    Lol I was tring to be sarcastic, my post here makes about as much sense as most people legit posts.
  2. Yeah but, those guys are not tanks they dont have the defense/absorb to live long with guard up. Even with a healer healing my tank I drop fast if I have my guard on a priority target like a ball carrier or a healer Do the math whats 50% of the damage being done to a target by 6-8 people and having limited range I can move due to 15 yard range on guard. Taunt and saber ward save my *** for a bit but, with no healer its very very hard to live long as a tank using guard properly.

    the real reason they are not mirrored... Trees- Merc- get tracer tree, heal tree, dps tree Commando- grav tree, tank tree, dps tree Ability scaling- Mercs end tree is heat seeker missile that gets massive damage boosts from heat sig, and the rest of the tree Commandos get Pulse fire which is weaker then tracer at end tree Resulting in Mercs having to spec 31 points to get Heat seeker and limiting the points they can spend in heal tree Commandos can skip pulse fire and get extra points in tank tree Here are example spec's Merc- http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#300bfRZMIkbRrdRkcz.1 Commando http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801hMGobZrsMrodfk0c.1 end result mercs get- damage and heals Commando get- damage, tanky both good but, very diffrent
  4. Forget the gear gained pvp rewards just use Daoc style realm point rewards... KEEP IN MIND THIS IS NOT A PERFECT SYSTEM I AM LISTING JUST A STRONG PLATFORM TO START WITH... Before I link or go on I will say to make it fair for PVE players make all of these things only active in pvp Passive abilities that gain stats- deactivate when in flashpoint/ops and don;t factor in filling non-pvp based mobs Active skills- you already do this but, I will restate for the people that don;t pay attention to in game skills. Make the skills only useable in pvp meaning they only effect other players or yourself when not in a flashpoint/Ops Next part I will address is how to read this before people start looking at charts Daoc used a 12 rank system SWTOR uses a 60 rank system so they will tweek as needed. How to get points: 1. Killing peeps- in Daoc I think you were rewarded about .0025 of a Point for kills (was about 400 kills to get one Realm point for per kills, made farming kills pointless also you got DR on killing the same person only got only counted the one person up to 4 times a day. 2. Small objectives- Capping outlaying smaller PVP objectives took about an hour or 2 to complete in total if you were there for the whole thing you got .25 realm points. It scaled down the less time you participated. 3. Large Objectives- Major world pvp goals (taking over whole ares and holding them major keep busts, relic raids) Think of this like a PVPers raid week schedule took a number of hours to complete and normally was done over course of a few days. Rewarded 1 Realm point on completion/participation. kills- .0025 RP small obj- .25 RP large obj- 1 RP hardcore PVPer's week in world pvp 800 kills 2 RP (works out to about 28 unique players per week you have to kill not hard) 9 small obj 2.25 RP (about 9 hours of work) 2 large obj 2 RP (about 8 hours work with team work/smart play) total time invested in the week 17 hours or (2 hours 25mins a day) totaling 6.25 RP in a solid week of PVP which was equivalent to the time a solid raider put in to prep/raiding.   5. Don't need much lore there are plenty of SW examples of peeps that played the game whit one foot on both sides of the fence. Lando Reaven Mara Jade (if you read expanded universe books) Boba Fett (if you read expanded universe books) Luke Skywalker (if you read expanded universe books) about everyone in the jedi knights game sagas I do think Reaven is the strongest idea given the time line we already see the reavenites maybe go with something along those lines but, more in line with how Revean actually thought. For those that are not familar with Reaven he was a bad mofo force using dude long story short he told the Dark council they were idiots and told the Jedi council they were doing it wrong...
  6. Sorry if I did not make it clear enough when you have 3 factions you don't get the grid lock that 2 factions create. Example: faction 1 is 55% the pop faction 2 is 25% the pop faction 3 is 20% the pop Faction 1 controls world PVP objective X. Faction 2 and 3 team up to topple them attacking from 2 fronts. After a bit faction 2 and 3 start in fighting for control of objective. End result real endless pvp in world objectives Worked in DAOC for years flawlessly Also from my experience in DAOC all the FOTM players will hop between factions trying to be part of the best team leading to a constant shift in faction populations on the PVP side of things. Lets face it faction population does not effect PVE generally speaking, but it can break world/open PVP So adding in a third faction would balance PVP without taking away from the PVE side.
  7. I have mentioned a third faction in a few of my posts here is how it would be easy to implement with out having to change the planets quests. Third faction- neutral Accessible at level 50 You could take your preexisting imp/rep toon after level 50 and choose to go neutral. You would keep the same questing hub that you would have for your starter faction but, you would gain access to a new fleet area (copy and past of rep/imp for simplicity) For all purposes you would count towards your starting faction for city usage but, for all world based objectives you would count for the neutral faction and you would que as neutral I am sure BW plans to add new content regularly so when the first new content patch lands they could tailor a third set of quests and farther sep the neutrals form imp/rep third phases 1. neutrals have their own fleet area/pvp ques/ count as a separate world pvp faction/ can form raids together 2. First content patch start restricting access to old starter stuff and give them new stuff quest/cities ect... 3. First xpac plan for the neutrals to be a part of the system and fill in what ever blanks are left
  8. I agree when they added it to WOW people would mark people that didn't do what they wanted to do AFK. Can't tell you how many times I was stealthed in a tower on my rogue waiting for right moment to ninja a node, when dingle dorf #1 would go errr. err... rogue standing there not doing anything then you get the stupid passify debuff forcing you to attack to avoid being kicked. Then you cant cap node because you were forced into a 1 v 4 situation. Or the other thing I saw was that noob was dumb last game vote him AFK the whole game so he doesn't get anything. It's a fact that MMO's generally speaking are clueless when it comes to anything they are not playing, and lets face it 50% them are still clueless then because they cant read both sentences on their ability. "Having to tell a level 50 tank that his taunt has a PVP effect is fail"
  9. Easy answer gear caps out at 15% expertise in this game so you will never have more then a 15% stat drop off unless your going into level 50 wearing level 40 gear. Rift valor allowed you to get about a 38% stat bonus Wow resilience allowed you to get about a 42% stat bonus differences I have seen on my end I am a BH just hit 48 no gear I have 13k health while a gear 50 BH has 15k the 2k health difference head to head can be easily countered by one good CC/LOS and a better rotation of using your skills
  10. My tracer missile only does about 1000-1400 on a non-geared target and about 800 on a geared target. Also generates 25 heat so with a 1.5 second cast. There are a ton of abilities that hit consistently harder then tracer that I can do. Death from above Power shot Rail shot Unload heat seeker all hit harder then derping tracer, tracer is used to stack armor pen that is all if I want damage I use one of the other 5 abilities I listed. Classes I have seen hit harder on a regular basis then me my biggest hit ever 3018 damage. (Heat seeker with armor pen stacked and armor pen support pack on) Tanks in pvp hit for 3400+ alot Operatives/Smugglers can crit for up to 9k+ on a non geared target there is a SS of the end of match stats showing this somewhere in pvp forums if I can find it I will link. Scorcs lighting can crit harder the my tracer Shadows/assassins can hit harder then me the thing I have going that keeps me up there is tracer X3 at average about 1k per hit to stack armor pen Heat seeker for 2200 3k on crit tracer agaist to get my rail shot buff to 5 stacks 1k rail shot 2200+ unload for a total of 4-6k but, its in damage sections of 300, 500, 600 with like 14 hits total if procs up (proc also given my tracer missile) Hell even sweeping blasters/death from above both my AOE's hit harder then tracer I have seen death from above tick for 1500-1600 per hit and sweeping this about 4-5 times for 500 each hit So to recap... Biggest hit I have gotten as merc currently valor rank 42 is 3018 Tracer missile is about one of the weakest abilities I have its only plus is (armor pen stacking and proc for unload) And I named 3-4 class/specs per side that can hit harder more consistently then me In closing: I can destroy people but, its only if they are dumb and stand there let me stack armor pen and unload all my proced goodies on them Any player with some sense can severely slow my dps out put and give me a run for my money, and no I can not spam heal through most DPS (bad DPS yes but, 1 GOODinterrupt and Im screwed most the time.

