  1. That's not what I'm saying, though. Getting a new one, as in, progressing with your gear. It's not about mods or how the lightsaber looks, it's how it's never used in combat. It's just in your hand. What I'm saying is, make it float, enable it for ranged attacks; it goes swinging on its own.
  2. This must've been said a million times, but it would be so ******. It would most likely appeal to kotor fans (traya) and actually enable us to USE the lightsaber for something, with, let's say, ranged attacks. To be honest, I don't know the works behind the machine, but I imagine this standard way was kept due to the how the skeletons or models works in this game. But, it would be awesome if we saw some small touches on the classes that be, as we're not getting new ones (seemingly). This is just another nerds suggestion, but it would really fit the theme and as of right now It's pretty annoying getting new sabers that you never use. For me it's very anti-climatic to get a new weapon. That says a lot in an MMORPG.
  3. how dareth thou giveth me something to w'rketh f'r. . . me. . . thy most loyal s'rvant?! i haveth whin'd and whin'd and suff'r'd through the miniscule migrations, yet thou maketh me w'rketh with these pesky....pesky....others! doeth thou not understandeth the agony thou casteth upon me? oh. . . i can seeth the lighteth. . . . mineth dilligence, how bitt'r the endeth!
  4. STOP WHINING. Holy ****. This plague is actually something that is annoying. That's the point. It's a plague. If you put stuff into your game and it doesn't move your interest or feelings in any shape or form, it's shallow and empty. We actually need more of this. New stuff, though.
  5. Lol. Just lol. So you want to force people who play hybrids into one role for no reason more than that you're bad? Or am I missing something here? The combat system is not complicated. What. So. Ever.
  6. What? Why does it have to be a "complete overhaul"? And how does it bring a "massive nerf" when you don't even seem to understand my original post? I'm not saying turn sorcs into jugg, I'm saying implement a way for sorcs to actually use their lightsaber for SOMETHING. And, in my opinion, the best route would be like Darth Traya. Make it hoover. Attack, buff, proc, whatever - the saber would be close to your target during this attack/buff/proc and then return. Like I said, I never said I had the best solution, but I do know entirely what I'm asking for. Right now, it just looks stupid.
  7. Been over to my rep characters more now than my imperial ones (gets tiresome when everything you do is something close to a psychopath) and it just seems empty? No one doing arenas?
  8. The people answering player questions on these forums are the masters of non-answer and the platitudinous. Loosely gathering words to... I don't even know - are they trying to convince themselves or us with it? Thanks for the info, though, Nala.
  9. ...does this bother anyone else? I mean, yeah, it's a force-user and a sith, so it's a given the class needs a lightsaber... but to have no animations with it? And don't say "Sorcs have melee attacks, too!", yes, but they should never be used. The only time the class actually "uses" the lightsaber is when you get attacked; animation declares reflects, etc. And yeah, I know this will probably never happen, but I was thinking... what if the sorc used the lightsaber as a conduit of the force? What if... Darth Traya style: http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/6/66893/1226740-darth_traya.jpg Now, I really don't know where or how to put this in, but it always felt so strange how they're just holding it for no apparent reason. So, instead... what if we kept the range mechanics and actually had some kind of hoovering action going on? Some attack or mode for DPS sorcs to lift and attack with the saber using the force?
  10. You're not alone, man. I, too, have tried most of the MMOs on the market. I was here at launch for SWToR, and man, it was chaotic. No end game, balancing issues, glitches.... you name it, so I left for a while and came back now. It's great. As long as you can find the class and story for you, you will have a great time. I think immersion is a stronger word than we make it up to be... it doesn't have to be this ultra-RP thing whatsoever. I believe immersion is a lost thing in games today, even the slightest bit. Something to make you feel invested in whatever it is you're doing. In this game, you get your ship, companions, story and a nice and smooth engine. Combat feels very fluent and I still love PvP in this game, too. What I'm trying to say is I think immersion plays on the smallest of interest and expands from there. If you ever find yourself feeling a game is empty or shallow, it's usually this. People usually refer to it as "felt like WoW". Now, instead, you refer to it as "what's next in store for me?". I think that's important. Myself having trouble of choosing Republic or Empire, Jedi Sentinel or Sith Assassin... 'cause I'm morally invested in this game. Anyway, great having you here.
  11. Hello! I hope this is the right section to ask some questions regarding the Assassin and the Vanguard at 55. These are the two classes I want to play, but time limits me to only one. Also my only desire at the moment is to play DPS (kind of a DPS-meter-maniac.) Basically this: How are the two classes in PVP? How are the two classes in PVE? Utility for the two? (both for flashpoints, arena, operations and normal warzones) Story? No spoilers, but just give me a hint on what you think. Companions? Just short if you especially enjoyed a special character at a certain level (I already know what kind of companions they are, just not the story or personality.) I'm a founder who enjoyed this game immensely, but had to leave 'cause of how we had absolutely nothing going for us back then. Now, it really looks like it's been shaping up. Aaaand, this small thing about playing Empire, as it's not something I have done before but if I'm rolling a force-user, it'll be a sith... is it possible to retain a light side sith and still have a... oh, I don't know... coherent storyline and character? I think that's all for now. Thanks!
  12. Hello, as the title insinuates, I quit a while ago and now I've resubbed to check out the new expansion and updates. I quit due to the many glitches and problems we had at fresh 50, but not so much the actual problems but the silence we got from Bioware. I've asked around a bit, checked out some reviews and streams... I must say, it seems like the game got itself together. And, I've come here to ask... is the new expansion good? Content? Gameplay? General dev-to-feedback relationship? Thanks edit: Oh my god, look at my sig... I remember the screaming now.
