  1. gifts are not too bad, but need to be leveleed in crafting and not stuck on 5..... some ppl like me, a returning player from L55-60 days.. cant afford all the stuff now guild ships & SH, personal SHx4 took most of what i had back then.. now gear costs mills.. think i had about 35mil between all alts left which was fine back then.. but now, out of 12 alts i have to pick only 3 or 4 i can gear.. but prob only 2 fully at 1st... the game is very expensive now for no apparent reason.. so gifts are ok for me.. the courting is rubbish if that system is still broken?? and drops too often i will admit.. but another more important thing about those gifts.. why cant we give more than 1 at a time if they only give a tiny amount of affection ? like buy or split multiples.. we should be able to give multiple... the whole companion system since they rewrote it is horrible.. especially if all comps were 50 proir to chapters originally,, they all got reset to zero which makes this comp gift x1 thing one of the worst systems in the game.. forcing ppl into finding millions of credits creating more grind and mad rush group environments and overhyped prices :/
  2. surely for a 24hr operation they have 1 person on call somehwere ?? xD but complaints on all servers and yet ststus shows all ok says something about reaction times unfortunatley
  3. same here on DM, logged with 1st alt but was very unstable, cant clik things etc.. then noticed the red x lag :/ fleet chat was full of moans about the lag this morning so it is not just a few of us.. was doing a round of crafting (catching back up after the last patch :/) but found each alt after was unable to load past onslaught load screen, booted from sever several times and unable to play what im paying for.. online issue seems isolated to this game only. Ive only been back a few weeks and this and the crew skill mess has annoyed me more than i enjoyed my return... and i have to minimise that stupid new sales window each time aswell this week? again ? a not so great return to the game :/
  4. Thanks are in order for Eric's post... but ye, my sub ran out 3 days ago.. ive decided to withdraw my continuing sub and ive chose a 60day sub.. if MOST issues are not fixed by the time that 60days is up, then i have to seriously consider my future here.. which would be a shame for many as im a GM of a guild with over 120 active accounts. The general feeling i get from many members since 3.0 is a feeling if disillusionment thro various issues or changes, including the most recent comm reward changes !! Thats a shame b'cos all the hype prior to 3.0 was exciting for some, and they feel let down. Some have already told me they have not or will not renew their sub. Value for money/getting what we pay for seems to be the biggest issue right now.
  5. tbh, i think bioware have let us down with the ops... big time.. and even more so now with the new comm reward system introduced today. No ultis for NIM s+v / tfb ??? really ? 16man sm gf ops.. i prefer 8man all day long.. why do we not have a choice? lack of tanks/heals in the game ? thats a pug issue, and not a general one, as tanks/heals mainly stick to guild runs anyway. Gearing a tank while leveling is very hard unless u know a few little things about the game. That needs to change also there are casual, regular, addicted, and then the more hardcore players on all servers.. im in a guild, of average size, and have been playing here for nearly 3 yrs. 1st year was just casual, then the gm left, & i woke up one day with the title.. been thro good times & bad we are still going, and sometime 12-18months ago we started the hm ops. The group formed naturally back then as we all knew each other thro playing for some time together in the same guild, and a group of 8-10 players with good skills just developed naturally. We got thro hm, and started nim. Many players no longer wanted the 'old 55 ops' so we started on df.. then thro a series of players real lives getting in the way, commitments, players stopping playing etc, we found some weeks we were short of 1 or 2 players, which obviously we asked guildies to come 1st. We noticed a massive difference in player skills, which i think is due to the constant dumbing down of mobs & content that bioware seem to do every few months. When we 1st started the harder ops, the loot rewards seemed epic, 180set bonus gear really set u apart from the regular guys. Then what did bio do? give the vendors 180 gear so anyone & everyone suddenly had the gear and thought they were good enough for hm/nim due to the stats & numbers they had on char menu Obviously, when we 1st started hm/nim, we were all a bit naff and went thro many wipes, but persistence and teamwork/communication got us thro and we developed into good (& some excellent !!) players. So giving the newer guys leniency or dropping our nim to a hm night to get these newer players upto the skill levels required were not a problem for us, but seemed to be for them. The problem seemed to come from the quality of player coming thro.. and it seemed to get worse & worse. I mean, almost clueless (about their class & skills) players in full 180 vendor gear doing less damage than someone in 162/168 set bonus seemed to be more common than wiping on CZ or Brontes Then bioware introduce GF ops :/ which was ofc, initially broken so they had to change it to 8man, which most of us really enjoyed, but was fixed and replaced with 16sm only. 16man sm is far too easy for 90% of players, but was all anyone wanted to do for their comm lust for the new 180 gear. 16man sm ops is an easy ride, u dont have to learn or know anything about any boss and can easily get thro.. which is ok, i have no issue with a starting block for ppl. but to learn the ops if u wanted hm/nim, u really need to know your class (at least average knowledge of skills/optimal rotations) and try your hand at some 8man content to 'learn' things. Bioware do not reward us for 8man, comms are lower, if at all ( no ultis in 8sm), and unless the guild has 20-30 quality L55/60 players online most nights, then doing the nim content got harder & harder as we refused to find a 'pug' player due to past experiences. Since 3.0, not many even want to do 55 nim anymore at all, including df/dp And then todays notes.. no ulti comms for NIM S+V/TFB ? wth ? Not many ppl were willing to do that content anyway anymore as its ''old content'' and ''the loots crap'' etc NiM S+V prob has the hardest boss in the game (hidden entity) and both S+V & TFB have great speeders to those lucky enough to win one. This disappoints me as no-one wants to do that content anymore and its almost cast off completely already. Even hm s+v... yes i know, its long and some ppl get bored, but s+v was the best op for comms AND credits. Now it seems no-one will ever do that content anymore due to the lack of rewards involved. Just like the classic ops have been dropped for L60's and replaced with hm 55 hm/nim ops, which is ok, but to lose ulti comms from bosses, and with ulti comms now only available thro very limited sources seems to be all going very much the wrong direction. I mean lol, have u tried a 16sm pug run on the 60 ops? lol.. a shambles is all i have seen, and suffered many wipes at the 2nd bosses of both ops, then group falls apart, a waste of time, credits, effort, and ultimatley, no comms Hm ops have become like sm to some of us, so NiM is what we want, but to limit us to DF/DP for ultis is wrong. i dont want to do the same 2 ops week in week out, its boring, repetitive and turns ppl away (already noticed thro sign-ups) Even before df/dp nim was introduced, ppl didnt want the older 55 hm ops cos the loot reward remained the same as prior to newer ops nim mode releases, so the incentive for many had gone already. The general feeling i get from many is 'there 'is no point' in doing that content anymore. NiM is unforgiving and should reward players appropriately according to current game levels, not previous levels. The new L60 content has also limited the interaction between guildies of diff levels. A L55 could do a L50 op or fp with ftp/pref players thro gf, have fun with most members of guild and earn a few creds or comms to buy your comp some gear. That gap has got bigger and has impacted the interaction massively already. The quality of players coming thro has dropped dramatically due to the gearing system introduced last year, and again in 3.0. The incentive to do most of the endgame content has gone (according to many others) The grind for gear has suddenly increased to a massive scale (we all know the grind is the games system so no complaints about the system), but what i mean is.. i have 11 alts, and the lack of incoming ulti comms has suddenly made me feel some of my beloved alts will never see the highest gear at all, and this has ultimately affected my beliefs and love for the game. I now feel forced into certain content, such as 16sm pug grps, as our guild is only average size, and although we have numbers online most nights, the required level of player is not always online together, (not all members are 55-60 remember ) so we manage 8man ok, but struggle to fill a regular 16man hm guild run. Now the comms are gone for all 8man hm content, is there really any point at all ? apart form the guild companionship & fun we have ofc, but the incentive has gone for many which i can see becoming a problem very quickly. Lol, i'll stop soon In a nutshell, they regularly dumb down levelling content by a significant amount, allowing players to glide thier way to L55/L60 without issues, then suddenly remove incentive for most endgame content, leaving the majority of players unable to cope with any of the more difficult content whatsoever. That leaves a massive hole in endgame for me. I understand the majority of players arent intersted in NiM, i suspect due to elitism from the advertised pug groups raids, or being unable to try the content regular due to thier guild not doing the stuff at all. That situation now seems worse in my mind, and the quality of player will be even harder to replace. Signalling the death of ops? i doubt it just yet in swtor, but it has seriously affected the long term players and the attitude towards the game they once loved.
