  1. I think the argument is that mostly this happens because there is a "wins count x2" incentive on a mission where you must do FIFTY ranked zones to receive the reward. There's a helluva lot of difference between 25 (min zones with all wins) and 50... so therefore a lot of incentive to game the process. Changing it to remove the win incentive, and changing the number to make it more achievable (takes a lot of dedication to do fifty matches), would both help. For casual players like me (I put in about a dozen hours a week), these crazy gearing systems they have rolling now simply mean that I cannot care about gear any longer. Plus, they have tweaked gearing such that it matters quite a bit more than it has in a long time, so basically there's no such thing as a "fun" warzone scenario anymore. I'm nearly to the point of not caring about the game any longer. When the Onslaught announcement came out, I thought, "Oh, Sept.... a couple weeks after my current sub expires. Meh. Too late."
  2. Good ideas, all. And, if you want me to spurge, I suggest a sale on the price of CC. The one and only time I purchased CC was many years ago when Bioware briefly offered it for 2x quantity per price. Do that again, and you'll have my money. Otherwise, all you get is my $13/mo sub fee.
  3. I don't know if this is a technical limitation, but one of the most annoying quality-of-life blocks I experience (regularly) is being forced to drag/drop (with associated confirmation) individual collection items from the CM or any zero-credit item. I rarely bother dressing my characters in custom outfits anymore just because it is so annoying to deal with all the inventory clutter after pulling several outfits out of collections. Please: Let us vendor zero credit items for zero credits. A quick click on the items with a vendor open could clear inventory with ease. Zero credits is zero credits, plus I'm sure the vendors appreciate donations to their future inventory.
  4. Necro'ing this in the hopes that it is reviewed by devs (maybe added to a QoL list?) in this new era of "we're looking for feedback from the forums." While everything previously noted can be easily added to the character name slices on the selection screen, I would also like to see some more information in the main window if a player clicks on a name slice: 1. Companion list with levels (ordered by level, highest to lowest... just like crafting window does it) 2. Conquest points and guild name (if applicable) 3. Lock-outs (including those for FtP/Preferred players) Thank you.
  5. Nice suggestion, Nee; that would, indeed, be a fun diversion! And, it would lend itself well to the "deathmatch" sort of play where players cannot respawn. I also like the comment about being in range to target other players from the starting area: Corellia seems a little annoying because it is the only arena where we cannot do this, but they should really all be this way. As for arenas where we all just run out and kill each other, there are really only so many ways of doing that. Perhaps the only thing we don't have at this point is an urban setting. However, once the novelty wore off, I can see a setting like that being the one everyone will love to hate - particularly since buildings are so stoutly made in the SW universe . But, the best thing you can do for arenas (and warzones in general)? Take gearing out of regs. It has no place there, and most of us who play regs don't give a rat's rear about gear. We're there to have fun on a casual level, and your job as the developers is to enable the enjoyment of your customers. Gear is for ops and ranked: Rewards reflect as much, and the players expect it as part of the "challenge."
  6. Let go of the streaming launcher! It is disaster waiting to happen (like this).
  7. I completely agree! Having a selection sheet of all meaningful character choices that we could queue through before starting later content would be really, really great! I think my character play-through tolerance threshold for the KotFE and KotET lines is about four. After that, I just cannot handle the annoyance level of the game play any longer. I have well over 100 characters, so I definitely feel your pain on this one.
  8. Meh. As a sub who has said story, if they want to offer it for sale as additional content and people buy it, then more power to them! Anyone who subs and stays a sub just for promotional items/content is wasting their money anyway; at least those folks don't need to waste it again! I remember paying for RotHC back in 2013... lots of other folks who came along later didn't have to pay for that content. I wasn't bothered by that, because I enjoyed the content when it was new (and, at that time, it seemed like it mattered! ). I got my money's worth.
  9. Well, it is not working properly, then. In every zone where I experience it, it comes, it goes, and it has no effect on the players.
  10. Reporting back - same behavior observed on the new zone. The acid cloud just doesn't pack the punch it once did.
  11. I am not sure if this is on all arenas or just Rishi Cove, but had a zone last night that hit the timer cap on the first and third round. In both rounds, the timer expiration caused the typical zone audio to play ("Time's up this round, and we have a tie! No ties!"), as well as the green fog to shuffle us to the center. However, as soon as it hit the center, it just disappeared and there was no damage. We just kept fighting until the other team beat us down (which didn't take long, since we were 2v3 at that point both times). I have not had any other rounds go the full time since 5.9.2, so I am not sure if this was specific to Rishi Cove or not. However, I have had the timer expire in that zone before the latest patch, and the fog killed everyone as intended.
  12. Whew! Third time is the charm.... more feed for the hamsters!
  13. Anyone else having their OTPs acting up again? It seems like fifteen minutes is a reasonably generous window to attempt login, receive an email with a code, and type it in. It would seem this should be enough, anyway. The hamsters are slow today.....
  14. Hmm. That's almost exactly what I experience on Darth Malgus. I do better on average for Shan or Forge, but, like you're saying, there are still regular spikes that make things a little more interesting. In particular, the regular spikes really take a way from the experience. If it were only a matter of playing with a consistent 200-300 ms of lag, no problem. Just out of curiosity, what was your lag on Harbinger? Mine was around 150 ms.
  15. Icy: In achievements, under events, game updates... you'll find it there.
