  1. Awesome TY I moved your entry to the protected area. Thanks for the contribution.
  2. The game definitely is not coming to an end. I think they will get to the content the various people want such as raids and pvp. Knowing of the release of the last 3 chapters in Star Wars, I'm sure they focused on the needs and aspects of the game for the influx of new players which they were hoping for and for which they got. I agree to some point the game is in maintenance mode but at the same time they are introducing new content but more towards the needs of the new players of which the majority of the influx in revenue lies, I believe as time progresses they will add new ops, PVP and other end game things. Things to consider: Previously the game was failing not generating enough money to invest a lot of money into developing the game further. With the announcement of the last three chapters of star wars they took a risk and invested more money and came out with KOTFE. ATM the staff is quite small for development and customer support. After a period of time passes they will look at the profit margin to decide on future budgets. If budgets increase due to profit margin, odds are the staff will increase and the rest of the content people want will come but it will take time. I think the end game stuff people want will eventually come tho not as soon as they would like as currently their focus is on new players and as veterans may not like this it makes sense on the business side of things. I also think the end game stuff won't be as far off as some people might think as well. They have a real chance of not only recovering this game with 2 more movies coming out but actually reversing things and get it to the point where it can thrive. It's going to take time and stages, smart decisions in development, and constructive feed back from us. What won't help is relentless ranting without offering something of value that could help move things in a positive direction, developers will be less likely to communicate with us as much or take the things we say seriously. Voice your opinions on things that are bad, but do it in a way that can lead to progression and lead to more communication. With a small staff it's going to take time and mistakes are going to be made, hopefully as time progresses and their budget increases their staff will as well which will lead to more of the content we all want and less bugs on releases. On our end we can say thank you when it's due and be constructive with our criticism when we aren't happy, offer suggestions and thoughts that will help them create the game we want. If you were working for a game company that was understaffed be it support , development, PA. Would you work harder for people when all they do is whine and complain even when you do the best you can with what you got or people that call you out when you make a mistake but in a mature and constructive manor , providing information on how things can be improved and thanking you when you do something right. I'm not saying people aren't constructive and offer thanks cause a lot of people do how ever there is way too much whining, flaming and trolling that could impede the process towards a better game.
  3. Thanks for the update, as well as making it sooner than towards the end of the month as originally intended.
  4. Just a friendly and last warning i make about this in this post, people have gotten banned for improper use of referral codes. I'd Hate to see you possibly being one of them. Not saying it will happen or not happen but you can go on reddit or in these forums and see where people have posted they got banned because of it. Doing so right after a guide was made to show the proper way of doing it not a smart move. I'd remove it before they do. This is a highly visible post and gets looked at a lot by the moderators not a good place to violate forum rules that could lead to stuff penalties.
  5. First off I'd like to state that this is meant to be a constructive post which I hope leads to a WIn Win for both SWTOR and it's players. So let's try to keep this as constructive as possible. I know people are upset but lets keep this to suggested solutions and what you would like to see and what you wouldn't like to see. Having it riddled with flaming and troll remarks will just add clutter and get nowhere. Will also ask for some occasional remarks from the developers which is more likely if we keep this clean and constructive. Let's keep this as constructive as possible and maybe we can get this stickied and used as metrics to see what people want and the Developers and Players can work together to provide a method that is good for both sides. ------- It has been obvious that people were happy with the introduction of the Gold, Silver and Bronze packs. This was a great idea that a lot of people were happy with and well maybe some weren't but we can't always please everyone. I personally feel based on responses here, reddit and other places to keep these separate from the regular packs and introduced once a month or every 2 months for a week. It is also obvious that people are not happy with the way Anarchrist Alliance Pack was set up. -------- Based on observation of statements read from various sources: People are not too happy with the odds on the rares and the inclusions of the chance cubes that don't offer what people are looking for in the Specific Pack. I think a lot of people would like