  1. You could convert commendations in Beta. They removed that functionality when the game went Live though, unfortunately.
  2. That's an excellent way to level, but like I mention in the guide you have to be very careful not to out-level the planets or you'll end up doing missions for almost no reward: 10,000+ experience per mission versus just 5 experience per mission when grey.
  3. Yeah, I considered that, but there really isn't any other forum to really post it in so I figured this one fit it best.
  4. This guide is aimed at those desiring to get their character to max level as fast as possible. However, please note that by following this guide you will be missing out on the full game experience that truly makes this game feel special, and is therefore recommended to those levelling alts. With that being said I will get straight to the guide, which is presented as a list of tips for different methods you can follow to level as quickly as possible... 1) MISSIONS * The primary method of levelling is by doing missions. * They give big experience payouts when done at level. * It is also important to note that if you gain too much experience from doing other activities (Flashpoints, PvP, etc) that you may out-level a planet at which point missions will give very little experience, making them grant almost no payout for a lot of time and effort, therefore you almost always want to keep your levelling curve to match your current planet. * Certain planet mission series are required to be completed in order to unlock level 50 dailies. * Planets, for the regular mission series, can be started at any time as long as you meet the level requirements, they do not need to be done in order. * However, you cannot progress your Class story without doing your Class mission series on the planets in order. * Bonus missions (those that appear for doing something a little extra while on a mission) should always be completed BEFORE completing the main mission and should almost always be done. They grant a lot of "free" experience for doing something in the area that you're already in, but if you complete the main mission before fully completing the bonus one you will automatically cancel the bonus mission and lose out on its extra experience. * Conversely, Bonus Series missions should *not* be done. These usually take you far out of the way on missions that most other people on the planet are not likely doing and cannot help you with. The only time you should consider doing these missions, when speed levelling, is if you don't quite meet the level requirements for the next planet yet, and still there are usually faster and better methods to get to that level instead. * Don't waste time trying to get groups for Heroic missions. These missions are usually not essential for completing a planet or its story and can effectively be considered as "extra" missions. Grab the missions when you encounter them and hold on to them until you're done the planet. If you see another group forming for these then you can join that group and get it done, but keep in mind sometimes people in groups will take their time getting together and you will waste precious levelling time. Another thing to remember is that all Heroic missions are dailies, if you're on a planet over more than one day you can always run them again if you see another group forming. Also, Heroics can almost always be shared, so even if you haven't encountered one on the planet then you can always jump into a forming group and ask them to share (do it first thing in the group because sometimes they can't be shared and you will have wasted everyone's time if it can't be and you don't find out until later). * Stay focused, don't get distracted by exploring, finding groups, recovering Datacrons, crafting, GTN trolling, etc. * Note: If you skip doing Flashpoints you will need to do them all in normal mode in order to unlock the hard mode level 50 versions, if you plan on gearing for PvE. If you skip doing PvP then you will have to grind your Valor rank up to 60 if you plan on gearing for PvP. Here is a list of the planets and their expected level requirements... Republic: 01-10 Tython (Jedi Knight/Consular starting) 01-10 Ord Mantell (Trooper/Smuggler starting) 10-16 Coruscant 16-20 Taris 20-24 Nar Shaddaa 24-28 Tatooine 28-32 Alderaan 32-36 Balmorra 36-37 Quesh 37-41 Hoth 41-44 Belsavis 44-47 Voss 47-50 Corellia 50 Ilum Empire: 01-10 Korriban (Sith Warrior/Inquisitor starting) 01-10 Hutta (Bounty Hunter/Imperial Agent starting) 10-16 Dromund Kaas 16-20 Balmorra 20-24 Nar Shaddaa 24-28 Tatooine 28-32 Alderaan 32-36 Taris 36-37 Quesh 37-41 Hoth 41-44 Belsavis 44-47 Voss 47-50 Corellia 50 Ilum 2) SPACE MISSIONS * Space missions can be repeated as much as you want. * If you blast everything in a level you can get a ton of experience over a relatively short amount of time. * You must keep your ship up-to-date with the latest upgrades. Cybertech spaceship upgrades are practically