  1. I'm currently leveling a Juggernaut (level 47 right now) and have already leveled a sith sorc to 50. So I think I can atleast compare a bit even tho it's range versus melee. I leveled 1-37ish as Veng with Quinn out most of the time until the early 30s and switched to Vette then. With Quinn you basically don't have to stop ever and can just keep killing albey slower than with a DPS Companion. With a DPS Companion you have to stop and take breaks to get HP back quite often. I switched to Rage at around 37 since with automatic crits on Smash and lots of bigger pulls it felt alot safer and faster. at 46 I switched to Immortal since I had to stop after every single pack to regen HP and I had quite alot of issues with elites on Voss, not to mention there are those massive strong mobs that hurt you insanely (they do more damage than elites, but die faster ofc). With Immortal and a DPS pet you don't have to take alot of breaks and the kill times are only slightly worse than double dps combos. BUT you can basically not die. Elites are cake, the big ones that hurted me on the rage spec badly just get annihilated (and deflected ). The biggest advice I can give you tho is to get moddable gear for quinn/vette they share the same armor type and stats (cunning) so you can strip of most gear and switch fast to a healer or dps companion that's uptodate gearwise without much hassle. I prefered a ranged dps over Jaessa for that reason and that I don't like to have a companion stand in AoE damage alot and just go plop. Keep in mind that I have been using artifact might hilts all the way since my sorc is Artifice, if you get alot of problems with a dps spec since you can't get that massive boost so easily it might even be better to switch to an Immortal build and see how well you. Hope that helped you a bit.
  2. I just did it today on my Jugg and there was at most 3 Rockets up at the same time, so had always the time to look for the one rocket that doesn't steam and just move there.
  3. There needs to be the option to have 3 Lower bars (dont even start me with paging, when the page-able bars are the left right and lower bottom bars ....) Even tho there are "enough" bars, those to the sides are rather useless for me. I don't stare at the top left of my screen to see if cooldown/ability X is ready now, see it's not then look to the right thats not ready either so I do look to the bottom two.
  4. First of all I would lower the downtime by either mounting after a fight or dismissing your companion and resummoning. Saves you quite a bit of time if you are yourself at full hp. I haven't checked if skills of companions propperly save the state of activation now as it should. but if it does, CC is your friend. Turn of AoE abilities of khem or your companion of choice when you have a strong mob in there. CC the strong and burn down the small ones. Keep using your stuns as often as possible, as you/companion will take less damage thus less downtime. Interrupt! This seems obvious but my experience was, that after each area you are in has the same "type" of mobs. After a few pulls you know what abilities they have and which hurt and interrupt those.
  5. I made a minor mistake here, should update it. Andronikus has +2 Slicing crit and +2Underworld Trading crit. I think I just got a bit confused since I played my Sith assasin yesterday which has Underworld Trading. It's actually Talos that has: +5 Treasure Hunting Efficiency +5 Archaeology Critical If I understand this system right, Efficiency only means it finishes missions faster.
  6. You have a chance on rare gemstones from Treasure Hunting. I have read, that you can only get them from bountiful/rich yields and the bought purple mission discoveries. I usually didn't have issues getting enough of them for my personal crafts and maybe one or two more crafts I either gave to guildmates or sold on the GTN. It helps to have Andronikos doing those missions for those crits (have only read those too, but those perks should have a use atleast).
  7. I went with Artifice and the fitting crew skills. Especially with all the custom gear you can keep 2 slots up to date through out the whole leveling phase. And with reverse engineering hilts you have a good chance to get purple colored hilts. I try and get one of those every 8-10 levels and that way you have an insane statboost to go with. I tried going with Weaving, but that's basically only good for a single slot once you have orange parts for most slots. Cybertech is quite good too with mods and implants (not sure about implants might be earpieces)
