This game has been dumbed down already beyond belief. And so no matter how inconsequential some of these changes seem, it's a shift in paradigm that shouldn't be supported.

Not disagreeing that sorcs are in an overall better spot than mercs right now. However, in group ranked I still much prefer to play merc as I can play it as purely single target dmg and not worry about breaking our CCs on the healer. I've made sorc work in that same role, its just not as smooth with all it's AOE. Just pointing out that people need to realize that mercs are viable for group ranked.

No, people were suggesting that they would trade net and dmg output for a sorc's survivability. I was saying I like where merc is and wouldn't make that trade.

I main a merc and a sorc. Sorcs are in a strong place atm defensively in almost all situations, true enough. Mercs have issues surviving in solo ranked, but that's okay since I wouldn't trade its utility with electro net, damage output, or overall playstyle for more survivability. I don't particularly enjoy playing merc in solo ranked, but in regs and team ranked the survivability isn't weak at all. I run I.O. Merc with a marksman sniper in group ranked and we consistently beat fotm double hatred sins / double AP PTs. Mercs are in a fine spot for team ranked, and that's all that matters in the end.