required for making it through these levels effortlessly. Visit your GTN to buy the latest upgrades or make them yourself if you're a Cybertech (schematics must be discovered from Slicing missions or just purchased off the GTN). * There is some "twitch" skills required to do these, so if you lack those then these missions likely aren't for you and will be a waste of time. There are a few guides out there on how to be a better pilot for these and it's out of context for this guide, but I suggest you check them out if you're having problems. * Grab the Space Daily missions from the terminal on your ship. Only grab those that are green or above. * Space missions always have Bonus missions in them which you should always try to complete. * Over time these missions can become really repetitive and thus tedious, but for the ultimate solo option for levelling nothing can beat space missions: there's no travel time, no groups to find, the missions are always readily available, there's no repair costs, gearing is very straightforward, and there are tons of enemies to kill for lots of experience. * Note: If you level exclusively on Space missions you will miss out on gear for your actual character, but that can be countered by buying the gear from the GTN when you reach max level, as long as your server has a healthy population. You will also need to do some max-level planet missions to unlock level 50 dailies. Finally, you will need to do all Flashpoints in normal mode in order to unlock the hard mode level 50 versions, if you plan on gearing for PvE. 3) FLASHPOINTS * Flashpoints offer great experience and excellent gear. However, they are usually hard to find a group for. * Normally you should only try to do these if you see a group forming, otherwise you can waste a lot of time looking for a group. You can also bring up the "Who" window and type "lfg" in the search box, which will bring up a list of everyone in your faction on any planet that has their looking for a group flag turned on, and then form up your own group if there are enough people looking. * If you have a group of 3 friends though, that fill all the roles needed, you can get in and through Flashpoints incredibly fast making them the number one way to level quickly. * The main mission for Flashpoints can always be grabbed in front of the entrance to the Flashpoint. These can be shared as well. They are repeatable as much as you want. * There are usually Bonus missions within Flashpoints that you should always try to complete if using this method. * There are Flashpoint Daily missions available on your Fleet for level relevant Flashpoints. Always grab these as well (they can be shared). * In summary, with a steady group Flashpoints are the best levelling option for PvE. * Note: If you level exclusively on Flashpoints you will need to do some max-level planet missions to unlock level 50 dailies. Here is a list of the Flashpoints and their expected level requirements... 08-11 The Esseles (REP) 08-11 The Black Talon (EMP) 17-21 Hammer Station 21-24 Athiss 24-27 Mandalorian Raiders 25-29 Cademimu 27-33 Taral V (REP) 27-33 Boarding Party (EMP) 27-34 Maelstrom Prison (REP) 27-34 The Foundry (EMP) 37-41 The Colicoid War Game 41-45 The Red Reaper 45-49 Directive 7 45-50 The Battle of Ilum 45-50 The False Emperor 50 Kaon Under Siege 4) WARZONES * PvP is also a great way to level up, but can be very frustrating for those that do not enjoy it or on servers where one faction is vastly "superior". * Queue times can be long sometimes, such as if you're not playing during peak hours, there is a faction imbalance on your server and your faction greatly outnumbers the other faction, your server has a low population, and so on. * Warzones on their own offer lots of experience for doing things in them, such as killing opponents and achieving objectives. * There is a Warzone Daily mission available on your Fleet ship, make sure you grab this every day if using this method. * A nice bonus to levelling this way is that you will likely be Valor rank 60 by the time you reach max level, which is required for end-game PvP gear. * Note: If you level exclusively on PvP you will need to do some max-level planet missions to unlock level 50 dailies. Finally, you will need to do all Flashpoints in normal mode in order to unlock the hard mode level 50 versions, if you plan on gearing for PvE as well. 5) GENERAL TIPS * Whichever method you choose to level make sure you stay focused on that method, especially if you plan on levelling on planet missions. There is a danger when trying to do all methods that you will out-level content and thus greatly reduce your experience rewards. If this is your first character I would highly suggest dipping a little into each to experience the game, but when speed levelling an alt just focus on one. * If doing planet/class missions then you should go full DPS spec, regardless of what role you want in the end-game (Tank, Heals, or DPS). Missions will