  1. I've been hearing about the attempts to make certain classes more advantageous towards one class and disadvantageous towards others, but I've been wondering which is class supposed to be which? So far it seems snipers are meant to beat marauders and juggernauts while being defenseless against operatives and assassins.
  2. I remember reading a dev post a long, long time ago that the devs realized alacrity was essentially worthless and people preferred the other secondary stats.
  3. I'd be much more willing to purchase a weapon off the GTN if I knew what it actually looked like because the thumbnail is no where near the true representation. It'd probably increase the number of weapons on the GTN too because less people would be trying out boe items to see for themselves.
  4. Stealth scan is handy for the stealth killers in EC, but in PVP it's hit or miss, but 99% of the time is a miss because you can barely ever hit anything. The only time it's really useful is if a sage next to me wants to screw around and use noble sacrifice to pad his stats. It may work as a deterrent, but I'm not too confident about that. Stealth scan should at least stun the stealther if you manage to hit one.
  5. I currently try to get my health as close to exactly 20k as possible as a sort of deterrent when I'm solo guarding a node or door. Now I'm sort of having second thoughts and considering to go the pure DPS root which would drop my health 600 points and increase my power from 570 to 766 (+30 damage, +30 bonus damage.)
  6. As an assault commando I'm technically supposed to be using charged bolts / power shot in my rotation to help reset high impact bolt / rail shot, but I really can't bring myself to do it. It just really, really sucks. Unlike a vanguard's / powertech's ion pulse / flame burst it takes 1.5-2 secs to cast and it doesn't guarantee a plasma cell / combustible gas cylinder proc. So far I've just been spamming hammer / rapid shot because it lets me stay mobile, potentially get a proc, and allows me to regen ammo. My DPS can hit upwards to the high 500ks depending on the match, but I've been wondering if I can do better if I tried using charged bolts / power shot more liberally to try and get HIB / RS off cooldown more often. Any thoughts, tips? P.S. I save tech override and reserve powercell for plasma grenade. Might be better for charged bolts if I'm just single targeting though.
  7. If you want to be taken seriously in PVP just bite the bullet and switch to assault spec. Gunnery is "viable" in pvp of course, but you're just gimping yourself and your team. The few things I missed from the gunnery tree is the half assed stockstrike knockback/interrupt, improved concussive charge, and healing recharge cells. I gladly gave those up though to be able to move and kite my opponents. Being able DPS longer means being able to survive longer and vice versa. I no longer fear operatives or assassins because there's little they can interrupt and I'm actually allowed to turn around and hit back. I didn't switch to assault for a while because I heard how much better vanguards were better in it and because I was too cheap and lazy to respec, but even if assault vanguards are be better than assault commandos, assault commandos are still better than gunnery commandos in pvp. P.S. The main thing we're lacking is a real interrupt, that's undeniable.
  8. Has anyone crunched the numbers or have an opinion on WH Belt/Bracers vs Orange Belt/Bracers with Lv 26 Armoring and WH Mod?
  9. Get rid of nonranked queues. Have a solo ranking and a team ranking. Only allow groups of 8 to verse another group of 8 while all the solo ranked guys are grouped together by their solo rankings. P.S. Cross server team matches would be nice too.
  10. Can biochems reverse engineer war hero implants?
  11. I know that Rakata and Battlemaster set bonuses don't carry over to new shells, but does that mean I can put Battlemaster armoring into a Rakata shell and still keep the Rakata bonus? What if I put a War Hero armoring in?