Trooper tank tree is paired with their dps tree, BH Have heal/DPS paired so the troopers that have the 90% damage reduction shield are not healers, I know this cuz I play BH my buddy is a rep trooper we constently argue which of us has the advantage he thinks tank+ dps is better I feel dps+ heals is better. Its a flavor thing if you prefer more solo beny skills with your DPS or if you lie kto have dps with the ability to heal self and team mates.

Imp/republic classes are 95% mirrors with mainly animation/name changes for skills. secondly 10 WZ is not a massive amount, I don't understand the mentality of if I am not in full gear in the first week system is broken attitude. Also the 15% exp you gain at cap isn't going to be 100% game breaking well played people with even 5% exp (2-3 gear pieces) can hold their own against full geared people if you out play them. I currently have only 8 exp cuz I am only level 45 and I do just fine against people in almost full gear because I play as a team with my team mates not as a solo I WILL DESTROY YOU ALL SINGLE HANDEDLY In WOW and Rift I agreed it was a gear/comp balance issue in SWTOR from what I have seen it is a learn to play as a team and learn your class your 20k DPS or 25k heals at the end of a 20 min WZ did nothing to contribute to the team. I have been in WZ were me and my friends all break 300k dps or heals and 3/4 of the players in the match on our team(the winning team) don't break 20k heals or dps I am sorry but if you only managed to hit 30 buttons in 20 mins you need to learn to be more active or learn to play better if your on the winning team and can't break 40k or higher dps/heals in 20 mins How do you kill your quest mobs for class quest or flash point mobs I have seen some level 15ish mobs in FP's that have more then 20k health and the die in 60-90 seconds to 3 dps. Giving you beny of doubt gonna say if you soloed then at level 15 would take you 3 times the time to do the damage on your own. Still at level 15 that means you can do 20k dps in about 3-5 mins so why with bolster can you not break 50k in 20 mins? civil war i can see it if you defended whole game but, void star you should be constantly healing/dpsing Look as Screen shots that people post here and look at the bottom half team in their SS.

Seem allot questions about this so thought I would post Huttball: of scores are tied then it defaults to whom has possession of ball when time runs out, if nobody has ball goes off total medals Voidstar: Tied number doors/fields dropped goes off total medals Civil War: never seen a tie safe to assume total medals or who capped first will be the determining factor leaning more towards medals.

    Rifts problem was the over stacking of valor not a premade issue Rift = premade with valor gear > more skilled premade with out as long as exp stays capped at 15% things will not go completely bonckers