go much faster and thus you will level faster. Use your DPS companion if doing easier stuff to kill even faster, or pull out your healer if doing harder stuff. * An advanced method to levelling is to do a mix of planet/class missions and PvP. This will allow you to do missions to advance your story, and gain Valor rank along with Warzone/Mercenary commendations (convert when you get to the cap). However, you must be very careful not to out-level the planets or you will end up needing to do missions that reward very little experience. (credit: Temeluchus) * Speaking of companions, make sure you have them configured properly. Press the "`/~" key on your keyboard to bring up a companion's quickbar and make sure their proper stance is selected (e.g. DPS instead of Tank) and also make sure the abilities for the other role are turned off (e.g. don't have your DPS companion waste time throwing out taunts and dying constantly). * Note: If you're skipping your Class missions you will miss out on additional companions. This isn't that big of a deal though if you don't care about Crew Missions while you're levelling. You will always have at least the one companion from your starting planet that can help you while levelling. It's up to you if having them matters to you or not while levelling. * Map a keyboard button to a quickslot with your "reload" ability (regens health and ammo/force outside of combat), for example I mapped it to the <V> key. Hit it the second you get out of combat; it can be cancelled any time and doesn't have a cooldown. Getting in the habit of always hitting it will keep you fresh for each new fight and keep your missions moving at a brisk pace. * Map a keyboard button to a quickslot with your fastest speeder on it, for example I use <SHIFT>+<~>. Mount your speeder everywhere you can! * Save your credits and always buy the fastest speeder training and speeder as soon as they're available. * Gear can easily be acquired from planet vendors for credits and commendations, when arriving on a planet search for armor, weapon, and commendations vendors. Always take commendations from mission rewards, never gear your companion from immediate rewards or commendations, they will get your gear as you hand it down. Once you've purchased all available upgrades for YOU from commendations on a planet save them up and buy the artifact level container (24 commendations usually), it will either contain a piece of gear you can use or something you can sell. * Custom (orange) gear is awesome for low maintenance gearing while levelling. All you have to do is buy (or make) new gear mods every few levels to keep the gear relevant and powerful. It also has the added bonus of allowing you to select a coordinated look for yourself, instead of looking like some sort of demented space clown from random gear. * Don't forget about the Light/Dark Side vendors on Fleet. As you level up you will likely acquire Light/Dark side rank and these vendors sell some nice gear. * Learn how to use the Galactic Trade Network (GTN) and quickly search for upgrades whenever you're back on Fleet. * If you're levelling a cross-faction alt you can use the Hutt Trade Network (HTN) on Nar Shaddaa to transfer items/credits. * Ignore Datacrons while you're levelling, unless they're not too far out of the way or difficult to get, which doesn't apply to almost any of them. They're a time trap when you're trying to level quickly. Go back and get the relevant ones to your class after hitting max level. * Always log out in a cantina, your ship, or on Fleet so you can gain rested experience for when you come back. * Use Quick Travel as often as possible when you need to go back to a mission hub. Don't be afraid to use it! Often you could save precious time by using it, and almost always it will be available again by the next time you want to use it. * Also use your Fleet Pass... Need to get back to Fleet? Need to do a Flashpoint? Need to go to a new planet? Tired and want to log out (remember rested XP)? At the far end of the planet and want to get back to the spaceport? Use your Fleet Pass! * A well known tip but worth mentioning anyway: When you first get to Fleet and you're told to look into Crew Skills, make sure you talk to ALL the Crew Skill trainers before learning any. You get a ton of experience for discovering each one, but not after learning a Skill. * Finally, if this is indeed an alt character then you can greatly speed the levelling process by skipping through conversations. This is accomplished by pressing the <SPACEBAR>. I highly recommend *not* doing this on your Class story missions though. Personally I do it on all non-Galactic Basic speaking rolls though, since you're not gaining anything by listening to them "talk" (unless you enjoy the immersion). Also, if you start a conversation by mistake you can just press <ESC> to exit out of the conversation. Well, that's it. If you have any other speed levelling tricks please share them here!
