  1. I'm curious, (I'm not discrediting what you say in any situation) but your best dps, what class and what gear (can you be specific)? We've just hoping to clean up Hard mode tonight as a guild, we've got a little bit of rakata (140 rating gear) but overwhelmingly we are wearing 136 gear or worse. It's only a supposition but potentially to complete nightmare the majority of the players will need full 140 (or as near as possible) ?
  2. Thanks for all the replies to my letter, there are many issues and you guys have highlighted many more, my real desire is to have some structured engagement with the developers who work on this area to prioritise what needs to be done what should be done and what would be nice to have and then have a structured way to let the player base know, I appreciate that many things take time and so it would be good to know what to expect for the first content update, what to expect for second etc
  3. To Whom it may concern, I would firstly like to state, this is not aimed as 'whine' or general distaste of the user interface in its current form, however it is a request that effort in the immediate term be assigned to improving it. After spending the best part of every day since launch using it, there are multiple areas that have begun to show they have not been aggressively tested. Options and settings between session changes are not persisted and this is frustrating, not least is the LOCK option for quick bars, randomly (it seems) this will unlock, and usually you find out about this in the middle of a boss fight. Furthermore, there is a general inconsistency regarding rounding between various areas of the UI, no more is this obvious on the health bar, where the Party Frame, Operations Frame and Personal frame all report different values, this can be tested by having say 10000.5 health. In the Operations frame, it will round down, in the Party frame it rounds up, and in the personal UI it rounds UP also. That said, I can't actually see the underlying health value (to the decimal place) because it is not actually shown anywhere, including in the Character UI. This letter is not the most ideal area to outline individual issues within the UI and I just wished to cite a couple of examples that to me and my friends at the very least seem very obvious shortcomings in the way the UI performs. I appreciate that there are many pressures on the team when developing the game and that an acceptable level of readiness was reached for launch on the 20th of December. That said, moving forward I would like to see engagement from the development team with both casual and hardcore players to find out where the UI lacks, especially in areas such as Operations and Flashpoints vs Storyline content. Healers for example are having harder times in operations as there is no way to flag which players are Tanks and which are other healers etc, so that appropriate attention can be given to those players. EA recently launched Battlefield 3, and with that a bug reporting site was also set up, although it has been met with varied success I wonder what Bioware feels appropriate ways to submit and compile bug reports from the community? To me at the very least, it seems a bit vague to submit a CSR ticket and then some days later to receive a standard template email saying it has been forwarded to the relevant department. There is no ability for me or any of my friends to adequately submit supporting material, such as a video or a screenshot. Neither can this be done via the website forms for CSRs. With the inability to transfer characters from live to PTR providing accurate feedback on level 50 content is not feasible and therefore I don't feel comfortable submitting these issues in the PTR for fear they may be inaccurate and dilute the sub forum with superfluous information. In summary as I feel I have somewhat wandered. I would like to know the following: 1) How are UI fixes and improvements (both Userbility and features) prioritized, do they for have their own team and are we likely to see changes in the near mid or long term? 2) Will Bioware been engaging with various player groups/player types within the community to work out what is required/wished for by those groups, and will/can this be held in a public way, or at the very least cliff notes from such meetings be made available for further digress by the community at large? Thanks Martin Ellis - Malard - Luka Sene
  4. Well, I got one today, and can't find a single schematic to buy/learn etc to use it.
  5. Just a warning, if you do Taral V on Hard Mode the last boss still has lvl 32 drops in its loot table, which is somewhat disappointing after all the effort getting to him. @Bioware, any chance you can correct this in the next patch?
  6. based on both the OP and the follow up reply, I can only assume neither of you are at level 50 yet, and because of the lack of a level cap on slicing skill, your making more money than you should (or were) for your level. At level 50 although the return on slicing was acceptable, at over 1hour to complete a mission it was far faster to go round Ilum and either kill a few mobs or complete a daily or two. Although I am not exactly flush with cash, that has been due to my desire to improve my Armortech ability and I am fully aware that is a money sink
  7. I just did a 4 man group on normal Directive 7 ( for republic ) and found that after killing mentor and trying to escape via the shuttle, the game would CTD for all 4 of us. I hope that gets fixed soon
  8. Paste the contents of the email that states that!
  9. thanks for the update, can you say if you plan to clear July pre-orders today?