the chance cubes removed and leave them as Gold, Silver and Bronze separate from the introduction of new Cartel Packs and the revivals of the old Packs. Cartel Certificates were removed people were saving them and close to getting what they wanted from the certificate vendor I think people would like these added back into the packs. Leave the Gold, Silver and Bronze packs the way they were and not inside of the normal packs bring them out once a month or once every 2 months for a week. Keep them as they are and separate from new Cartel Packs and reintroduction of old cartel packs. Bring back Cartel Certs as a rare chance. -------- Some people may not agree with what I wrote and that's fine, here is your chance to say exactly how you feel the packs could work. There are a ton of unhappy trolling, it's understandable people are upset, but that approach isn't going to get us anywhere so let's keep this clean and constructive and maybe we can get a clear metrics of whats wanted, not wanted that might lead to something that makes the majority happy . So here is your chance make a reply. Say what you are were happy with so they know what to leave alone or reincorporate. Say what you aren't and weren't happy with so they know what to leave out. Make you're suggestion on how you would like them to be. I made a link to this post at Reddit /r/swtor to gain more visibility. To view the comments left there: Cheers. Dorjee
  6. Referral Guide: How to use the Referral Code the right way in the forums. Added Note People ave gotten banned for improper use of referral codes. Getting un-banned is a very difficult thing. I'd hate if any one got banned for it. This is a friendly warning. Keep in mind this is a highly visible post that moderators keep an eye on, not a smart place to violate forum rules that could lead to stiff penalties. It's understandable people want to get their referral codes out there. There is a wrong way, right way and better way to do this. Posting your referral code directly to a post with your referral code is the wrong way, do it too many times and it could lead to undesired action from moderators. Putting it in your signature is the allowed and correct way to do this. Helping people out by creating guides or helping people with questions they have while having it in your signature is the best way to go about it. You help someone they are going to be more likely to use your code. Posting referral links directly in post is not allowed, refer to the quote below: You can use this link to create or change your forum signature: http://www.swtor.com/community/profile.php?do=editsignature Best method for getting people to use your referral is: 1) Put it in your signature. 2) Make some guides that help people out 3) When you see people asking questions in the forums help them out with good answers 4) Providing people with information that helps them is the best way to get people to actually use your code and they will see your link in your signature. It's also good to not just provide a link to your code but also a link to the: Benefits and Rules for using Referral Codes This is the best and proper method of going about it, that helps out the community, you and the people you are hoping will use your code. Cheers, DorjeeVajra
  7. Welcome to the forums. Wanted to inform you that you need to put your referral link in your signature not replies or posts, refer to the Referral Guide in the following reply.
  8. Bredlix just shared this at Reddit.com/r/swtor. If you use chrome browser on your smartphone the code will be visible. I just tried this on my Iphone and I can see my code checked on my computer to see if the bug was gone still can't see the code on the computer. So if you wan to get your code give chrome on your smart phone a try. Not sure if this works on other Smartphones or browsers but I can verify that it works with Iphone and chrome browser.
  9. Recording with a phone was even faster than using Screen Video capture BTW. For those with a decent video quality on their phone pretty simple and effective. It's also easier than for some people to go on line and look for a video screen capture app if they don't already have one. For those that already have Video Screen capture software you may want to use your software over the camera.
  10. How to get you're referral code when the referral system is bugged. Ok this is a bit tricky if you have never written down your code before but it is possible altho a bit of a pain. Goto this link: https://account.swtor.com/user/refer if you click on refresh page you will see you're referral code flash for a second before it disappears, you can keep refreshing till you get the whole code if you can register it that quick with your naked eye ( might be possible for some speed readers ). Option 1 If you have a video screen capture it's a lot easier you can start recording your screen while hitting refresh a few times. Go and watch the video you recorded a frame at a time or in slow motion till you see your code. Copy it down and save that link. This is how I did it when I was looking for my code and it was down or bugged. Option 2 and I just tested this use the video recorder on your phone start recording the video of your screen and hit refresh a few times. Go through the video frame by frame till you see the image with your referral code. Remember to keep a copy of your referral code for future use once you get it. Enjoy, DorjeeVajra
