  1. I'm in the same boat that I need something to strive towards to keep me logging in. MMO's take little skill to play so if there's no incentive then what's the point? I'm already full BM gear with a casual play schedule and there's nothing really left to do..not even superficial achievements and economy and professions are non existent. I tried leveling an alt but its too boring and linear the 2nd time. I'll stick around till 1.2 but I dont have much hope really
  2. Its pretty simple...post a video of full illum ops fighting that has over 60fps. U can't because no such video exists...unless the person is running the game on a NASA supercomputer or something. Therefore we can say the engine can't handle large scale pvp...its not rocket science just plain fact that anyone with a brain can see. Bu bioware is killing illum in the next patch so I guess we wont have to worry about it...lol
  3. For me its the other way around. I went back recently to start a new char having never done the cata content from 1-60. And Im having tons of fun. Blizz did a pretty amazing job retooling the content and I feel bad having missed out on it for so long. Tons of diversity in questing and u can get a group for ANY instance in less than 10 min. Its a lot of fun going trough the old classic dungeons now that there's no longer 1000s of trash mobs. Needless to say its far superior to the linear "go to this planet and do 100 fetch quests" of swtor.
  4. As hybrid df its extremely easy to get 75k just with frag grenade spam. Even as mostly sawbones I've gotten it with vital shot, back blast, regular nades.
  5. As scoundrel heals I get these medals pretty easily when going for it: 2.5k heal 5k heal 2.5k hit 75k heals 75k damage Killing blow 10 kills Thats 7 I get every match. I also get 25 kills often, 1k/3k defender on alderaan, 300k on voidstar and sometimes others and once in a blue moon solo kill. I'd say I generally average 8 medals per match. That being said U have to work a lot harder for your medals as a healer which is the most annoying thing imo. As dps u get all ur medals save 1 or 2 in like the first 5 min. The medals are there for healers u just gotta work a lot harder for them -_-
  6. Rofl kids still complaining about OP burst? I thought wow forums were bad...the baddies on these forums make them look like pro gramers. OP burst sucked even before the latest surge nerf now its less than useless against anyone with a brain
  7. Its obviously a game/engine issue. If u say ur comp doesnt lag when ur in ilum then ur full of ****. Therefore we can assume the engine can't handle mass amounts of players on the screen at the same time (which anyone could've told u would happen before the zone was introduced since the engine is trash). U get perfect fps everywhere then i drops to 5fps in ilum clearly the comp's fault amirite?
  8. Healing is overpowered in pugs but underpowered against premades. Because of the way "mana" works in this game its pretty much impossible to run out if you know what you're doing so in a pug where no one targets people down 2 healers can easily keep the whole team alive for the entire duration. I've had plenty of voidstars where I solo healed my entire team without much difficulty and that's as a scoundrel. On the other hand in a premade if a person's getting focused down by like 4 people its impossible for a healer to keep them up because there's no "oh crap" buttons in this game like BoP or nature's swiftness. You pretty much have your heals and that's it unless you count sorc shield. Once rated warzones come out they'll have to address this issue since it'll become a lot more prevalent.
  9. Yea...I was already pretty satisfied with scoundrel healing in PvP. Now I'm basically unkillable unless there's at least 3 ppl on me. Scrappers were useless before this patch against anyone half decent anyway so another nerf to dps...meh. If you're dpsing as a scoundrel at this point ur doing it wrong
  10. rofl....are these supposed to be impressive? No....seriously? U took the time to take screenshots of damage that a hybrid healer could do at 50 with some effort and you use them as an argument that the class is fine. Grats on a huge fail
  11. True....I LOL @ anyone calling anything in this game a grind. The biggest "grind" in this game can be obtained by any decent player by pvping for a few hours each day for about a week or two. Anyone who calls anything in SWTOR a grind has probably never played an MMO before
  12. Personally for me there needs to be incentive to stay in the game...as BM the only incentive is winning to get dailys done. I don't really care about people "pvping for the sake of pvping". If I wanted that I'd play an FPS. For an MMO if I have no incentive to play than there's no point in me playing it. I leave at the first sign of a loss because I get nothing from a loss...before 60 I always stayed because I still got plenty of valor. But now...meh. Hate if u want just my 2c
  13. True points but only the last two are applicable to concealement spec. Everything else I do as well with healing spec. In fact u carry the ball much better if your healing and u interrupt much better if u put enough points in DF to get frag grenade. And id still take a marauder/sentinel for a dps train over an OP.
  14. Its funny how many people think concealement is fine because they can still burst down random badly geared pugs. The concept of group usefulness seems to go over people's heads. I can spec hybrid healing and pretty much keep half the team alive solo while having excellent survivability...or i can spec scrapper and pick off the soloing nubs who have no impact in the game. Before the spec was good because u had the potential to do serious damage to tanks, main healers, guarded well geared dps...u know people who actually matter in warzones. Now not so much.
  15. 4-5k while healing specced? Yea I dont think so
