  1. Yes to x-server group finder. for those blabbering about it destroys community I have a question: what's the community like on a dead server? I don't want to be sitting in a LFG queue for 2 hours because the tool is only searching on my dead server....that's just the same as me shouting "LFG" If you care so much about community, join/create a guild and make that your community
  2. still playing around with it as i feel it is a bit cluttered but here it is: http://i653.photobucket.com/albums/uu255/Uzilara/Screenshot_2012-04-13_22_35_40_809000.jpg
  3. omg, is this serious??? cause i didn't notice any sarcasm in that post....dude you got to be kidding right?
  4. Think a more likely answer to the question why they ignored the topic of server merges, is that if they start talking about server merges, it means they admit their number of subscriptions is dropping, which is bad news for EA and the shareholders. I honestly believe it will be a long time before we'll see server merges.
  5. lots of responses...thanks for that I see that several people suffer from the same thing I do. So my mind is made up, Diablo 3 next month and then Guild Wars 2....so I'll be unsubscriping from SW-ToR and maybe come back in a couple of months when there is more content to do. Best of luck in game and outside game to all of you.
  6. Wanted to ask how frequent you still log in to SW-TOR as I played the game almost every evening during the first months but lately I don't find a good reason to logon anymore. Most evening guild has like max 2-3 ppl online except on raid night....can't find a group to do HMs via general chat or the LFG comment....after getting all 3 rakata pieces with grinding dailies, i'm totally sick of running dailies and PVP is not my thing... could level another alt but as only the class quests are different for each class and that's about 10% of the total leveling experience, I've kinda seen all planets and planet quests after running through them with 2 characters. So yea, SW-TOR is turning into the game i logon on to maybe twice a week to do a raid and for the rest of the time forget about it, just like the last year I played WoW, but I didn't thought I would hit that barrier so soon. Anyone else having a similar experience?
  7. your health is fine i think, what's more important to a tank are the defensive stats: defense, shield rating & absorb rating
  8. Short answer: No Long answer: only using it for companions...had my orange gear filled up with lv 50 mods from dailies with a proper mix of defense - shield & absorb rating ( i play jugg tank). and that orange gear was more or less the same as tionese. now running around in full columi (except mainhand) and there as well, i exchanged some mods for better distribution of tanking stats. Edited: block rating DOH, must be absorb rating of course
  9. speak for yourself pls, you are not 'the community'"....if swtor would incorporate elements from Wow like LFG tool, summoning stone at instances, combat log and probably some other tools, it would be a better MMO than it currently is. and a MMO of the year 2012 instead of a game from 2006
  10. all this is just showing examples that some people will behave in a bad way and that's what you get in a multi-player online game...just like you have "good " and "bad" people in the real world, you'll have those in mmo's as well. and honestly, if you can't live with this in a computer game, how do you get out of bed each morning in the real world?
  11. i really don't understand the opposition towards a x-server LFG tool. what are the most often heard complaints aboout x-server LFG tool? 1/ it destroys server community erm sorry, but there is hardly a community on my server...most planets have like 20 people on them during primetime with fleet about 80-100 people...general chat is dead except for the occassional "LF healer"-question. And I suspect similar or worse numbers on the majority of the servers. For someone not in a guild that's doing operations and flashpoints, it is very hard in getting a group and as such building a circle of friends with whom to do operations & flashpoints. If you want to be part of a community, join a guild with sufficient people and turn that guild into your community as this is the evolution that MMO's over the last years went through: a community is formed in a guild by it's members who spend their time on TS or Ventrilo together while doing stuff ingame, not by a bunch of people you never exchanged a single word with. 2/ x-server LFG tool promotes ninja looting, jerks, bad manners, bad players(?). Honestly, this is like shooting the messenger that brings bad news....don't blame a software tool for the behavior of people..blame the people or their parents, blame the current state of the civilization if you want, but don't blame a software tool that simply puts you with other random people together to play together for an hour max. 3/ without x-server LFG tool, people won't ninja loot as they will get a bad rep. they went into that instance together with you, did as much work and spend as much time as you...so on 1 side, they are entitled as much as you on an item. if they indeed ninja an item, just ignore the player and move on...or is it really worth spending your time with shouting for hours in fleet or QQ'ing on these forums 'player x is ninja'. I would welcome a x-server LFG tool as it will allow me to do flashpoints when it best suits me alone timewise and not when it suits me and 3 other people I happen to know on my server.
  12. very interesting read....when looking at the columi set for tanks, i noticed it is quite heavily on defense rating and very little absorption rating. is this a mistake of bioware? am i better off trading some of the 56 mods with defense with lower level mods that have more absorption?
  13. think that the new raid in patch 1.2 will require 2 tanks, at least the first boss there which is a duo and where tanks need to switch boss from time to time (at least that's what I saw on some guy's livestream).
  14. I would only ask for Bioware to change 1 thing: if you don't have the class in your flashpoint or operation group, make sure that no items can drop for that class as it is a total waste of time of the entire group. keep it random but make sure that only loot is dropped that is actually for one of the classes in the group. WoW (here we go ) had the same issue a long time ago where in horde raid groups we had paladin items drop (when paladins weren't playable on horde side yet)...they fixed this so why can't this be done by Bioware? Is it because Bioware wants us to keep grinding the same content over and over? I surely hope not, cause I'm burned out on grinding the same raid for months (it's the main reason I quit wow)
