  1. Do we know if there are any new ships being added? I haven't seen a new one in a while, and haven't heard any talk about new ones coming soon.
  2. Primarily I'm looking on my Imperial character. I play GSF starting around 9pm EST. I have the following ships mastered: Strike Fighters: Quell, Gladiator Bombers: Onslaught, Razorwire Gunships: Demolisher, Mangler Scouts: Blackbolt, Ocula I'm around 50k req away (each) from mastering the following (which I'm actively piloting now): Strike Fighter: Imperium Bomber: Decimus Gunship: Jurgoran Scout: Bloodmark I don't have a strong ship preference, I enjoy playing all types. I also have a Republic toon that I play less frequently (I've only mastered: Ocula, Novadrive, Quarrel, Rampart & Enforcer, though I'm close on Strongarm and Warcarrier and my Spearpoint isn't bad). I've done operations and may join in if there's space and the timing is right. Imp side I have: Sorc(Heal), Jug (tank), BH (DPS), and Agent (in theory PVP heals). Pub side I have: Trooper (DPS), Gunslinger (DPS), Sentinel (DPS), Consular (Tank). All max lvl; Imp side is op geared, Pub side is not. I am a subscriber, with all the unlocks I'd wanted (and the ability to get what I might find I need).
  3. When I log out of a character, I get the big headshot of them on the ship, but no UI to select another character, log out, quit, etc. Just the picture.
  4. Exactly right. Same reason the HK unlock is 1 mil credits, to drive people towards the CC option. Printing solutions is one thing, manufacturing problems and then printing solutions is a whole new level...
  5. If it's per week, I stand corrected, I had been going by Dulfy's post which had them as dailies. I haven't gotten a chance to do the new ones yet on live so I can't confirm.
  6. I'm also curious if it'll have an impact on Group Finder queues. 5 BH Comms for a 30 min FP or 12 BH Comms for 30 Minutes of space combat. For those with limited play times (especially DPS who sit in the queue longer) it could be attractive.
  7. There will be an impact, it should start to depress the price of the Stabilizers as increased supply enters the market, given that, once people can do the new missions, they'll be netting 240 Fleet comms in 30 minutes, rather than the former 100 Comms in 70 minutes. The increased access to BH comms could also reduce the demand on the grade 27 crafted stuff.
  8. This is exactly my concern as well. The other thing that bothers me here is that they didn't just take an existing obstacle and then give you a P2W path around it ... they created a new obstacle, and gave you a P2W path around it.
  9. The new space missions are a good source of black hole and fleet commendations. As such, they could have a fair effect on advancement (through BH Gear) and the Economy (through Grade 7 Boxes). My understanding from Dulfy's post was that it's 30 minutes of space missions for: 12 Black Hole Commendations 30 Daily Commendations 240 Fleet Commendations The old ones, assuming you did just the last two (since they had the best rate of return), was 18 minutes for: 0 Black Hole Commendations 2 Daily Commendations 40 Fleet Commendations (If you spent the whole 73 Mintues doing all space missions you'd get 100 Comms but I never bothered doing all of them, given the Comms you get for the time you put in) The rate of return for the time you put in is much higher for the new missions, which would explain why people didn't care about space before, but may well care about them now.
  10. I still see the old quests, they don't appear to be gone to me. That being said, even with them it's still a grind. You can do an hour of Space / Day and net 100 Fleet comms, or, more realistically, 20 minutes for 45 Comms. That's 14-30 days of doing the missions every day to get the Armor and two weapon upgrades. Or, just pay real world money ... This is a bad precedent.
  11. This is Pay To Win, plain and simple. I'm extremely disappointed.
  12. I was hoping the free coins would also be a "Here's some free coins, come back and spend them" rather than just a "thank you for still being subscribed". Lure them back in, basically. The first coins are free. Don't get me wrong, I dig that they appreciate that I'm still subscribing. I was just hoping my friend would have some free coins to lure him back in. And I don't think the idea of him receiving coins in any way devalues the coins I'll receive as a subscriber. So, I get what they're doing, I just don't think it's a super idea, and that a small tweak would be a good thing. I think they should lure him back in with some free coins. That's all.
  13. My friend and I both started playing this game in beta. A couple months ago, he unsubbed, but I kept my subscription active. Now that the game is going F2P he's considering coming back. I'll have a pile of free cartel coins, but I'm planning to maintain my subscription, so I'll probably just spend it on cosmetic items, and maybe some XP boosts for my 6th+ characters. My hope was that, whilst he won't re-sub, that he'd have a pile of coins to get around some of the F2P limitations and do some Flashpoints, Ops, etc with me. Then I read this: Is BW/EA really expecting him to re-sub temporarily in order to get those coins? Because that ain't gonna happen. In fact, I suspect that he's going to get ticked off and not bother to come back at all. I'd urge BW/EA to reconsider: If you want to draw people back to the game with F2P, this decision is a roadblock.
