  1. "When I left you I was but a learner, now I am the master."
  2. God I remember playing SWG and getting chills just listening to the loading screen music. Lol. "Oh gawddd I get to continue my ADVENTURE" (the feeling of which is surprisingly absent throughout this game and especially after you hit 50).
  3. It is not needed. They should just continue with the bolster buff at 50 and literally equalize all stats depending on classes, completely taking gear out of the equation and leaving only class balance and skill as the deciding factors. PvP rewards, such as gear, should be more in line with PvE gear, albeit of a lesser caliber, to allow a PvPer the option of being geared enough to at least begin PvE (be it running quests faster, or doing a flashpoint). The rewards would be a starter set basically. A problem I can foresee with this model is that of World PvP, which is unfortunately nonexistent in this game anyways, at least on my server.
  4. My reactions while playing two different storylines: Sith Warrior: Sith Inquisitor: [spacebar]
  5. I should come from WORK so I can pay $15 a month to WORK to gear up my character instead of PLAY for ENJOYMENT.
  6. The biggest problem I've faced while playing this game is that when I log on, I quite literally feel like I'm logging into World of Warcraft in space. No matter how hard I try, it just doesn't feel like Star Wars to me. Questing on planets felt dull the first time around and even more so the second (I admit the class stories themselves are superb). We're CONSTANTLY flanked by unclimbable mountains throughout our whole experience and there is little incentive (if it is even possible) to go off the beaten path and explore the world or to engage in actual world PvP. Once you finish a planet, there is very little reason to go back to it other than for Datacrons, at least for me anyways. Thus, I spend most of my time sitting in the fleet, kind of like how I spent most of my time sitting in Dalaran/Orgrimmar after Burning Crusade. Now, I realize Bioware has stated time and time again that this game is not a sandbox style mmo, but rather a "roller-coaster" themed MMO. For those of you who have been to a theme park, did you ever notice that the third or fourth time you rode the same roller-coaster, it just wasn't as fun? The one time, and yes, the ONE AND ONLY TIME I felt like I was in the Star Wars universe was when I was questing in the vast openness of the Dune Sea. It really felt like I was adventuring through Tattooine, not the Grand Canyon. And don't even get me started on how constrained we are in space. Moving onto the classes, once again I feel that Bioware failed to deliver that Star Wars feel. Playing a Sith Juggernaut feels more like I'm just playing the WoW Warrior class. How many times did a Sith in any of the trilogy movies jump up and smash down, sending electricity in every direction? None. But what other characters have the exact same ability? Hmm... Thunderclap anyone? Sith Inquisitors? Just look at their armor. There is absolutely NOTHING Star Warsy about any of their endgame sets, NOTHING at all. Their new 1.2 PvP armor aesthetics are a joke. I suppose the other classes were done well, although I can't recall any Imperial Agents throughout the movies. I realize that this video game isn't based off of the movies, but honestly, I think the closer they are, both to the setting and the aesthetics, the better. These are just my two cents and why I will not be resubscribing. TL;DR This game doesn't feel like Star Wars, it feels dead, and it feels like World of Warcraft with lightsabers.
  7. All of these, unnecessary, commas, make you, sound, like william, shatner.
  8. Who cares about Superman? Everyone knows Batman is the real bad***** in there.
  9. ***, chess is awesome. Also, http://www.guildwars2.com/en/
  10. IMO force wielding classes should be able to wear any kind of armor the other force wielding types can wear, for example a Sith Assassin wearing Sith Warrior style gear. Purely aesthetic of course with stats resembling those for the specific class allowing for more customization. After all, each force wielder has a unique weapon style (double bladed, dual, single) with the exception of the Sorc/Sage and Jug/Guardian. But how often do sorcs/sages bash you with a lightsaber anyways.
  11. To be completely honest, the only times I EVER care about winning a WZ are for my dailies and Voidstar/Alderaan. Other than that, I'm content with the amount of valor I get from running around and killing others even if it means losing huttball. With so many soccer fields near my home and open fields on my college campus, I get this strong feeling of "Why bother passing a ball around and gaining distance in here when I could call people up and play soccer out there...?" I can't wait until they let us queue specific WZs. Until then, and unless my dailies depend on it, Huttball is just one big deathmatch.
  12. This thread is now about UN Peacekeeping. Please continue. Actually, the UN usually gets involved when there is political turmoil or social unrest where a government is no longer able to maintain law and order, especially during civil wars and often to uphold ceasefires between two parties a.k.a. peacekeeping. They also move in to uphold human rights, but this is not often the case because there is still debate over sovereignty vs. universal human rights. A prime example is Syria, with China and Russia ( Syrian allies and permanent members of the UN Security Council with veto power) vetoing SC resolutions. Economic troubles are usually handled by the World Trade Organization, which can punish its members when they disobey trade policies and norms, or break WTO rules. If they're not members of the WTO, states can reciprocate or send in their own troops with or without UN backing, often without as was the case with Iraq... not that I'm saying the U.S. went in for oil. -shifty eyes-