  5. Let me start out by saying that I'm really enjoying this game at the moment, and I have great hopes that it will continue to improve and amass subscribers so that we can enjoy it for a long time. With that being said, I have some personal recommendations for improving the game... 1) There needs to be a galactic LFG channel and/or a type of looking for group tool added ASAP. Honestly, the game shouldn't have launched without something like this. It's very hard to find groups at the moment, especially on low population servers. This is exasperated by the fact that you can currently only look for groups in local channels, and with everyone being spread out between planets, fleet, ships, pvp, and so on it's often very hard to pool together enough members to even run a 4-man Flashpoint. A galactic LFG channel would be a simple solution to this, where you could see the channel no matter where you were in the galaxy and poll for groups. However, as we've seen in other games this would likely be abused by people using it as a general chat channel or for selling stuff. As a "quick fix" though this would work fairly well for the time being. In the long run a tool would be preferable. I know there is a lot of distaste over the WoW model of a LFG tool, so perhaps a simpler model could be implemented where it still leaves the control of forming groups in the players' hands? For example, what about a type of LFG "billboard" that players have access to from their UI. It could display all available Flashpoints, Operations, and (currently held) Heroic quests. Use the same level-matching color scheme for each (grey for low level, red for above level, and so on). Allow players to "check" those that they're looking to find a group for (multi-select) and then select a single role (tank/healer/dps). Then another player can open up the billboard from their UI and see who is interested in doing a Flashpoint/Operation/Heroic group and what roll they can fill, so they can then whisper them (initiated from the panel) and form a group. The billboard would have to pool everyone from the server and not just local zones either to be fully useful. Problem solved? 2) Add chat bubbles, for "say" at least. Possibly add an option for parties as well. The world feels a little lifeless without these. 3) When looking at a schematic, please show in the tooltip whether you already know it. Very cumbersome to search the market for new recipes without this. 4) When looking at a piece of gear please show tooltip comparisons for ALL companions, not just the current one. It's very annoying right now to have to summon each individual companion to look at their gear to see if a quest reward is an upgrade... especially those quests that offer a selection of rewards for each of your companions. Even more annoying when that companion is on a 1 hour+ crew mission! Furthermore, a nice quality of life improvement would be to see an empty tooltip for yourself/companions that says something like "n/a" for gear that can't be used and something like "empty slot" for gear that can be used but currently don't have anything in the slot. This would provide a nice quick at-a-glance view of where best to put a piece of gear. 5) When looking at a startship upgrade please show a tooltip comparison to what I currently have equipped in my ship. 6) To promote the sale of craftables from Crew Skills please provide a way to link an entire skill "book" in chat channels, where others can click it and see what we can make. 7) Please allow the preview window to show weapons. 8) Speaking of the preview window, please make it hi-res (or at least make it match our graphic settings). Gear looks "blurry" in the current preview window... 9) Allow gear previews from schematics. 10) When reverse engineering please consider showing a clear indication of items that may yield upgraded schematics so we're not left guessing and wasting stuff we could be using/selling instead. 11) Consider adding a beginner Codex entry that tells people where the various enhancements come from. For example: color crystals, enhancements, hilts from Artifice; mods and armoring from Cybertech; barrels from Armstech; and augments from Slicing missions. Also, underscore the longevity of custom gear and how it can be continually used through upgrades. 12) Codex entries that are unread should have some sort of highlighting or log so we can come back to read them at our own leisure since they sometimes pop up at very inconvenient times (like in Flashpoints) but it's not easy to remember which ones you missed while trying to stay in the action. 