's the way of the world though. ^ We are forced to rely on them and in theory they supposedly work for us, however! It's pretty clear we work for them now. In fact, chances are if you need them for back up, you are going to be out of luck, they are not going to be there for you when you really need them! In a nutshell, it's a hard pill to swallow but our reality is there is no other way anyway, even if we wanted another way. There's just no way.
  7. Wow, this statement really surprised me for some reason. lol
  8. I think "equating" is far too strong of a word to use, I only see a similarity in writing styles nothing more or less. Very analytical in how you present your ideas and thoughts, that's what I meant to say.
  9. When it's recommended you queue dodge to get a higher rating by some of the most experienced ranked players on the game, you know it's broken. This right here alone proves how pointless ELO and rating is in ranked. Nothing would be lost if they totally renovated the entire scoring system, just get rid of the rating system it doesn't work, period. All rating and ELO on this game does is encourage even more BS shenanigans and cheating for pixel rewards. Queue dodging should not be the accepted norm in ranked, let alone all the other shenanigans that go on. w/e though. Dead game mode is dead game mode. RIP ranked.
  10. I see premades nearly every match, at least one side or the other will have a premade. I don't care, it's been that way for years though. Maybe when you play premades aren't very active?
  11. Long time crafter here. I gave up on crafting when they destroyed it with 6.0. Wasn't it just recently, 6.0 when they completely trashed crafting? I can't keep track of the bad design change patches anymore, because everyone of the large updates over the past 3 years have done nothing but made the game less enjoyable. They have systematically made conquest, crafting, and ranked PVP all substantially worse with bad design changes with the last three large updates. As far as crafting goes though, I honestly have no idea what they are trying to accomplish with crafting. All they have done is made it more tedious, and completely impractical to try crafting anything useful due to extreme mat costs and rarities. Simply put, crafting is not worth the effort in anyway.