  6. Then why cant bioware just structure the gtn so that when u sell, u have to enter the number into thier own structured box, eliminating the decimal point ppl can put in themselves.. is a simple fix surely, ie: the box u type the amount into should have its own set decimal points to automatically split the figure u type. I have not been duped by it, but it annoys me b'cos u always have to double check you are at the right point after clicking the list by price or per unit via hitting the sort button multiple times instead of just the once that i presume was intended
  7. u lazy people xD If u want 'bonus stats', then go get them.. if u cant be bothered, then dont... simple The only thing it should have to do with legacy is a seperate collection stat for each alt... so if u didnt collect them on the way around, you clearly know what u missed... not just checking planet codex and see u missing 3 somewhere.. i know if u have several alts it can become a pain.. but only if u rushed thro planets and then suddenly decide u want to go get all crons in a day.. if u do them as u level on the way around each planet, its easy... its the 'kdy speed leveling' craze many of u have.. so i say again.. if u cant be bothered, then dont get the crons
  8. xD im still confused at the wording of the original post, but fully understand its direction.. the words horizontal/vertical just dont seem right xD progression is progression, and the route to the top and the skills/gear/experience collected along the way should all contribute, but it seems to have got a bit lost recently, & thats besides the fact leveling to 50/55 is far too easy with only a few tough fights along the way, unless ofc, you are overgeared/overleveled for the content. The post is a potential minefield for bioware.. but something they defo need to sort out.. quickly I've moaned for years about the pvp bolster/relics etc.. and now with the sudden influx of top end gear for all to get hold of so easily which has almost stopped the need for kell dragon/underworld progression gear dead in its tracks is a bit beyond belief. Why is some NiM 55 ops gear lower than other 55 HM stuff? that in itself shows some sort of problem with the system. I tell players 'you dont need to buy the DF stuff', but i see from the price of mmg's etc that the market for that stuff is huge. Elite comms have become comms for comps, basic comms for isotopes only.. its all out of balance o yeah.. and bioware ,, sort out HK's gear and 34 tank enhancemtents dps can have low enduro/high power, tanks dont get that choice with thier 180 enhancements.. we have to spend all those mmg's/isotopes on stuff thats same as comm vendor crap.. ??? i mean c'mon.. ***? Yes we all want the best, but to skip out 2 or 3 steps along the way and then allowing lesser skilled players to run headfirst into a brickwall is not biowares best thought out plans. HM content as some of us know is very tough at first, yes the gear is needed to do it, but to dive straight into DF/DP HM without trying out the slightly 'easier' S+V / TFB has somewhat destroyed the whole meaning of progression. The newer players who'd like to try HM, simply dont want to do the older 55 ops HM b'cos 'the gear's crap'.. and that has to be fixed. Like i said the other week when i wanted to give NiM S+V / TFB a try, i was quickly talked down out of it due to the complex difficulties of that content, i said well that gear is now obsolete then.. achievements & titles are great, but seem pretty pointless without the extra bonuses and gear collected on the way. Although i do still want the NiM L50 i missed out due to leveling too fast and out gearing the content too fast.. u know what i mean xD i want to, but its bottom of the list. I can see why bioware are trying to merge a few levels of player into one so that more can attempt to do hm content, as many many guilds have set teams only, and most pug hm's are a washout, but the whole system seems out of sync. I cant recall doing the L50 NiM stuff in 50 gear, so that was never really a challenge, apart from maybe EC, which is an op i enjoy still.. but its so rare because its a bit tough in parts.. highlighting the attitude of most players.. "run away", "not doing that again" 'quick EV run anyone???" So when i 1st tried the 2 older 55 ops in Hm, it was a bit of a shock to the system, and our regular bunch of players found it tough for a few weeks, but we cracked it and basked in the glory of a true sense of achievement for a few days xD we did those 2x 55 ops for a few months, 1 or 2 times a week and got us some good gear.. satisfied !! Then we were presented with df/dp hm, which again slightly stepped up skill levels, but with that gear being better than NiM TFB / S+V stuff, then the older ops were quickly forgotten.. which disappointing me.. And Bioware just did it again, bypassed the progression side of progression..,. now not many people in our guild want to do some content 'cos the gears crap' and setting up another HM group for the guild and conceding to their pleas and diving straight into df/dp hm is an expensive way to go xD and ultimately leads to more disappointment than any sense of achievement. The skills you learn & gear you win in some content should prepare you for the next level of content.. not just buy your way to what is the same as top end gear (apart from enhancements) and expect to jump into DF NiM Also... 16man sm gives ulti comms? lol, really?? sooooo many players in 16m have never done 8man, so some dont even know what to do and can happily sit at the back hitting stuff without having any responsibilities for the grp. 8man content should be rewarded more than 16man as it is slighlty tougher b'cos it usually means all players have jobs to do and have to 'learn' the op, which also helps their chance of jumping into HM content a little easier because they are more aware of basics. If bioware raise the level cap to 60, that can only lead to more & more double xp weekends as people cry to get there faster, leading to more unskilled players at top level in top gear The new fp's are a massive let down, why are they 55? far too easy cos we already have the gear to probably solo the stuff ... Cant have rocket boots to get to the top, need to go step by step
