  1. Hey guys, I'm returning to the game after taking a longer break of just doing casual play and a shorter break of not playing at all. I was a hardcore player from beta/launch until the end of 2013 when my kids were born and the guild I was in disbanded shortly after that which made it hard to return to hardcore playing. During that time I was the main Gunslinger of the guild Inconceivable on the republic side where we did operations 1-2 times weekly. We completed nightmare mode up to TFB and HM S&V before it ended. In the past I have played EverQuest and Everquest 2, Vanguard: SOH, RIFT and I am currently playing FFXIV as well. I never did play WoW, not sure why. Now that I have some more free time I am looking for an active guild to do Flashpoints, Operations, as well as PvP (casual mostly, maybe ranked). On the republic side I have a Vanguard, Gunslinger, and Guardian. On the imp side I have a Mercenary, Operative, and Marauder (will be using the 12xp to do Assassin and Sage next then who knows). My main class has been my Gunslinger. My general playtime is after 9pm CST, but can do earlier once a week or so. So what can I bring to your guild? Besides my experience and skill, I am always willing to help out a friend. I am very friendly and full of humor. Oh, I also have a ton of credits. If you're an active guild that has a good player base and you think I'm a good fit please feel free to contact me. My main Gunslinger on the republic side is Draxe.
  2. I also noticed that the GTN is in fact bugged. If you sort by unit price you get the arrow indicating you are sorting by unit price. Do a new search with the window open and the results are randomized, but the arrow is showing that you are sorted by unit price when it is not.
  3. I know how to sort by lowest first. It's a reflex at this point. The fleet is suffers real bad lag though and it can throw your sorting off. The trick plays on how your brain reads numbers. I stare at financial numbers all day long and I'm used to normal structure of numbers being right-aligned and either all numbers have decimals or none do. Your brain doesn't simply process the number when you look at a list in this format. Yes in the end it is my fault for buying from the GTN when it was late and I was tired, but a better UI would have greatly reduced the chances of this occurring. If I could store credits in my hold then there would be no way for me to drop 20 million without going to my hold and specifically withdrawing that much. If you are supposed to search and then double-click the Unit Price twice each time, then why not just make it that way from the start? Process improvement is eliminating repetitive steps. When many people make the same mistake then the system needs to be looked at for improvements. When a car accident occurs it's the driver's fault. When car accidents keep happening in the exact same location they go make safety improvements like adding a stop sign or something. I decided to start playing again after the fun of the Cantina Tour in Anaheim. I'm not asking for my money back or the guy to get banned or anything, but losing 20,000,000 credits a couple hours after you started again kinda takes all the fun out of it and just saying that improvements can be made so others don't keep suffering the same fate.
  4. I didn't say scam anywhere in my post. But players are using flaws in the GTN to make their prices appear deceptive. I simply stated things that other MMOs have done for long time that would reduce/eliminate this occurring. But SWTOR doesn't even have commas for currency when doing a player trade.
  5. Every other MMO has these things... SWTOR has a bad GTN interface and is setup so that people can take advantage of it. There is no reason to show decimal points in unit price. I'm guessing people would still say people need to look if they didn't use commas or decimals and people accidentally spent 5000000 instead of 500000. Sure it would technically be your fault for not reading the number right, but improvements could be made to help prevent people from making mistakes.
  6. Same thing happened to me. Price said 19,000.00 so I bought item. It then said I paid 19,000,000.
  7. I do, I just think it's poor design. Cost range setting on GTN isn't static. Have to set each time. No way to cancel a purchase before you've accepted the item in mail even though you should have that hour before the seller receives his credits. Can't store credits in your hold so you can't accidentally spend more than you are carrying. Pretty basic
  8. This just happened to me as well. I was absolutely sure of the price when I bought something, but after I purchased it suddenly changed.
  9. They could allow storing creds in the cargo hold. Why do I need to be walking around with 50,000,000 credits?
  10. So this how my night back went: Started playing again Needed some new augments Went on GTN to buy circuits Sorted by price to show lowest Bought lowest Realized that the GTN glitched again and didn't sort by lowest, lowest price contained a comma, but was made to match the other prices with decimals. Lost 20,000,000 credits Went to put remaining credits in Cargo Hold so I don't accidentally spend that much again. Found out I can't store credits in the Cargo Hold which would have prevented me from dropping that many credits. Realized I quit due to poor design of game Cancelled sub
  11. Except I didn't know I was going to be offline. I guess I'll tell my wife next time she goes into preterm labor to just hold them in cause I gotta get stuff off the GTN. The system is terrible, a 30 day period is not enough and nowhere does it even say that. A simple shared escrow with GTN slots would suffice. Guess this is the straw that broke the dewback. Lack of stuff to do and losing millions of creds has soured my taste for the game and I unsubbed after being subbed since the start. My guild that used to raid 8-16 man nightmare modes twice a week since launch has died. I always kept out hope for SWTOR, but sadly it just isn't what it should have been.
  12. I had a bunch of items up on the GTN and then wasn't able to log on for a while due to real life issues. When I finally hopped back in the game everything I had on the GTN that didn't sell was apparently mailed back to me and then deleted because I didn't collect it in time. The items were worth millions of credits, this seems like a terrible way to handle auction returns. Can't they just go into like an escrow hold with the item limit shared with the GTN limit? Seems like a better way to handle it than just deleting the items.
  13. You were writing a ticket for 20-30 minutes? That's a lot of time wasted to get a TLDR canned response.
  14. Amazon doesn't charge me tax. Newegg doesn't charge me tax. Anything I've bought online from a store out of state hasn't charged me tax, but EA charges me tax. ...Why?