13) Codex entries for each Flashpoint boss (after you "discover" them) would also be nice, that outline their abilities so we can formulate strategies. It's very annoying to have to wipe to those bosses with "gotcha" mechanics that will always wipe a group the first time they see them, when some simple up front information would have given us an idea what to avoid or look for from the boss. 14) Please add the ability to keybind any tab in the various UI windows, such as the Codex. 15) Please consider putting quick travel points beside your ship on every planet so you can quickly get back to your ship if you want to. There is usually one outside the starport, but really, why not just put it in each classes' hangar to make it easier? 16) Add an option to add a cooldown timer number to abilities in the quickslot bars, so we can easily see how long we have to wait for an ability to be usable again. There should probably be a built-in filter threshold so that abilities with short cooldowns (<3 sec?) are not shown, in order to avoid visual "clutter". This would be a HUGE quality of life improvement in my opinion. 17) Operations need to be easier to heal. Instead of click-on-player/click-heal there should be an option to turn off self-healing by default and instead make it so you could do click-heal/click-on-player. 18) There seriously needs to be an easier way to put target marker icons on targets. It would also be helpful if there was a way to link marker icons in chat. Speaking of the target markers, the icons themselves could use an overhaul... something more universally understood for target order. For example, have the existing crosshairs but maybe put a big "1" inside it instead, and then have another crosshairs with a "2" in it, and so on. It would be MUCH more useful than all the ambiguous symbols we have now. I like the shield icon for tanks right now, but a green "plus" type icon would be nice for healers. 19) In Flashpoints/Operations/Heroic instances it would be helpful if all bosses were highlighted on the map. Right now I have no idea where the bosses are, or if we're missing any optional ones. 20) A small thing, but it would be nice to have the option to "ping" the minimap for group members. Right now it's really hard to coordinate where you want someone to go. 21) We need an easier way to navigate the planetary maps. For example, being able to right click zones all the way out to the overall planet map and then being able to click on an individual zone to view them and drill into their various sub-zones. Right now clicking doors on the map to navigate is confusing as the only way to navigate, and you can't even click on elevators and taxi points making it even more confusing to find your way around. 22) On the map show current map coordinates AND overall planet coordinates, the current system of separate coords is VERY confusing when you can only see one depending where you are. Please add "Z" coordinates to the main map as well (these are currently only visible from the minimap). 23) Please consider adding player creatable "waypoints" for finding our way around (such as to Datacrons). I miss these from SWG and WoW (although they were provided from addons there). 24) More an appeal request, but please consider changing the character select preview (after log in). Perhaps show your character scaled out so you can see the whole character, put the character into a iconic action pose (or let him cycle through several poses), and add the companion that you logged out with in the background also in a combat pose. I'd much rather a more dramatic action pose for my characters when logging in than the current super-zoom static view. 25) All space missions should have a summary of objectives screen at the beginning like the first couple do so we know what we're supposed to be doing. It would be nice if bonus mission objectives are listed as well. Also, they should require Spacebar to be pressed to begin the mission so we can actually read the details at our own speed before the mission starts. 26) Dual specs would be nice for having two pre-loaded talent selections so tanks/healers could go dps instead if needed by a group. Obviously triple specs would be even more ideal though for having a pre-selected role setup for each of the trees in an AC's specializations to enjoy the different aspects of gameplay they each provide, but I'd be happy enough just getting the option to quickly swap between two at the moment. 27) Macros! They don't have to be anything too complex, but I would like the option to (for example) force my companion to attack my current target or have a quickslot button perform different actions depending on whether I had ctrl/alt/shift pressed when clicking it. Assist (target/focus) macros would be very nice too. 28) New ships! No offense, but I hate the trooper ship so much. I'd love the option to have a selection of new ships to buy... I love space combat, but my ship is so ugly, I want more options please! (PS. Add keybind options for space combat.) 