  1. As soon as I saw the rancor mount, I knew it was going in the cartel market. I would love for it to be exclusive for PvP, but I also know bioware likes money. Hopefully they make the cartel market one unique enough that it can easily be distinguished from the PvP. Make it have a baby bib, or a dunce cap. Better yet, have the rancor carry the player in its arms like it is whisking the player off to a night of hot and heavy rancor love. Now I wish I had a rancor.
  2. This isn't really PT specific, but the debuff tracking in this game sucks. I hate that the bleed for PTs looks exactly like the bleed for marauders. So, first question: Why does the debuff tracking in this game suck so hard? I mostly PVE-tank on my PT. PTs are in a really good spot, and I can't really complain about anything. The only weak spot is our number of DCDs, but our passive mitigation makes up for that. One thing I don't like in PVE-DPS is that out gap-closer is slow compared to other MDPS. Grapple is not really useful in PVE, and hydraulic override is slow in comparison to force speed, jumps, rolls, ect. Next question would be: Are there any plans to improve mobility in PVE that won't break PVP? Oh yah, ask for more pve damage too.
  3. Slychar, Shield Tech, 36-7-3, 13'38.6 http://www.torparse.com/a/594700 http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/d5b823e1-2048-4a34-a260-b68b67b946d7 can i haz fird place pt spot. kthnxbai
  4. Zalindae, I will hit you up if you are not busy. Anyone else want to be my friend?
  5. I am in a raiding guild but no one PvPs. I am currently PvPing on my alt sorcerer with no one to play with me and solo queue is so lonely. I see PvP active guilds but I am too shy to talk to them. Will someone be my friend?
  6. I have played one of every tank class in this game and PT is my favorite. PTs have high passive mitigation. They have few defensive CDs and their rotation is very simple. It is probably the easiest tank class to play at the moment and would be good to play if you are a bit rusty. As far as gearing goes, KBN has a thread that tells you how to gear optimally: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=616779 On the DPS side, I would say that PTs are mid pack. In 2.6, their Pyro/AP hybrid spec will be nerfed. I don't know good they will be after the nerf.
  7. I may be wrong about this, but doesn't the fact that the arkanian RW has to proc twice pull down it's average damage absorb per second. For instance if a boss has a swing timer of 2 seconds, then it will roughly 6.6 seconds before either relic will proc once it is off CD For the arkanian, the average absorption per second for two procs would be: 740 * 2 / 53.2 = 27.8 dmg/sec For dreadforged: 1360 / 46.6 = 29.1 dmg/sec
  8. Raptus's threat table is weird. The weirdness occurs after a tank is knocked into the air and he lands. Sometimes Raptus will immediately swap back to the former tank (even when that tank hasn't touched Raptus yet.) Also, after the challenges, Raptus will switch aggro to the kiter even after a taunt and a good amount of threat on Raptus done by a tank. I have a theory as to what is happening to his threat table. I wanted to see if it matched up to other people's experience. My theory is that the threat values are saved after an event and reset to the saved value a time later. The easiest to explain is the change of aggro on the tanks: 1) The current tank's threat is saved as a variable A. 2) That tank's threat is set to zero and he is sent flying. 3) The second tank taunts getting 110% (or 130%) of the threat of the current highest threat. (NOT A; that tank's aggro is set to zero.) Call the current threat B. 4) The air tank lands and his threat is set from zero to A. 5) If A is more than 130% of B, then Raptus will go after the formerly airborne tank. As for the challenges: 1) The called out target is focused by Raptus. His threat is always set to be 130% of the second highest target. 2) The threat of everyone else is saved as a collection of variables. Their current threat is set to zero as they move through the portals. 3) The tank comes out of his challenge and taunts Raptus. They are focused and have 130% of the kiter's aggro. 4) Shortly after the challenges are completed, the threat of everyone who went through the portal is set back to their former threat. 5) If the kiter's threat is 130% of the tanks' original threat, the tanks will lose aggro. That is my best guess as to how his threat table works. I am not 100% convinced that the challenge idea is correct. I was hoping others could contribute so Raptus is less weird.
  9. Many of our raiders this week are busy doing IRL things and we will be missing them. I would thinking of trying to recruit again, but recruitment is a pain since un-guilded people can be very unreliable and not many people want to switch guilds. I would like to start a more reliable way of picking up pugs that can actually do the highest level of content. If you are like me, you have a ton of alts (I play all the healers) that are in full 61+ that don't use their lockouts and you would like to raid with them. Or maybe you main doesn't get pulled into a raid and you would like to make some credits on the side. I would like to start a list or a channel in game dedicated to people that are familiar with hard/Nim content that are looking for employment or looking to gear their alts. I was hoping people could advertise their services for gear or credits and the times they could be available. Either in thread or spamming the channel. For example, if my main didn't get pulled into HM TfB: Name: Slygar Class: Healing Operative Content: Available HM TfB (Full Clear Experience) Available: Wednesday Night Cost: 150k per hour + repair cost or something similar spammed in the channel. If it was my alt, the cost I would place "gear rolls until I get a piece of gear" or something indicating I was looking to gear my alts. If you are interested, you can post in this thread. If you think this is a terrible idea, you can post in this thread. I am looking for feedback. For now, I think the channel should be /empirePUGS. I will be lurking in the channel come raid time.
  10. I don't know what your character name is. If you can send my main (Slygar) a mail, I can cod you the gloves.
  11. If you are still looking, you can check out our site. We are lacking 1-2 RDPS for our main raid. You might not be able to jump into HM TfB or NiM EC right away, but we usually run the hell out of things for BH comms to gear our alts. It is best to look for a guild that fits your personality. Our guild is absolutely not for everyone, but I just wanted to let you know we exist. Good luck in your guild search.
  12. This is my operative. http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/a595/Slygar/Slygar1_zpsb97282a5.png This is my sniper. http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/a595/Slygar/Slygoose1_zps9323b82f.png
  13. I think it might be that there is no imperial agents in the movies (I think).
  14. Thank you all for the interest so far. I have been able to get in contact with a few of you and, if I haven't yet, I will be trying to get in contact in-game soon.
  15. Semita Khaos is looking for a guild merger. We have lost several core members over the past few months and haven't had great luck in recruitment. By trying to gear recruits, the guild has been stuck in a tier one loop for a couple months. (We seem to lose members at the same rate we gain them. Perpetual HM EV/KP farm.) Some of our members want to get back in HM EC and see the new op. (We were 2/4 after a few nights of attempts. The progression group fragmented shortly after downing the second boss and before we could attempt the third.) Here are the things we are looking in a guild: Most of our players are casuals. Op attendance mustn’t be mandatory. Impromptu EV and KP ops would be a big plus. Must be seriously attempting HM EC and SM TfB. Adult 18+ and the big one... We don't want a guild that has rules as to what it cannot talk about. Most of us joke and laugh about horrible things. At some point, we are going to say something that will offend someone. It's a person's right to be offended and to articulate their offense. We just don't want to be around the overemotional people that become malicious when they are offended. Feel free to message me in game if you have any questions.
