  1. It's comments like this that make me wish you had to pass a test to post on the forums.
  2. Sorry everyone was a dick to you. I can concede the fact that it's hard to gauge the potential of a class until you hit level 50, but if that's always the case then a lot of people won't play certain classes. The journey, or storyline to 50, is what BW says the game is REALLY about. So if Jugg stinks compared to all other classes UNTIL 50, then it's still a design flaw. And that's not the way to encourage people to play a class. So for the flamers telling you not to comment until you're level 50, I'd just skip over their posts. I personally agree with you on several points. I suppose it is possible that our expectations are a little high (this is the class I wanted to play most and Tanking is what I do..) but that is neither here nor there. I have noticed and been concerned about the exact points you made above. B/c I'm dedicated to see how this class is at end game I won't be re-rolling, but the concerns are still there. If you and I both have them then it's unlikely we're the only ones. I think it's something that needs to be reviewed by BW. Nobody here is 'qualified' to decide whether to nerf/buff, but everyone here IS qualified to share their observations. And currently mine are shared with the poster. The Sith Juggernaut needs a look-over and should be contrasted to other classes. Our DPS needs a bump as does our mitigation (especially Internal/Elemental.) I'm tired of being in Soresu Form and being killed in seconds to Internal/Elemental dmg. Especially since 75% of players in Warzones are SI/JC... As for Tanking in Flashpoints, I am doing fine. I hold aggro well, though I look forward to more AoE abilities. Unfortunately my Healer still complains about my ability to mitigate damage. There isn't much more I can do as I'm specced appropriately, use my CDs, and have the best gear I can get my hands on. So I would support a buff here. Hope we see something official soon on BW's position/opinion on our class.
  3. As someone answered correctly earlier, Mezz is short for Mesmerize, which was what it was called in EverQuest.
  4. Yeah, this is very beginner info. It's good for them to read though. Unfortunately this post doesn't really enlighten as much as the poster claims on Resolve. Until we're a few more weeks out from launch or see some patches, it's going to be hard to determine if Resolve is working correctly for everyone. Regardless, I think having Stuns that grant various levels of Resolve could be flawed. It also makes certain class combos better than others. Maybe this is another reason the Warzones are 85% Inquisitor/Consulars. -Two minutes is too long on a CC break. -All abilities should refresh after death. (I've seen this happen and seen it not happen, so I don't know if it's bugged or depends on game type.) -CCs ARE a huge part of PvP and an MMO in general. But SWTOR is just overboard on them atm. It is frustrating when there are as many CCs as there are but only 1-2 CC breaks with a LONG cooldown.
  5. I do agree with this, dps just seems too lopsided. Even when we use our cool downs in PvP to mitigate damage the BH or other class just heals or runs away. Our dps needs a buff.
  6. I absolutely love my Jugg too. It took me hitting 24 before I felt better about my decision though. I'm 25 now and PvP is getting better, though our dps is still pretty bad. Our dps in general is pretty bad. The storyline is great! AoE tanking can be a chore and takes a lot of skill, but the best thing to do is adjust strategy a bit as necessary for AoE fights. Other than that I am tanking just fine (though I wouldn't say it's easy, and I wouldn't want it to be.) Can I get a ha-rumph if you love your Juggernaut? Ha-rumph!
  7. I agree! using your break ability to immediately get CC'd again is extremely frustrating. And since you don't get the break very often, I find it pretty worthless except in 1v1 fights.
  8. I couldn't agree more. I've played PvP in several other games and currently SWTOR pvp is pretty broken. I hope they fix it soon. As a Sith Juggernaut, I literally want to turn off the game or wipe my toon after playing PvP. I don't do enough damage to kill anybody, I spend my whole time CC'd or knocked back, and even though I'm supposed to be (according to BW) "an unstoppable force of Darkness," I spend more time standing in one place than moving. In WoW (and YES I know this is a different game but BW CLEARLY took a page from Blizzard's playbook) as a Protection Warrior I could have 2-6 guys on me and still be moving around and interrupting them; basically making their life hell. Did I die? Of course! But did I sometimes kill one of them in the process, yes. Did I sometimes hang onto the flag JUST long enough for my teammates to respawn and get most of the way back, absolutely. In SWTOR, as soon as a couple enemies engage me I am locked down and dead within almost no time... I feel completely worthless. I don't mind dying, honestly. I don't mind losing. But I am really, really bothered by feeling helpless and worthless. BW, please take a look at pvp and, if necessary, take another page out of Blizzard's playbook. Or even EQ2, which I still think had some wonderful pvp. If you want 'your own' style, your own pvp system, then rebuild the whole thing b/c it's already too similar to pvp we've seen before to be considered next generation.