29) It is very difficult to craft your superior crew skill items without taking the associated mission-type crew skill. Specifically, if you take Slicing instead of the related mission one you hit a wall if the mats are not available on the market. For example, it's next to impossible for me to craft my improved Cybertech wares because the costs of mats are too prohibitive and/or the mats are unavailable on the market or through my gathering skill (Scavenging), all because I didn't take Underworld Trading. It would be nice if there was an alternative to getting these mats besides the mission-type crew skill or the GTN. 30) Another issue I've run into is if you level too fast by doing alternative objectives (such as PvP, Flashpoints, and Space Combat) then you will out-level the actual questing experience and you'll get little reward for "slogging" through a ton of quests and have no options to skip to the next part of the story (which I wouldn't want to do anyway). I can understand the reasoning but it sort of spoils the rewards for the effort of doing quests. The only thing I can think of to possibly fix this is to maybe move PvP and Space Combat to end-game only, and remove dailies for dungeons and heroic quests. Harsh, but doing all these has sort of inadvertently spoiled my levelling experience. Added: 19-Jan-2012 31) Add in target-of-target. It's impossible to tell who your target currently has targeted, making it difficult to make tactical decisions. 32) Right now left-clicking a player's name in chat lets you whisper them and right-clicking brings up a context menu for various options. It would be nice if shift-clicking their name gave you some info about the player, such as class, level, location, and guild. At the moment if you receive a whisper from someone it's impossible to see any details about them if they're not on your current "planet". 33) Furthermore, it would be nice if "/who name" gave you a shortcut who search for the supplied name. All it does now is pop up the general who search of the entire planet and forces you to enter the name in the search box. 34) Please consider shortening the crew skill durations! Thirty minutes to craft something?!? Almost one and half hours to retrieve a paltry amount of crafting supplies?!? That's a little ridiculous. I understand it's not bad if you do it in the background and slowly over time, but if you want to be a crafter or just create some upgrades it's extremely infuriating. I like some of the stuff they've done with crafting but these wait times completely spoil it, at least for me personally. 35) Speaking of crew skills, it's a little frustrating that Underworld Trading covers so many crafting supplies. With so many mission-type crew skills why were so many crafting materials shoe-horned into Underworld Trading? To make matters worse it also covers companion gifts as well. Why not split farbics from metals into two different mission-type crew skills? 36) Maybe I just haven't figured out the trick to it yet, but it seems like we can't buy stacks of items from vendors. If there isn't a way to do this then please consider adding it. 37) I love the challenge presented from getting Datacrons. However, right now you can only find these usually by searching the internet. It would be nice if there were some hints presented in-game for the locations of Datacrons on a planet. Such as once you fully survey a section of the map a circle could appear on the map indicating the general location of the Datacron there, or maybe just have a "datacron hunter" npc located in each spaceport that will tell you each of the maps on the planet that have a Datacron. 38) Please add a mailbox on our spaceships. It's inconvenient having to land just for mail when hanging in your spaceship doing missions or whatever. 39) You can upgrade your spaceship but you can never really upgrade how fast your missles reload or the amount of missles you can have pre-loaded. Both of these would be highly desirable new upgrades. 40) Group summons would be really nice to have. Apparently this existed in beta (through Cybertech and guilds) but was removed. What was the reason and will we ever see it come back? So many times after I finally assemble a group for heroic quests or flashpoints I'm stuck waiting even longer for everyone to get together to actually do it. It's just added frustration... 41) When I first saw this game I must admit that I was really excited about the idea of a ranged tank. However, now that I've played a Trooper for a while I have to say that I'm a little disappointed... basically it's still a melee tank with some ranged attacks. Our main threat attack (Stock Strike) is melee, our interrupt (Riot Strike) is melee, our Smoke Grenade debuff can't be thrown so it's basically melee, and our Ion Pulse attack has too short of a range (10m) compared to our other ranged attacks. Don't get me wrong, it's all very functional but not a true ranged tank, which is unfortunate considering how truly "revolutionary" it could have been for the tanking role. Something to consider... 