  1. If you can handle it and manage your resource without playing Health Limbo with every single fight, I don't give two flying flips if healers DPS every so often. But I do have to share my concerns with some of your comments: "- I WILL NOT heal you unless around 3/4 of your health is diminished." So....Let's just say I'm tanking, you are healing. Im not topped off and one of my CDs is on cooldown when all of a sudden the boss swings around and sucker-punches me for more then a good portion of my health? He then comes around again and does another attack that takes the rest of my health before either: My CD is finished or you cant get a heal off. Usually not a good situation; if anything, at least keep your tanks topped off! It helps, believe me! Or what about our DPS? The ones killing the enemies? What happens if they get smacked by a powerful AOE or, le gasp!, the boss has no aggro table? Just keeping them at 3/4th health isn't going to cut it if they have that big fella chasing them all around the zone. "- I DO NOT have unlimited amount of energy. So don't pester me about healing you when I have no freaking energy." Watch your overhealing/how much you DPS. Like I said, keeping people topped off is a good thing and a little more DPS never hurt in the long run but too much of either can be a very bad thing. Don't assume anything but expect everything: If you're not sure on how well the fight if gunna go, don't go blowing your resources all at once. "- If I'm getting attacked, Im not just going to stand there and keep healing you. I have to defend myself first." Luckydo, if you're being attacked, run towards the tank so he/she can pluck that enemy off of you. Healing generates a good amount of threat; pop a defensive CD or a stun if its stunnable and let your shield get threat back. Chances are, they can take those hits a lot better then you can.
  2. At work: Surprising good. We had a wedding party and a high school reunion hold our little Hotel hostage ( AKA sold out) but really no issues. Did have one lady who tried to check in at 8:30 though checkout is at 11:00. o-0? Home: Exhausted from work and got drenched from being caught in the rain. Fiddled around on SWTOR for a bit then ran off to watch Dust: An Elysian Tail on Youtube; that, a nice hot shower, and a bottle of Dr. Pepper made it all better. ^-^
  3. Two of them, both Smuggler related - When we walk into the Chemworks factory to trigger the burnout: "Oh great, More swamp gas?! Oh that's great....I don't think I can hold my breath the whole time we're on Taris!" Oh Corso....You so silly. And when we go to that outpost for the Rakghoul serum, when the droid asked about symptoms: "I could go for a Nerf-Burger. Does that count?"
  4. Lovey, we might see a drop when people go to investigate ESO and see if it's worth playing or not. It typically happens when something new pops up. Yet: Some might stay without even considering ESO. Some might say goodbye and leave for good. Some might say goodbye but come back after a length of time. It generally depends on the person in question. As for it being an "MMO Killer", that is one opinion that's really up in the air at this point. A lot of fans point fingers at MMOs and say "So and So will destroy this game when it's released". My opinion, personally? SWTOR has kept on trucking for a good two years. I think it's still got some life left in it no matter what another fanbase says. ^.~
  5. -big hugs for you!- I just hit 25 on my Merc Healer and I have been having a lot of Heat issues, especially moments when my Vent Heat is on CD and the enemy suddenly tosses out a junk load of damage on the party. Some of the tips and tricks you've recommended have really helped clear up a lot of things and I look forward to trying them come next FP run.
  6. Just finished listening to Two Steps from Hell - Archangel - Strength of a Thousand Men. Such good battle music! <3 Now my MP3 is currently rocking out to Daughtry's new album, Baptized. "Waiting for Superman" <- Awesome song of awesome and I never get tired of listening to it.
  7. And here my Dad says that games are for kids. I should show him this thread one of these days. (Though he'd likely blow a gasket about it so I won't risk it.) 25 year old Hotel Front desk clerk here so I can't quite join this club yet. I still think it's really neat to see some of y'all in game and running around with us "whippersnappers".
  8. Heyla guys. Let me start off by saying that ever since I picked up my Sith as a tank, I've been enjoying the heck out of it. Honestly? Ive never had this much enjoyment even when I tried it on WoW. To be frank? I can't wait until Im considered ready to try HMs and Operations! But I do have some questions and I would appreciate it if you would be willing to offer some advice. Please note - My Sith is only level 28ish at the moment and I realize that he does not have all of his defensive abilities. 1) Where is a good webpage to read up on fights for Flashpoints and Operations? 2) Is there a UI option so that I could adjust buff sizes and cast times for enemies? (I can't see small writing very well and when Im focused on running out of a bad spot, this would make it easier for me to notice at a moment's time.) 3) Who would you consider the "best" person in a group to put Guard on? Healer or the DPS that's stealing aggro? 4) What's the best way to snag aggro of a mostly ranged enemy group? (Ive been having some problems with this recently; especially when people focus fire on an enemy Im out of range of.) 5) Do you time your CDs based on the CD of the enemies abilities or the strength of the attack? Also, any other advice you could offer would be more then welcomed. =] Please and thank you!
  9. Korriban, Sith Inquisitor storyline. I don't remember the exact wording, but it was (I believe) something like the following. He finishes explaining the next trial and something along the lines of: "So, any other stupid questions?" My character: "Have you ever noticed how the sands of Korriban get into everything?" I admit, I laughed so hard at that; the NPC looked like he was ready to strangle my character after that wise-crack comment.
  10. You're playing SWTOR when you hear someone pounding on your front door, opening it to see your Main character (or your current favorite for those with multiples) standing in front of you. How would you react and what would you do?
  11. Here in SWTOR? Nothing yet (-fingers crossed-) In WoW? Oh, I got a stupid reason. Zul'Aman when it was re-vamped in Cata. My bow broke before the third boss and I kindly asked if anyone had a repair mount so I wouldn't have to zone out. They said "no" so I said brb. Pop out, repair, and bounce back in less then two minutes. I was about past the Bear platform when I got: "You have been kicked from the group" -.- Seriously?
  12. Heyla guys, Ive been having some thoughts for the past few hours now. I enjoy playing ranged classes; never been terribly fond of being one of those in the melee mess of things during a fight. 1) My reaction time isn't the greatest in the world and I tend to miss things up close. 2) Too many graphics on the ground can make me miss a warning and step in something I shouldn't. These among other things....The point is this: I rolled an Imperial Sniper (Currently level 12) and Im not sure what to make of it, save for the good storyline. Should I stick with it? Or try another ranged class? What would you guys suggest?
  13. I'm bi-factional: Jedi Sage: I enjoy healing in the MMOs I do and The Sage has always struck me as the perma-lightside kinda character. Im a good person and I heal the wounds of others; it's a win-win! :Dd Imperial Sniper: Absolutely LOVING the storyline so far and my Agent is only level 11ish right now. Im excited for whats to come later on in her story. Plus, Im enjoying the "lol" moments as a Light-sided Imperial. (I already got a lecture from Keeper about how "soft" I was. Jerk. >>)
  14. -headscratch- I haven't seen the roadmap and, quite frankly, I don't give two flips of a wookie about it. I just re-subbed a day ago and I'm enjoying things as they come. I'll judge the content when I hit the level area/when I reach it/when it comes out. =] This helps me enjoy the game a bit more when I take things as they come. Lot less stressful too.
  15. Of course I will! I love this game so far, not to mention Im willing to be patient on the buggy issues. The game is only a month old after all and not everything can be fixed right off the bat in development and beta, right? I might have to un-sub for a bit due to financial issues but hopefully a new job will come when I move. :Dd Then i'll be back, blasters and lightsabers blazing! (And hopefully enough money for a desktop to play on so I can use my lappy for school stuff.)
