  1. Thank you for the replies, ,this was very helpful. Much appreciated.
  2. Hi everyone, just a quick question to which I haven´t found a clear answer in the net: after a season having finished, is it still possible to somehow get season-related items? For example, I never managed to get the Shadow Syndicate to Legend Reputation. You had to hand in the Underworld Syndicate plans. However, since that has been quite some time ago, is there still a way to get these plans? Thanks and Cheers
  3. I think this depends quite a bit on the type of player that you are. I do absolutely agree that the rewards for different flashpoints and operations should vary. This would introduce a higher degree of motivation and it would also be just. I also don´t understand why this never was implemented. However, even so I play all the fps (also the longer ones) or different operations (if possible and if there are groups) in equal manner, because for me gear is secondary. Each fp offers different content and a different experience, you can test your skills in different situations and against different adversaries, you can get achievements, sometimes decorations and similar drops - so for me it is still motivating. And I prefer Ruins of Null or Crisis on Umbara a thousand times than always running the same fps like Hammer Station of Athiss. My recommendation for those that like to play all fps in equal measure: 1) Veteran Fps: Select only those (in groupfinder) that you actually want to play, even if this implies that you won´t get the weekly. Otherwise you will almost constantly have to do the same 2 - 3 fps over and over. 2) Master Mode Fps: here you can select all, because only lv.80 Players can participate and each fps has really the same chance to drop.
  4. Hi everyone, I like the social side of the game when it comes to doing group content (fps, ops etc.), however I can do nicely without the General Chat conversation. I find the general chat most of times extremely annoying and immersion-breaking. However, I have to watch it in order to see who calls out for groups (that is the classical LFG, LFM, or however expressed). So there is no way to avoid general chat (please correct me if I am mistaken). It would be extremely useful if there actually was a (exclusively) content related general chat where people post their grouping request. This would allow players like me to deactivate the "social" general chat for good. Cheers, Tarisknight
  5. Hi everyone, when I queue for flashpoints I usually keep all selected (28/28), because, as I understand it, only like this you get these daily and weekly bonuses (searching for allies, Weekly Veteran Flashpoints etc.). Now I would assume that other players do the same, that is instead of selecting a few selecting all in order to get the rewards. Now the problem is that in almost 90 % of the cases I get always the same flashpoints (Hammer Station, Athiss mostly). Why is that so? Does groupfinder attribute to them a higher probability to "drop", or are players actually selecting them (but then they forego these aforementioned bonusses). In my logic all flashpoints should drop with the same probability. Where exactly is my logic flawed here? Cheers
  6. This is pretty wise advice - much appreciated. I am absolutely aware that, whenever you do something in/with a group (virtual or real life) you have to adapt, different from when you do your stuff alone. So your proposal is valid and I will try like that - asking whether bonus objectives will be done, maybe looking for like-minded people - with a bit of patience..and then see what happens.
  7. Hi everyone, I just returned to the game few days ago and I am kinda undecided whether I should continue with it or get back to single playing. I do love Swtor and I also enjoy the group content, but I detest any kind of rushing or content skipping. It doesnt matter whether I did the same fp already 100 times - I still do not like to rush. Now for me the big problem seems to be that everyone else likes to rush and nowadays it seems almost impossible to find players/groups that play in a completionist style. I remember a couple of years ago, around 2015 or 2016, while still the majority were rushers, you could find a surprisingly big number of players that sometimes enjoyed it to go it slowly, doing bonus objectives etc. But I get the feeling that they almost disappeared. Additionally, I also noticed that most of the activities are limited to very few operations and fps (like Hammer Station). I like to do everything, not just doing one op or fp over and over again. Is there any chance, or strategy to actually find players that like to play in a non-rushed way? Are there maybe specific guilds that focus on playing like that? I am really curious about that. Because if it is not possible anymore to play non-rushed, I don´t think that I will keep playing. Any hint or advice is appreciated Cheers
  8. Thank you for your replies. Indeed, switching the map option "show exploration missions" on enabled the recon droid quest giver. I never figured that a map option would have an impact on quest givers. Nevertheless, It is somewhat disappointing that they turned these challenging Heroic Missions into these simple missions. They could at least turned them into a Heroic 2+. This is really a pity because I have some fond memories of these Heroics. Cheers
  9. Hi, I was wondering whether the Area Heroics (those that triggered when entering an area) were all removed. I wanted to play "Assault on Fort Alde" (once a Heroic Area on Alderaan, near Outpost Talarn), but it doesn´t trigger anymore, and also the enemies in this area (which is still denominated Heroic Area) were all downgraded. I do remember at least two other Heroic areas, one on Dromund Kaas, south of Kaas City (Hadra´s Defeat) and one on Hoth, near the Starship Graveyard. Were they really removed, or do you have to trigger them somehow differently? Cheers, Tarisknight
  10. I am running Windows 10 64 Bit, but I didn´t have this problem with my previous configuration (I7-2600 k, 8 GB Ram). I just found out which is actually causing this - shadow quality and shadow map resolution. If I turn shadow quality to low, the stuttering stops. So a question: is shadow quality and shadow map resolution rather influenced by the GPU or the CPU?
  11. Hi everyone, I changed today to a new pc (I7-10700 and 32 GB Ram), while continuing to use my old Geforce 970 GTX. Since then I have been observing a strange stuttering in the game. It is not a performance stutter (fps are high and constant), it is rather the screen sometimes making "jumps", when scrolling around. It is a bit hard to explain. Does anyone have experienced something similar? Cheers, Tarisknight Update: I managed to solve the problem by switching to Fullscreen (Windowed). But why this is, I have no clue.
  12. Thank you, this was very enlightening! So just to summarize in my own words - let´s take for example a typical encounter on Iokath (level 70), and my level 75 Jedi Guardian with an average item rating of 277: 1) Useful/Giving an Edge - armour and defense ratings on equipment - critical and alacrity passive values - activating a alacrity or critical relic 2) Useless/Giving no edge - master and power buffs - hitpoints (endurance) That should cover it more or less, right? If you allow a final question: how about companions? Does higher influence make them more powerful, say on Iokath or Corellia, or are they also hardcapped?
  13. Hi everyone, I have several lv. 75 characters, but the major part of the content I play (story-wise - I am still on Iokath, flashpoints, Heroics etc.) are on lower levels and the level of my characters is adjusted. I know that this was introduced in order to keep lower-level content challenging. However, I have been noticing that, whenever I am in a less-than-lv 75 environment, my equipment has no effect at all. For example endurance doesn´t matter at all - at lower levels the total health won´t change. Of for example if I activate a relic which gives a power boost for 30 seconds - nothing happens, the damage stays the same. Is this supposed to be so? And basicaly doesn´t this imply that I could just run around naked, without even worrying about my equipment, whenever I am below 75? Or maybe I understand all this completely wrong. Let me know what you think. Cheers, Tarisknight
  14. Hello, everything always worked fine - until now. When I want to start the game, there is a red line at the bottom of the launcher stating "Installing 100 %....Updating....Complete" But nothing ever happens. What can I do? Thanks in advance. Tarisknight
  15. Hi everyone, I know that it is a minor/graphical issue, still I think that graphics and effects are important for gameplay. During the first years of the game, I remember that when using the Discharge ability of the Sith Assassin (no matter whether lightning, surge or dark charge) you could see a nice animation, kind of a lightning arc hitting the enemy. This is completely missing now. I am not sure if it might be related to my graphics settings, but I doubt it. Anyone else noticed that? Cheers, Tarisknight