  9. While the look of weapons is important, i often find myself thinking,, 'its just the same as...' when i preview a weapon.. Most are disappointing really.. and the half decent ones are selling for ridiculous money on gtn :/ But just as important as looks, is sound.. 9/10 guns sound the same, ie - very tinny and feeble An assault cannon should sound a lot more 'beefy' than a rifle or pistol.. such as the intro cutscene to the cartel warlords gun in S+V, if that sound is already in the game files, then why is it not applied to certain weapons already? and tbh, all guns should have various types of quality sound.. and not just cartel ones!! As well as 'cartel' weapons, dont forget crafters please.. the choice of weapons they can make is very limited
  10. The guy is right in a way.. apart form the burst is no good he must be watchman... combat has good burst.. i doubt its still the best.. but its up there.. But it seems the Combat sents have been forgotten recently.. looking for anything online is always filled with watchman stuff...and combat are also dropping down the dps charts too (apart from the odd one)... that affects HM ops selection! With all the new class changes coming out in 2.6 - its the second one in a row that combat sents have had no increase in anything worth while (damage wise)... ranged have had plenty too much recently and are getting even more... this can only lead to saber weilding dps being bottom of dps charts?? ***? this isnt battlefield lol Anyone else feel combat sents are being hung out to rot? I understand peoples desire for more balance.. and some of it was needed.. but it feels like it will tip too far.. and thats not balance!! Ive been looking at a recent HM DP & DF dps chart.. of which some of u will know already cos KBN has been very busy recently (great info mate btw!), and those charts are filled with slingers with 1 combat sent near the bottom on a few, some dont even have a combat sent on them.. maybe its just the player.. who knows.. but there has been a definate swing... and its not the sabers With smugglers and VG's having massive burst now aswell as sustainable dps... where does that leave the future of combat sents?
  11. no, but ive had the same.. My fps have never been spectacular, but i could always play the game ok on medium/high settings.. All of my pc fall within recommended specs.. some 16man ops were always very low fps but always smooth graphics/playability, and no real issues.. until recently.. since 2.5 its been funny.. and then after the Biowares recommended AMD update recently... my fps have dropped too... my machine should run this game fine... its dissapointing.. Lowering / raising the in-game graphics do not affect it it in anyway.. my subs due soon... i'm really beginning to wonder if its worth it...ive put up with all the bugs for 18months lol.. now all this nonsense... I did install driver software properly, removing all old drivers 1st etc.. so its not that, my pc has nothing running in background thats hogging my cpu, windows in turned down to minimum... so i believe its something within the game or its engine :/ Do i really have to spend a few hundred pound for a brand new m/b, cpu etc just to continue playing this game when its been fine up until recent updates?? I also know they were hacked recently and i also noticed a drop in the 'server lag' just after that.. It used to be 32ms most of the time, now its 42/54 whenever i check it.. they may have extra security stuff running now which will affect that.. but both situations have certainly spoilt my game :/
  12. Why not take it 2 steps further? Aswell as covering that ignore for all your account.. why not ignore all his account.. they may have several alts like some of us do... ignore him - ignore all of his alts on all your alts !!!
  13. And not only ignore that character for your whole account.. but ignore his/her alts aswell
  14. xD i know this.. and the game engine they use has a bad name.. hence why they love short term customers more than long term ones.,.. for typical 'business reasons' :/ it stinks tbh..the basic fixies should be priority number one!! they could really make this an epic game that can evolve and last for years.. logically bringing in more money.... but sadly it looks like they are not too interested in fixing stuff like that... too much work?? or typical modern business? or lack of correct staff?? or under the thumb of the business leaders of the franchise? who knows .. There are more issues than what i wrote down in previous post and above...but i dont want to scare anyone off i like the game and would stay for many years if they did the basics better, and told us of any future plans.. but they would need a new game engine, constant updates of new all content - not just pvp & cartel, the pve content needs regular additions because the 'grinding' gets boring... and maybe also regular new worlds, characters and a few new classes for the game to be an epic . I fear this will not happen...but i'll see what the next few months of this year brings before shopping elsewhere A new game engine would mean a new game anyway.. as long as everything is transferable i cant see an issue and would look forward to it.. but would not like to start from scratch with a new game altogether..
  15. seems to be issues after every update - major or not... and with 2.5 being mainly pvp and cartel rubbish.. its annoying as hell
