  1. I have no idea what all the belly-aching is about both classes are fine (when compare to each other). Just look at it logically. If both ACs had the same dps and the same survivability wouldn't that make the class with more roles much more desirable? As it is right now it's just a matter of play-style preference. If they were made equal dps and survivability wise Sentinel/Marauders would be broken.
  2. Too bad I had to pull mods/enhancements off of champion gear to put in my BM gear =(
  3. Umm Nothing you highlighted is actually incorrect as far as I know. I don't know of any situation in which Anakin employed Dun Moch before becoming Vader. If you would be so kind as to point me in the right direction there I would be happy to retract that part. Also Dun Moch is a tactic that uses distraction and doubt, seems like an inherently dark tactic to me. I never stated however that Jedi didn't or couldn't use it. I meant it's not common practice within the Jedi order.
  4. Well there's a reason Anakin was not invited onto council; He lacked control, experience, and dedication. These are some of traits that make a Jedi strong and ultimately led to his demise. So sure he might of had the most potential but potential does not mean strength. It's probable that most of the council members at the time could beat him one way or another. Note: I'm talking about Anakin Skywalker at the time he was placed on the council by Palpatine; Not after the events of ROTJ when he has fallen The OP clearly states in ROTJ. Vader was a master of Dun Moch not Anakin. Dun Moch is an inherently dark side tactic not practiced by Jedi. Plus in the context of this thread Vader was not on the council.
  5. And yet couldn't clearly beat an old Obi-wan who spent years in solitude unable to practice his saber skills. Yeah seems kinda overrated to me.
  6. In the OP was stated Post Mustafar Vader, so I'm referring to the fight on the Death star where Obi transformed into a ghost before the fight could finish.
  7. Hmm might be a bit biased in this response but here goes. Obi Vs Revan, I think Revan clearly wins thanks to both power and experience. Obi Vs Meetra could go either way but prolly favor Meetra. Obi Vs Kyle, Obi has experience but Kyle was likely the better swordsman and also more power and both light and dark abilities. So probably Kyle. Obi Vs Vader did happen and sadly was kind of a draw. Obi Vs Galen, Galen was OP so yeah give him it hands down.
  8. Pretty much this. But really never understood why I couldn't use whichever lightsaber setup I wanted on any force class.
  9. Playing the Jedi Knight Series has made me never ever want to be a stormtrooper , but was really looking forward to a new jedi knight game after academy.
  10. Have no idea why no one mentioned him yet but yeh Kyle Katarn. He seemed to be one of the only Jedi to believe no ability was inherently light or dark. Not to mention hes the biggest BAMF in the SW universe.
  11. Funny to see how all the posters for Fcous/Rage spec argue that smash/sweep is pretty bad but none of them would switch to Vig/Veng trees. This says quite a bit about the work needed on those trees.
  12. Not a whole different stat just more of your main stat and endurance. Secondary stats on both gear sets are identical.
  13. Well some argue that after 500 exp there is no point to getting more unless you have no choice. IMO just get as much as you can at this point cuz the drop in stats is made up for by the expertise. The only reason you might want to use pve gear instead of pvp gear is if your set bonuses are really good.
  14. They both have pretty much the same utility with the exception of exhaustion. Vig however beats the focus tree out at focus management and mobility those are other factors to look at. and its possible to hit those number using the same tools available to focus (trinkets /expertise stim/ dmg buff) not to mention gather strength really puts the hurt on slow/stunners (up to 25% dmg increase on next strike). Being Vig is about knowing which ability to use and when to use it. Any class could just jump in and press 1,2,3,4 but awareness separates the experienced from the not-so experienced. Tl;Dr I'm not saying that the Vig tree is superior to the Focus tree but that it's a matter of play style and a matter of situation.
  15. Couldn't have said it better myself although my plasma brand has never hit that hard, well maybe lower 2k, but yeh you start seeing large numbers after u get your bm wep (atleast I did)
