I personally love the idea- and really just looking at how they can go about it I dont see too big of an issue for them with trying to earn off it. As others have stated, throw it on the CM. Single character Appearance tab ( x1 ) : _______cc legacy character appearance tab ( x1) ____________cc set something like 3, or 4 unlockable tabs or something, they can even be dastardly and make it bound so you cant pop them on the GTN is they really wanted to- They can also promote he abyss out of it as well and perhaps throw out the usual ( sub by_______and get 1 appearance tab) - possibly a few days to a few weeks before it goes on official sale in the CM sure some people will be happy with just the one - but the potential pay off is those whom may be on the fence, or initially against the idea of spending may get bit by the vanity bug and end up unlocking more tabs- and its a good way for subs to flaunt the new system a little faster so non subs get sorta glossy eyed and get more pumped to spend money when it goes live, or sub just to get the gift. so pretty win there, and as its been said before- people would be more willing to spend money on all the outfits they throw out. Biggest reason I dont drop money in the CM, or even the GTN on gear I really really really like all boils down to the swapping in and out mods. Me personally? Id swap outfits in and out ore and spend more on dyes and such in the long run.

During the outbreak event on Ebonhawk we had a game of " plague" red rover going. we played out next to the jawa trader,- basically you lined up like red rover, rep on one side, imp on the other...when you hit stage 2 of the illness you ran over into the other side, and let them pop you, thus infecting themselves. repeat to and fro, sometimes the field would be so littered with bodies we had to have line reps from both sides serve as refs to call a time out to get the dead players revived and cleared out. was a wonderful and fun way to farm DNA but also just tease and have fun bantering over /say with the different sides.... there was a group going constantly, sometimes smaller, sometimes massive - never a melt down and those who showed up to grief and generally be immature *****s were rare, and pretty much shunned for interrupting

I'd personally kill for a different marker for NPC's giving group missions /heroics/ops etc... even if its say a triangle with a different colour. I tend to forget which ones have dailies and such when I do have people around whom want to run them or know to avoid them when Im soloing and just cant be bothered

I personally didnt mind it being the cost it is: Say I wanted a chiss smuggler- but really didnt want to go through the story for the classes chiss are available for ( or may have already done them s something else) my options at that point would be to buy the species unlock with CC, buy said unlock on the GTN, or spend the 1,500,000 credits for them as a legacy unlock so having to get cathar off the GTN ( and Ive seen them cheaper than the legacy unlock) or the Cartel Market ( and I get 600/mo ) really is no different than what was already in place when you think about it. Which is nice for me, Im usually tight on credits anyway because I support a mass of alts, and dont do fp, or even dailies very often ( no Im not saying its hard to make credits, just acknowledging my own laziness)

It's a zennish thing- Basically the idea is to be able to set aside the myriad things - and continue on, allowing them to come to you and experience them as they truly are. the problem is more than a fw versions of the Jedi order got overzealous, suddenly things like " attachment" became only related to romance- yes its hard to loose a loved one etc- but the problem in that is countless eons before, and after where it was no big deal save for a FEW cases so in trying to clamp down on that the order in itself became attached to more of a dogmatic commandment rather than a perceptive philosophy people can cling to and become attached to all things- and in this some versions of the order became attached to their own fear of love and loss and thought it best to stamp it out completely rather than have to experience and work through it no shock the strictest version of the order also tended to nearly be wiped out , and it was thrown utterly out the window by the NJO because they realized it was a flawed logic. though the irony being not everyone on this current council is exactly innocent of breaking that idea themselves

the only thing I've seen was a comment to the Nautolan on Coruscant who's wife left him and became a dancer- when he's ranting on about injustice for nonhumans my Cathar said she never noticed feeling held back etc etc, and he states " perhaps because your look more human or this or that, etc.... the exact same lines my Twi'Lek smuggler got, and my pureblood Consular ( though the pureblood they tend to refer to her more often as human and SOMETIMES a generic alien comment... so with that in mind, on top of no other species comments where Ive usually seen them its a safe bet it wont be any different

cant really say, Ive not looked much at them purely because none of my gear on any of my characters have dye slots except for one, but it's already exactly how I like it. my assassin's skirt is dye-able but shes in a security top which cant be colourd, but Id most likely go green/gray just to be rid of that yellow and looks good on her red skin

we had a fun thread during beta finding the misplaced reflection maps. on the rep station, you can find most readily on reflective bits of wall, the floor REALLY stands out...and go look really closely at some of the astromech droids heads - all imp maps also we've seen tatooine maps on droids and armours even when your on - say- belsavis or hoth it was almost as much fun finding those as going on and on about our beloved " . like I mentioned in another thread: Im personally not that upset with this one myself- the only thing really getting me was the dye system - and even then im not " that" upset at it- I dislike that buying them is a gamble - I dislike that it's " primary OR secondary, you cant do both unless you get a mixed set and then your limited to "what we grouped". but its not too bad if you dont want to spend cc, I don't spend on the cartel market when it shows up on the GTN, some are insanely priced but Ive seen some going for a thousand credits or less, not always the colours I would want- but now and then Ive seen things like the dark red and white really cheap. I admit my biggest disappointment was seeing that I could not dye my security dancers top I have on my pure blood inquisitor, I have her going for this voodoo queen sort of look and the yellow looks horrid on her red skin, and it makes her skirts a sickly pale gold- I can dye the skirt but I need to find a black/black combo or something that goes good with the yellow like a dark green as a primary. There are a few things I would have liked to have seen done differently... personally Im fine with the CC option, and hell even the one time use thing I can deal with IF they let me pick each colour I wanted individually ( this still allows for rare colours to be in packs) secondary and primary should not be an " either or" sort of situation, and as I said about that yellow, black imp top- you would have thought that should have been dyeable, and even with a " mixed" dye kit, in preview it only changed the yellow the secondary only shows up on the clothes you have matched to chest

I have spent exactly 0 - Im happy with my 600 or so I get every month almost everything I end up wanted I find on the GTN anyway and I don't have to gamble

I've seen more than a few males running around in their skivvies so I assume the energy bottoms are still around: and the dancer/slave gear I rather enjoy actually - then again it depends I think on an individual's aim for what they are trying to create visually. My Pure blood inquisitor, and my pureblood shadow both use the security key dancer tops to do with the normal styled skirts they get forced into- the whole thing creates this sort of voodoo-esk sort of priestess sort of look to them. My sent, smuggler, agent, and bh however all wear more gear fitting them " though the agent and sent both have middrift showing tops, but largely it's all the eye of the beholder

you know as far as feline species in star wars, there are a TON of other ones as well, Cathar are far from the only ones: togorian , Horanzi, cantrosian, bothan, fras etc etc etc so I cant say they dont fit, though there is a distinct lack of many species to start with Perhaps if they had more examples of canine species like Shistavanens or Defel or something to off set it it may not be as stand out-ish to people

the biggest issue is this" imp, and rep versions of some worlds do NOT happen at the same time" , so the reality is one story is taking place days to months before the other one - everything else you need to ignore whats mechanics for story from that perspective.
