  1. Really the whole group thing sucks on swtor. I'm hoping it will get better at end game, but for now there are numerous problems. 1. It's nearly impossible to find group members once you group with them. The map is just so screwed up if you need to find where someone is in order to try to tell them how to get to the instance. 2. Finding a group is a pain. There isn't a decent tool. Yes I know people seem to think that the whole lfg tool is a horrible idea. Guess what they said he same thing in wow, then they put it in place. A few months later there weren't any complaints. Who really wants to login and spend half an hour getting a group together before they can even play? I'd prefer to spend as little time as possible getting into groups. In essence, anything that allows me to spend more time making my character better and killing things is good. Anything that requires me to do tedious work is a pain and shouldn't be in the game. So far swtor has done a great job, but I'm still going to have reservations until I hit 50 and see what end game is like.
  2. Shoot I dressed up as Darth Vader one year and went trick or treating. Still Republic ftw, more potential targets.
  3. Hey I'm going Republic as soon as I get in. Although playing Empire does have it's temptations, mostly I won't feel bad choosing dark side choices when I want to lol. I'm assuming that half the populations on both sides will be stupid and won't know how to play their characters at all. So at 3 to 1 odds that means there will be more than three times as many of those idiots for me to kill in pvp if I go Republic lol. I'd rather be in a target rich environment.
  4. Luckily for people that prefer just saying que, since it's shorter and less prone to being misspelled, English happens to be a living language. Unlike Latin you can't just say a word should always be spelled the same. Majority rules, or well at least super majority does. If 90% of the population in an area decides that we should have a different spelling for a word then it tends to happen. For example color and colour. Obviously we Americans decided that the extra U was just a pain and served little purpose, and resulted in people being dumb and not being able to spell, so we removed it. Looks like the same will happen with the word queue, eventually everyone will just say que and the word queue will be put into the English language history books or some junk. This doesn't even take into account all of the words that have been created, and all of the new meanings to words. Sorry to say, but the English language is always changing, keep up or shut up lol.
  5. Yeah it's kind of funny, I could swear they shut down a bunch of threads and directed people to post only on that one, and then they deleted it lol.
  6. Knew it. Of course if there was one wave left they would have just pushed and got us all in. But if there are like 2 or 3 waves then it totally makes sense. Would have been nice if they just said that. The only thing even close to that I think I heard was that today only up to the end of November was planned. Still it's not the same as hearing, we have 3 waves left, or how many they actually have.
  7. What you mean like trying to calm people down in these types of events. I'd love the job lol. Of course I would do everything I could to avoid such situations. Someone should either tell us that there are like three or four waves left, or if there is only one should have tried to get that last wave in. Right now I almost feel like there is only a single wave left and I'm stuck in it. Of course there are probably actually at least two or three waves left, which explains why they wouldn't just push to get the last of us in. Either way as long as I get in Friday I'm doing great. Just would have liked a bit more information. Back on day one I was just praying I'd get in like Sunday lol.
  8. Who needs SWTOR, we have a forum filled with comments asking for a bonus wave
  9. Let's just post bonus wave so many times that it crashes all the servers of course I doubt that the forums are on the same servers as the game.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if there are like 2 more waves left, maybe 3. Issue is there are probably a lot of people that purchased the game because it's getting near to Christmas. I'd guess that recent orders have been about as dense as the end of November orders were (black friday).
  11. Well I guess I'm going to go do some work, that way I won't have to do it tomorrow lol. Going to really suck for anyone that has work tomorrow lol.
  12. Not everyone is in, I know I'm not. Then again I ordered the game like a whole 2 days ago. I'm really hoping I get in today, but if not I suppose I'll live with that. Especially since work tomorrow would be hell after a night playing swtor and wanting to get back to it lol.
  13. Screw all of that junk with pre-order CE's. I ordered a digital download version to get the pre-order code and make sure I could get in not matter what happened. Then on the 20th I'm walking into some retailers, if they have a CE edition I'll buy it, if they don't then forget it. If I do get a CE then I'll just give my digital copy away as a Christmas present, if I don't then I'll just keep it myself.
  14. I tend to disagree with what you said in point 2 and 3. There is a very small minority that cares about those points. The real problem is point 1, and people that have a problem with point 1 are willing to look at point 2 and 3 as additional problems. If they would just fix point 1 everything would be solved. I understand that they didn't want to release hard numbers on when people would get in, but they didn't even give us soft numbers. They could have solved this months ago, right when they announced early game access. Split everyone into groups of 10k, and tell them what group they are in when they register. Yeah perhaps that means something like 50-100 or even more groups, but it gives everyone an idea of where they are in line. Since each wave has been about 50k players that means that you just say groups x through y have been invited in wave whatever. Don't announce before hand when waves will go out or how many people will be in each wave. That way if you need to slow down waves or do less people for a wave nobody is really disappointed. But people will in theory know that they will be in the next 10 groups or they will know they are 50 groups away and likely to be waiting a day or two. My problem is that I just registered a few days ago. I'm not sure when I'm getting in because I don't know how many more waves there are between me and where they are right now. If I just knew if I was 2 waves away or 10 waves away I'd be fine. But this not knowing junk is driving me crazy.
  15. Being a December order sucks, I registered like two days ago. Really hoping that I get in today, but considering that BW hasn't said they are letting everyone in I'm kind of doubting I will get in oh well here's to hoping that they manage to get to the end of the list.