42) Datacron #47 on Alderaan (Castle Panteer) is impossible to get for players with a larger body type (size #3 and #4), they cannot fit through the broken doorway. While this is more of a bug, I'm mentioning it here since it would require a geographical change and I know those take a little more time/work to change. 43) Currently companion gifts have an invisible cooldown, as a result we have no idea how long we have to wait until we can give another companion gift. Why is there even a cooldown? Regardless, if there must be a cooldown then at least make it visible, please. Added: 24-Jan-2012 44) Consider adding a couple of buttons to the character creation screen that allows us to "preview" our character creation a little bit. One button could be for random text phrases, just so we can hear the voice and see the character's facial expressions. The other button could be for cycling class character animations so we can see them in motion. For example: Trooper animations could cycle between running, pulling out a carbine into battle stance, shooting full auto on an assault cannon, and doing a stock strike. This would give us a better idea of what our potential character would actually look like in the game and make it a lot easier to decide on our final creation. 45) It would be extremely helpful if we could exchange mail with our cross-faction alts (on the same server). If you have a character in each faction at the moment there is no way to spread out your resources between them, artificially limiting you even though you've put in the work equally in both characters levelling, raising their crew skills, and acquiring credits/resources. For example, I have a high level Republic Trooper with quite a bit of credits, max crew skills, and a lot of materials. Now if I want to start a new character on the Empire side I have no way of sending anything to that character to ease the levelling process, even though I've put in the time amassing it on the one character. This makes it less appealing to try out the opposite faction after you've levelled a character though the other, limiting the potential alt-levelling longevity aspect of the game, to a degree. 46) Press <enter> to log into a selected character, press <esc> to exit from the charcter select screen. Non-mouse inputs are always welcomed. Thanks for your time

  7. I know I can, but as I mentioned in my original post, you lose a lot of functionality by doing that (such as interrupts) so it's not a true option.
  8. I'd feel like a real trooper then... You never see a clone/storm trooper run up to their opponents and start shooting at them, they stay back with their squad mates and gun down the opposition. From a gameplay perspective it would allow my Guard ability to remain functional on my group's healer without forcing them to come into melee. I'm just saying I have a gun, I want to shoot from range, it just feels wrong having to run up to everyone's face to tank effectively. It just doesn't feel right for the class. I mean if I have to be up close, realistically why would I even use a carbine... I should be using a scattergun to do more damage.
  9. This was exactly my point... after playing a prot warrior in WoW for 6+ years I was actually excited about a new model of tanking, where I didn't have to be right in the face of my enemies but still able to hold aggro. Of course melee enemies would still be in my face, but it seems like only about half (or less) of each pack of enemies are melee so the ranged tanked idea would have worked out really well. Like I said, the way they did it is still very functional, it's just a little disappointing and it is definitely not true "ranged" tanking, unfortunately.
  10. Exterior: 3 Interior: 6 I can't stand the "B-wing" design... one of the ugliest ships in the original trilogy and they decide to replicate it here It looks like a box with cardboard floppy wings on it... If we can ever get another ship I'll get it in a heartbeat!
  11. When I first saw this game I must admit that I was really excited about the idea of a ranged tank.
  12. Added the following item: 42) Datacron #47 on Alderaan (Castle Panteer) is impossible to get for players with a larger body type (size #3 and #4), they cannot fit through the broken doorway. While this is more of a bug, I'm mentioning it here since it would require a geographical change and I know those take a little more time/work to change.
  13. Added the following items: 31) Add in target-of-target.
