  1. Hi folks, I am a returning player from launch who never actually stepped into any of the raids. I’ve noticed there are a couple of different modes available. Before stepping into the raid scene I would like to know what level gear and research is required. I don’t want to be a burden on the group in anyway, shape or form. I’ve exclusively only ever been an Immortal Juggernaut but have recently switched to a DPS spec until I am confident with all the encounters. Is there a certain gear level I need to be before entering story mode? Is story mode the best place to start and work my way up from there? Any help would be great. Thank you in advance.
  2. I have just reached level 70 for the first time and I'm currently playing a Darkness Assassin. The biggest irk I have is the combat pacing which I believe is mainly attributed to the GCD length, if this could be lowered by 0.5 seconds through a talent or even across the board, I feel this would vastly improve the combat experience of the game at least from my limited point of view. I would be curious to hear from more experienced players who have much more game time logged than me to hear their thoughts, do all the classes suffer like this?
  3. Honestly if we don't get info on new Ops and decent group content in January I'm out.
  4. To be completely honest I think this new gearing change is a horrible idea and BioWare is making a massive mistake, players will always choose the path of least resistance as other MMO's have shown us time and time again. I don't know about anyone else but when I wipe on the hardest difficulty raid boss for weeks and finally get the kill the last thing I would want to receive is crystals or some sort of pet/vanity item what's the point. Raiding at the highest difficulty is for the best gear in the game. So why bother if I can just create an efficient HM FP group and eventually get the same gear. Sure it might take longer but 4 people is way easier to manage than 8 or 16 from a raid lead point of view. I see the merit in BioWare encouraging players to step outside the comfort zone and push players participate in other activities with bonus events from galactic command this is a great idea, the whole loot aspect to it is just a horrid plan. I'm not saying remove the galactic command or command crates feature, galactic command looks like a great feature I'm just saying put something else in the crates like gear that is no longer obtainable, highly rare unique mounts, pets etc. BioWare nothing is more important than listening to your player base now more than ever, no one wants to see this community get any smaller.
  5. Totally agree with you here and was my original thought when talking about macros, my heal team in WoW cringe a little when told Swtor still didn't have mouseover's... Indeed thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. Couldn't agree more with this statement, Thank you for posting.
  6. Fair enough thank you for your insight
  7. As detailed in my original post I was not going into detail for quitting WoW. Legion is a great expansion with more things to do than I could possibly have time for but this is a game I've played for over a decade. This thread was intended to communicate to BioWare (should CM's be reading this) what I think could be added to the game as an improvement for constructive feedback - this is my opinion and not everyone will agree as you can see from the macros discussion. I am also pointing out should anyone care to listen that consistent new group content be the only thing that's missing from the game as far what concerns me personally, they have everything else fairly well nailed. This game deserves a bigger player base and is the closest I've ever seen it to being amazing, as they say build it and they will come.. and they are so close.
  8. Excellent info, exactly what I was looking for thank you for posting!
  9. I only ask because as far as WoW goes kill order is usually Skull, X, Triangle and Square. Triangle, Square and Moon are generally interpreted as CC targets. Ah okay so marked targets are generally seen as CC targets and kill order is usually weakest to strongest mob?
  10. All in all from what I've been reading if BioWare can provide quality new Operations and content on a consistent basis in addition to its other up coming features the game could be in great shape. They have the story telling down and we should know more about the upcoming expansion features in greater detail soon. I'm sure BioWare understands this better than any of us, they seem like a passionate crew and the last thing they would want is for more people to leave. They have already mentioned the game will be supported going forward and a great game will attract more people on its own. In the meantime I am going to continue to entice all my friends back to the game because I'm having a blast so far and I'm sure others will too.
  11. Hey guys hoping someone out there can help me out with this, I am a returning player who is not accustom to the target markers of Swtor. Is there a general rule used for which target markers belong to kill target 1, 2, 3, etc? Like wise for CC targets? Don't want to go confusing people when I start heading into FPs, Cheers!
  12. Clearly you missed the 13 month content drought between Hellfire Citadels release and Legion prepatch.. oh yeah they counted Twitter integration as a "Major patch" but in any case I wish you and your guild luck. glhf.
  13. Thank you for clarifying I was not aware of this, I truly hope they do something interesting in terms of group content that can dial the hype meter into overdrive. It's great to hear other peoples opinions on this, I hope they earn your sub back also - Thank you for contributing to this thread.
  14. Couldn't agree more with this, Community is very important.. So far I like what I see with Swtor in that regard.
  15. That is an excellent point and perhaps some pruning and merging could fix this, thank you for responding.
