  1. 1. More chapters to the class stories 2. Additional classes with their own stories/splitting up stories for advanced classes to improve replayability (well I know it is unlikely even for expansions) 3. PVP dedicated planets with proper incentive for participating. Possibly allow opposing player cities on them. 4. space combat (including pvp) a la starwars galaxies 5. Allow us to buy other ships
  2. SWTOR's warzones require a higher level of battlefield awareness then the average deathmatch setup. A lot of people seem unable to adapt their tactics to the enemy movements or are simply unable to break out of the red = kill mentality.
  3. If you are healer or dps really doesn't matter in terms of medals. I get plenty as either in pvp even when losing. If your issue is with not getting enough medals, or the threshold being too high or the gold reward being to low in general win or loose. Then that is what you should discuss, however losing does not prevent obtaining rewards and it is a misinformation that needs to be beaten down.
  4. you get your reward as long as you have at least 3 medals...
  5. Wouldn't mind an ability seperate from quick travel that would move you directly to your ship. The only issue I see is that your bonus quest givers are generally located in the spaceport and new players might miss them if they had this function. Also some class quests require you to enter your hanger to finish. So yeah quick travel to spaceport seems the better option.
  6. There is no way additional downloading will speed things up. Your client has all the graphical data it needs to load an area. It would be inefficient and costly for bioware to resend such data every time you load in to an area. One of the main reasons that some areas (Alderaan, Correlia, Tatooine) take longer to load is because SWTOR preloads the entire area at the loading screen, these areas are massive and/or have a lot of items in them causing larger files to be moved in your memory. The only method of reducing loading screens is to only preload the initial area and then continue loading as you move. Such a method also has downsides, for example less powerful systems will be slower during actual gameplay.
  7. Why would that be an issue? The person clearly states what he seeks, if you are not interested don't respond. It is the same with social runs. I assure you there will be groups that will not care about combat logs one way or another so everyone can get what they want without having to be in conflict over it. At least if the server has the population for it. In fact if they ever make a dungeon finder and/or guild seeker they should add it as a search option 'logged, unlogged, do not give a hooth about logging' (I still want a delay on raid combat logs however)
  8. I'm an idealist and believe people pvp because they like pvp, not because they require medals for gear. However as per ranked anything people will seek to cheat the system. And those with legit issues will suffer for it. It is 'going with the lesser evil' kinda thing. As someone who has had some serious ISP problems I realize it is not pleasant but it is how the world works.
  9. They are not the same. The above programs have a decent reputation, as do their developers. The poster in this topic that made a client is not even known beyond his or her forum handle. Therefor there is a much higher risk involved when using the executable. At this point everyone has to make out for themselves if they can afford the risk. (Both in terms of malware and security leaks)
  10. You get kicked because to keep the WZ fair your team needs someone to replace you. Since the game can't predict the future it can't know if you are gone for 2 seconds or half an hour. Not punishing DC leaving on the other hand will result in simulating disconnects to leave and avoid the punishment.
  11. IMO raid wide combatlogs should always be delayed, else you are just making the coding of bots way to easy. You either enjoy the number crunching or you don't, if you enjoy it then you don't mind it. If you don't and it feels like a second job then don't do it. Which is what they did by restricting the information to just about you rather than the entire group. It isn't that hard to write a lightweight client that automatically transfers logs to a main server. Except for apparently certain boss attacks/heals/spawns/whatever it seems all information can be obtained by parsing multiple logs, petition for the things currently omitted to be included to all logs and it becomes incredibly easy for guilds to have what they want while making it virtually impossible for a pug.
  12. planting is only half the game. You need to also shine in the defensive part. I ninja plant often and harass plants in defensive mode while waiting for reinforcement and I quite often walk out with the most mvp votes. A lot of people seem to expect to get mvp for just fulfilling their roles while forgetting it is the team that allows you to do that in the first place (well and sometimes enemy stupidity). A healer often gets nuked down unless there is a nice tank to protect them, or a dps to intercept their attacker. A ghost bomber is useless unless the enemy is being engaged elsewhere, sometimes the person using cc is more valuable then the person capturing.
  13. heh perhaps instead of a vote to kick they should have made a vote to forfeit the game. The problem really is if someone is in a circumstance where his team doesn't cooperate and just solo attacks, leaves. You are letting someone else enter an already defunct warzone. Which can be quite annoying if it happens several times in a row, which it will since you tend to be grouped with the same people.
  14. Ah interesting. But yeah I imagine those intent on AFKing will just create a keyboard macro to heal themselves every x time.
